We have been going to Eagles Resort for 11 years now, and this was our sixth stay at the Villa. It really feels like a home away from home, because we know that we will go there and be able to properly relax. We do visit other resorts, but there is something about Eagles Villas, that always makes us think that other resorts are not as good, so we always go back to it.||||The staff are very professional, friendly and smiling, without however being overimposing or fake. You really get the sense that the staff feel happy working at the resort, which for my family at least is important. Often what might ruin an experience at a resort is if we sense staff are mistreated even though they are trying to be professional. The customers at the resort generally also tend to be people who are respectful of other guests and staff, which creates a lovely atmosphere. ||||The resort is overall beautiful, very well tended to and clean, beautifully laid out with wonderful views from wherever you turn. In the evening at the villas it is lovely and quiet, very peaceful. ||||The beach is long and the sun loungers well spaced out. There are numerous activities to do at the hotel. We love the sea so we focused on swimming, diving from the pontoon (such fun!) and doing waterspouts and scuba diving. The Athos scuba diving team are exceptional, highly professional and encouraging and we very much enjoyed taking part. It is important to note that water sports and scuba diving or snorkelling are extra and you need to pay cash or card. ||||As for the food there are many options. We loved Armyra and Eagles Club for mediterranean lunches and our favourites for dinner were Lofos and Kamares. We also really liked the food and service at Vinum. As for Armyra, even though it was lovely, a few staff members were not as professional as in the other restaurants, did not have the same amount of courtesy or were not so much 'on the ball'...maybe not as well trained... Armyra felt a bit like an overpriced taverna, rather than a restaurant at a luxury resort, but maybe that is the aim... ||||We were on the Bon Vivant package, which is like an all inclusive with a few exceptions. It is worth it if you are a family with children because there is endless juice/ water and ice-creams included. Also if you like drinking alcohol and cocktails, want endless ice-creams and can have a three course meal at lunch at dinner, it is worth it. We found we were not making full use of it because we could not eat as much, and we do not drink much.||||One thing the hotel could do better, is to try and maybe engage guests in recycling, like have separate bins for things in all locations and in the rooms? I do not know if that would be possible, but it is such a shame that so much waste is going to a landfill.||||There are also numerous areas exploring near Eagles Villas, like a boat tour of the Mount Athos Monasteries and taking the passenger ferry across to the island of Ammouliani, which has some exceptional beaches. ||||We look forward to going to Eagles Villas again and we have been recommending it to friends and family!
