Delicious dinner beautifully presented, Earl has always been our top 5 restaurant choice to dine out in Christchurch! A restaurant that can’t fault their foods would definitely recommend and return to samplings more of their other new dishes in Spring season!

Loved every bite especially the appetisers and sides, ambiance was also much more cozy than the photos I saw online. I don’t always leave reviews but this place exceeded expectations!

We were a group of 7 who went on a First Table booking (3 paid full price). The meals were delicious but the portion sizes were very small. For example, there were 5 half roast potatoes. Really?! Potatoes are cheap. Why not serve at least half a potato per person?! The other issue was the time. We arrived at 5:30 pm and didn’t get served dessert until 8 pm. There were long waits between courses. Overall, a disappointing dining experience.

Amazing! We had eat like an earl! The amount of food that came out was great. We left feeling super full. Service was amazing, and staff were attentive and friendly. Food was top quality and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back in the near future!

We usually come in for pasta nights, but we walk in on full reservations and still manage to offer us a spot for 1.5hr. Amazing food as usual

I recently dined at Earl and had such a great experience. I started with the focaccia served with smoked butter – simple but packed with flavour – and enjoyed one of their refreshing mocktails. For my main, I had the pork cutlet with brussels sprouts, which was cooked perfectly. My mum had the homemade gnocchi and absolutely loved it. The service was excellent – our waiter was professional, attentive, and very efficient, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. We finished with dessert: I had the affogato, while my mum went for the decadent chocolate dessert – both were absolutely delicious. Overall, everything from the food to the service was spot on. I would definitely recommend Earl to anyone looking for a delicious meal head to the Earl.

Did the chef’s tasting menu which was delicious along with the wine pairing. Great vibe, busy with diners coming and going, lovely setting. Definitely recommend for a nice evening out!

We did the 5-course tasting menu which overall was really delicious! Each course was thoughtful and tasty, with the only let-down being the fish — the sides were great, but the fish itself was a little bland. Drinks service was quite slow, though we’re putting that down to it being a busy night. Aside from that, the service overall was excellent and we’d definitely come back to try again.

Beautiful environment, great food and service. I ordered the lunch salad with lamb. Delicious! Back for the chicken schnitzel sandwich!

My friend and I, thanks to grab one went for an "eat like an earl" set menu experience There isn't much that I didn't like about the place, the service was great. The food was fresh and delicious. We weren't really explained what food was coming when we were seated, which was ok because I enjoy the element of surprise. Portions were solid, would definitely come back to try full menu.
