Eagle's Nest Resort

We had a great stay here, including a memorable meal in the dining room overlooking the lake. After dinner we went out on the dock and bird-watched -- saw a loon, an eagle and a hawk of some kind. Pelicans were visible on the far side of the lake, with the help of our binoculars. Rooms are simple, but comfortable enough, with vintage decor. Both rooms included screened-in decks with views of the marsh by the lake -- which made for good bird-watching in the morning. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

From our first warm welcome, to our final good-byes, our stay at the Eagle's Nest Resort was perfect. |Tim and Tena are the perfect hosts. Their knowledge of the area and their suggestions of activities filled our days with wonder and awe. Tena's delicious evening meals made with locally grown produce were all the more special for being served in the dining-room overlooking the spectacular lake. At the end of the day we would retire to our cozy, spotlessly clean room to listen to birdsong on the large screened balcony.|Birdwatching, even for those with no experience is captivating. From the dock you can watch the endangered white pelicans soar and land nearby, osprey fish and loons are also a frequent sight.|We took out one of the canoes and explored the lake, and marsh which brought us within a metre of various birds. |The short easy hike to the Precipice/Hotnarko Falls and the hoodoo was stunning, and nearby at Nimpo Lake we took a floatplane tour of the Rainbow Range, Monarch Glacier Field and Hunlen Falls.

Everything about our visit to the resort was just perfect. The resort is superbly run - Tim is the consummate gentleman and host and Tenna's wonderful cooking was one of the highlights of our two week tour in the Cariboo / Chilcoltin / Bella Coola area. We only required two of the smallest rooms for our particular needs but they were very homely. The dining room was a throwback to a bygone era somehow and added to the overall charm of the resort. Stunning views from there too. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We spent two days of our Canada roundtrip during our honeymoon in Eagles Nest Resort in Anahim Lake. We had a wonderful time at Tim & Tenna‘s Resort - they are very welcoming, friendly and always had time for a quick chat or recommendations for the area. The resort is amazing - it‘s directly located at Anahim Lake with a wonderful view around the lake and the forest. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and cozy - the perfect place for a nice evening :-) we can heartly recommend a nice Kanu-Tour on Anahim Lake. The area around the resort has nice hiking trails, although the wildfires in the past years unfortunately have left their mark. The dinner and breakfast is of incredible quality - Tenna is an amazing chef and the prices are very fair. The resort is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few calm days in a peaceful and romantic area :-) We would definately come back, if we get the chance to do so!

We stayed in this resort. We for sure liked the environment, lake, the peace, quietness, birds… We enjoyed some hours in the evening as well during breakfast. Owners were very friendly. The bathroom did not worked well which was a pity and it was hard to sleep because of the light from the hall next door coming in but i can understand the overall feeling. Normally you can take a great dinner too but due to some understanding circumstances that did not happen. Now we have a reason to come back. I am sure the toilet will be repared by then. The views at the lake are outstanding. It is a great spot and by far the best in the environment.

What a memorable stay! We were supposed to spend two nights here but ended up being stuck in Anahim Lake due to the fires. We spent 4 nights at the Eagles Nest Resort and Tim and Tena went out of their way to help us figuring out new plans and make us forget we were stuck. We felt at home and the food was more than delicious! Everything we tried was a true pleasure to eat. The dinner room had a great view on the lake, Tim created a great atmosphere with the choice of music, his presence and nice cuttlery. We were able to really relax and enjoied our time there. Tim has good tipps on what to do in the area and lend us the hotels canoes for free. Highly recommended to stay if you pass there.

We stayed one night at the Eagles Nest on our way to Bella Coola. It was such a wonderful atmosphere there and Tim was so kind and helpful.
