Well, it is a hotel in the middle of nowhere, so you are glad for anything. Stuff is trying hard, great service, great atmosphere in the restaurant, food is kinda weak point, especially dinner menu. Breakfast on the other hand, amazing. Prices are higher, as expected. Good selection of beer and drinks, rooms are far from luxurious, but that's to be expected and it adds to the overall atmosphere.

Spent two nights here going back and forth to tuktoyaktuk. The hotel is very run down. I don't think they have invested money into it.|The lounge chairs are disgusting, very badly stained. Looks like people have had accidents in all of them. The lounge is a very cool looking room with all the bear rugs and animals on the walls.||Chairs in the breakfast cafeteria style room are not much better. Sat on one and it collapsed due to rust on the welds.||I will say the food is very good and has good portions. Prices are reasonable considering where you are. Be prepared to share your meal with up to three dogs that are there during meal times.||Rooms and hotel are poor. But the sheets are clean. Room was clean.||Gas prices here are nuts, up to $3 a litre.|I suggest getting gas in fort McPherson, it was a $1.68 to $1.90||Tried to use the car wash but it didn't work. ||There's a camp ground also, but people told me the Washroom and showers for the campers were disgusting.

Only place to stay along the Dempster if you are not camping. Rooms are old and used with thin walls but sheets are clean and comfortable and bathroom, while a bit beat up is also clean and comfortable. Restaurant on site is really good!

Better than expected- I stayed a night at the hotel and enjoyed the bar and restaurant. The hotel rooms were comfortable and better than expected given the remoteness of this place. By comparison - I did the Dalton Highway in Alaska and stayed at the Coldfoot Camp which was far more primitive; the Eagle Plains was a palace. I heard the campground and showers for that were not great, but I was pleased with my room and shower. The restaurant and bar was good as well. Not cheap but again, this is a remote outpost of a place. |People working there were friendly and looked like they had been there for a while. Internet was good, satellite and free.

Excellent location. OK rooms. Amazing bartender. But do not order a hamburger. Our group of five, one ordered hamburger, four ordered the beef dip, next day guess who was sick.

This is the only lodge on the way to Inuvik from Dawson City. This is a perfect spot to break down your trip into two days. I stayed here both to and from Inuvik. It's older but rooms are decently maintained. You can get food here too and gas and mechanic services.

Again it's one of the only places to stop on the Dempster hwy... Don't expect modern, not exactly clean , and under no circumstances use there public shower which they charge 10 dollars for... I would not wash my dog in there! But there is food and drink, and a motel... And wolf dogs....

After a long tiring journey from Dawson City, Eagle Plains hotel was a really great place to take a break. Pretty good room under the circumstances, hot shower and good food. Friendly staff. Will come back again.
