Dvorni Bar

I ended up visiting Divino Bar after coming down from the castle, when I was in the mood for some wine and a few small bites. I decided to go for tapas, expecting the usual sort of portions I’m used to in the UK, where you normally order around three to five plates to make a meal of it. That was definitely not the case here. I ordered what seemed to be tapas-style dishes, including calamari, steak tartare, and some potato wedges and honestly, I could have done with two more people to help me eat it all. I was dining alone, and the portions were absolutely huge. The calamari was especially memorable and probably some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. There was just so much of it. The potato wedges were also really good and ended up being perfect for eating alongside the steak tartare. The steak tartare itself was a little bland for my taste, although the pink peppercorns were an interesting touch. The staff were very friendly, and overall I had a really good experience. My main advice would just be: don’t over-order. If you’re dining solo, one plate is probably enough.

Had a great time at Dvorni Bar! Big shoutout to Žan — super friendly, polite, and professional. Even though he’s young, he really knows his Slovenian wines and gave us great recommendations. The wine selection is excellent, the vibe is relaxed and cozy, and the whole place just feels nice to be in. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

I have been to this place for several years. Hands down the best wine and tapas bar in Ljubljana. They have a good selection that makes sense, staff is informed and know their wine. So, you can always try interesting wine even without knowing a lot. (Wine tasting with Boris can help :) with that) I feel always welcome and special here. Zoja and Veronika were very kind, friendly and competent. I will continue to come and bring people here. 10/10

Spent a wonderful afternoon at Dvorni Bar. The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable about Slovenian wines. They continually made excellent recommendations and took us on a wonderful journey. Cannot recommend highly enough.

If I could give 10 stars for service I would. Very busy for a reason.

Reviews indicated this wine/tapas bar had an excellent selection of wines by the glass. They were spot on and the waiter recommended a couple of dry, bold reds from Slovenia. One was a cab/merlot blend the other a cab. Both were excellent though I chose to have an additional glass of the cab. I had the local specialty Kranjska sausage with mustard and horseradish. It was not so impressive as our guide said it was. This is no fault of the restaurant, I just think I would select a different dish next time. They have a varied and lengthy menu. I have been impressed with the Croatian and Slovenian red wines on this trip. Outdoor seating on this lovely day was a plus.
