The location is amazing, very quiet and set on the lake shore. The hosts, David And Jennifer, are wonderful and fascinating. Nothing was too much trouble. Expect home cooked meals and a buffet breakfast all cooked by Jennifer. We only got to spend one night but David still arranged a canoe trip in the morning before we left. The lodging itself is a work in progress: there were lovely outdoor areas and a nice dining area but the public area toilets seemed out of action, and the bar was being used as storage. The cabin was quirky if a bit rough and ready. Really you feel you are spending time in someone's delightful home.

Unforgettable Stay at Eagle Bear Lodge I came to Eagle Bear Lodge on a work trip and was completely blown away. What started as just another assignment turned into an experience I’ll never forget. Whether you're traveling solo or with a group, this place is an absolute gem—and hands down the best choice for accommodation if you're in the area for work or a little get-away from home. David and Jennifer are phenomenal hosts. Dave is always ready with a quick joke to keep spirits high, and Jen's storytelling makes every evening feel special. They made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Jennifer is an amazing cook who kept us well-fed, and Dave’s desserts? Next level. And then there’s Trooper and Daisy—the friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet. Trooper greeted me every morning on my way to breakfast, and both pups will absolutely steal your heart. The scenery is stunning, too. The lake view changes with the light and weather, offering a new kind of beauty every day. Honestly, if you’re talking to your boss about where to stay—this is it. You won’t regret it.

Wonderful experience. The Hosts are thoughtful, entertaining, and kind hearted animal lovers. They give a home away from home experience. Due to the lake and forested area, there is a lot of wildlife to experience and image. These people are perfect guides!

The Hosts are really thoughtful. I appreciate that they are able to identify local wildlife and they are able to provide information on the history of indigenous nations in the area. The cabins were cozy, the food was great, and the wine was flowing.

I had a super stay at Eagle Bear Lodge.|The cabins were very clean and cozy and had all the amenities I needed for my stay. |The meals were lovely and Jenny and David were great hosts. Both are very knowledgeable on the area and the wildlife and gave me great recommendations for local hikes and hidden gems! I even got the chance to go kayaking and fishing on Tatla Lake during my stay. |The views from the lodge are incredible and the surrounding area is a nature lovers paradise! |I will definitely be back again

We spent two nights and had a wonderful time with our very kind hosts Dave and Jennifer. The lodge has beautiful views of Eagle Lake, distant mountains, and, being there in September, lots of fall colours. Our cabin was very comfortable with lots of space, a wood stove and a kitchenette. They are developing a beautiful new bistro and great room in the lodge which has stunning views of the lake. When we ran into trouble with a flat tire shortly after we had left, they were very helpful in making calls to get our tire repaired. A great stay!

Jennifer and Dave (along with dogs Trooper and Daisy) were gracious, wonderful hosts and amazing conversationalists. Loved the stories and antidotes of lodge life. Did lots of extras like starting the fires in the cabins when it cooled off. We had interesting and engaging guests at dinner that made the stay enjoyable. Always love to hear about other countries and travels. Location and views were amazing!| Food was not amazeballs but good straightforward fare. Main lodge is under renovation, it looks like it will be amazing when completed. Did make it a bit tricky to get about in the process. | The room we were disappointed in. The original room we booked was not available and we were ‘upgraded’ to the Deer Room. It was a very quaint 1950’s cabin with wonderful views. I think it it has potential but fell short of what we would consider good value for the price paid. Access was tricky steps. Beds were comfortable and well appointed. But there was a general lack of cleanliness over all. We understand that you can’t be critter free in this area but it seems a final check of the room may have been overlooked. Items in fridge, stale water in kettle and overall dusty and unswept. The heat also didn’t extend to the bathroom which made for chilly bathroom trips, obviously not an issue in summer.

We were disappointed with this stay. Given the price (a lot more than comparable properties in the W Chilcotin plateau) we were expecting something better. The cabin we had booked was not available and we were given Moose cabin - the same price. This had the bed up stairs with difficult access at the top. The cabin was rather dusty. The cups were not clean. The towels and toiletries were a shambolic muddle. No bathrobes (not a problem) The bathroom was bodge do it yourself design - lots of hawk-white and a plastic bag over the electrics. |The good : Jennifer was a good hostess and the meals were good. Breakfast was good too. Delicious home made cinnamon buns one day. We had some really nice dinner companions who were staying at the same time which helped our feeling about the stay.|The lake and surroundings are beautiful.
