I had my first raw denim experience at Dutil. I am especially grateful to have visited to shop when Scott was working because he is the BEST. As a denim novice, I flooded myself with information from Reddit and YouTube and was overwhelmed. However, Scott guided me through the process of finding the right fit/material for me with patience and competence. If you’re just stepping your foot into the denim world, this is the place.

Great selection of denim and outerwear and the team is always super helpful with advice without pushing a sale on you for the wrong type of jeans. Have bought a few pairs from them and the service is always excellent.

While visiting Toronto, I stopped by Dutil because I was really interested in buying a pair of selvedge jeans. Brad helped me out a ton and helped me find a great pair of jeans. I got to try on a ton of different jeans, and he fitted me the same day for a hem when I found one I really liked. I don't live in Canada, so he helped ship them out for me. Seriously amazing place and very nice workers. 10/10 for their selection, customer service and atmosphere!!

I had such a great experience at dutil denim thanks to Scott. He really knows his stuff and was incredibly helpful in guiding me through my first pair of Naked & Famous jeans. You can tell he’s genuinely passionate about denim, he broke everything down in a way that made sense and kept it real the whole time. I had an amazing experience at Dutil, I initially went in looking for a pair of raws after not wearing raw denim in 8 years, so I felt sorta clueless. Scott was really helpful and kind in helping me find the right pair, and dropping some great denim knowledge. Scott was attentive and brought me multiple pairs to try on, gauging my feedback on the fitment of each pair and going from there. I'm impressed by his knowledge of the characteristics and fitment of the products there. Eventually when nothing fit, they shipped me a pair they didn't have in stock from one of their other locations, and that pair fit perfectly. I think that's definitely going above and beyond for a client!

Went in looking for help choosing the right fit of denim. The staff was friendly and super helpful. I must have spent nearly 45 minutes trying on jeans and asking lots of questions. They were kind and patient and I got the perfect fitting pair. I will definitely be back for more and I can't recommend these guys enough.

Went here for the first time today, and it was amazing! Brad and Scott were incredibly helpful - they clearly care about what they do and it made the experience all the better.

Obviously an amazing selection of denim, but left disappointed. Was looking forward to buying a few pairs. Couldn’t get the attention of the guy working, so I just tried looking for my size and couldn’t find anything. With only one other customer in the store and being cashed out, I was still unable to get any assistance. Coming from a service background, it can just take “be with you in a moment.” But was not acknowledged at all. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Folks I am not a denim aficionado but this place even made me think twice about the functional nature of this fabric. We are not talking about Jay Leno closet run of the mill stuff, we are talking about some odd brands from Japan, limited edition run of well known stuff and some up and coming designers. Having spent a lifetime in textile manufacturing I tend to admire good craftsman ship over design and some of the stuff sold here showcased it well. Staff is laid back and is there to help if you need it though I didn't appreciate the resident dog that followed me around. The seem to know about denim which is a good sign. The interior is more on the functional side and they have tons of inventory. I would say worth a visit for you next perfect pair of blues.

If you are looking for raw denim in Toronto, this is the only spot to visit. Went on boxing day and although they were crazy busy, all of the employees were really chill and knowledgeable, and took the time to help everyone. The store manager Jazz - I can't say enough good things about this dude. They didn't have the jeans I wanted so he got them shipped from the Vancouver location to Toronto - and then back out to me! (I don't live in town) The selection is amazing and the have some of the top brands worldwide. Prices range from reasonable to very high, and you get what you pay for.

Absolutely fantastic denim shop. Incredibly helpful and knowledgable staff who are willing to answer any and all questions--even your stupid ones! I'll be honest, I originally went into this store to try on denim before purchasing them from a cheaper alternative online. After spending about an hour with their excellent staff, I will never buy denim online again. Dutil takes care of their customers and makes sure you leave happy.

Very cool space and I got a lot of details on different demins and wasn't planning to buy last week but ended up dropping $300. Very happy with my purchases and would recommend getting the skinny on this place.

Best place to buy raw denim, hands down. The guy that does the jean hemming is phenomenal, I wish I remembered his name. Don't go anywhere else to get your denim or hemming done.

While visiting one of my favorite cities in oh Canada, I happened upon this amazing denim store. Now I'm a 40 something and recently lost some weight and gained some muscle so nothing is really fitting me like it use to. Smaller waist and much bigger legs etc.... I walked in and the dude at the cash register was eating his lunch, there were probably 7 or 8 other people helping others, so I think he got me by default, either that or I looked like an American ready to drop $300 (that's Canadian) on a nice fitting pair of jeans. That happened... I explained my issue, he guessed my waist size and was off by one, but sought out a few pairs of jeans for me. He was spot on with the 1st pair, and I loved them and bought them. Unfortunately the other were made for dudes with chicken legs or should I say the Justin beibers of the world who are into that sort of thing. All kidding aside I couldn't be more happy with what I bought, will I wait 6 months to wash them like they recommend HELL NO, but I will try my best to overwash them like I do to all my clothes. I don't ever want to be known as the dirty kid again... Yeah that was me circa 1983... whatever I can afford $300 jeans now so fuck off eh !

I was in the market for a top notch pair of new jeans and I was told Dutil was the only place worth going. I walked in not knowing what brand I wanted just the fit I like and JERRY (what a dreamy awesome sales dude) literally choose my exact perfect pair of pants with very little guidance of what I even wanted. These guys realllyyyy know their stuff and they actually care that you get what you're looking for. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I was in and out of Dutil with my dream jeans in under 7 minutes flat. I'm sold. Never buying pants anywhere else again! xo

I bought a pair of jeans here in December and literally have not taken them off since! Was so impressed by the customer service I got, the girl working there, Andrea? told me to size down way more than I normally would and I'm sooo happy the way they have worn in! For sure going back to get a new pair for spring. HIGHLY reccomend for good quality denim and amazing help!!!
