Great brunch spot in Asheville! Visited on the 4th of July around 11:30 AM, surprisingly calm and no long wait. Service was friendly and efficient. The spinach potato pancakes with tomato sauce were incredible, truly unique! Potatoes were tasty but slightly cold. Coffee was decent, a bit acidic but still enjoyable. The only downside was the ambience in the back felt a bit empty and cold. The brick walls are nice, but the space could shine with local art instead of generic decor. Still, the food makes it worth the visit!

After a 40 minute wait because they’re so busy and highly recommended I would’ve thought this place would be really good… boy was I wrong. After being seated waited another 10-12 minutes for the server to take our drink order. Our party includes one vegetarian and one with an anaphylactic fish allergy and was very disappointed to find out that fish and meat are fried in the same oil as everything else! Glad my fiancé isn’t a strict vegan.. order roasted Brussels sprouts salad that was supposed to come with pumpkin seeds on it, instead it came out with cold sweet potatoes on top. The roasted sprouts were cold as well. She got a side order os sweet potatoes in a sweet chili-esque sauce that were inedible. The steak burger was good, but missing tomato. The shredded cheese on the burger was a little much and overpowering. The cinnamon apples were basically mush (you can see in the picture). The coleslaw was almost flavorless if not for the overwhelming sour lemon taste. The fries were bland and soggy. Chicken tenders were cold. After dropping off the food we did not see our server again. None of us finished our food. One of the worse restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.

Google
what is sweet little spot to stop for breakfast on my travels. The wait staff is so in tune with their customers watching to make sure everyone has the experience they came here for. The manager is present and checking in to be sure that things are to his standard! And! If you’ve never had biscuits as French toast, you gotta try it!! I’ll be back!

Google
Loved this place! The inside was charming, quiet, and peaceful. The food was also great, highly recommend any of their Biscuit French dishes, I've never had a French toast style biscuit before but it was to die for! The chicken was also very tasty, and it's clear that their ingredients are great quality and super fresh. The service was equally incredible, being friendly, quick, and responsive.

We have enjoyed Early girl over the years. We also really really enjoyed king daddy’s, which is no more, but Early girl still keeps some of their chicken on their menu, which is great. Our last visit, though, held a couple of disappointments. I know everybody is bouncing back from Helene. We are still bouncing back as well; a lot of trees are still down at the house, and this review is not to tell folks not to patronize early girl, it’s just a few suggestions for those who do patronize it and also the management. It certainly is still worthwhile to go to Early girl! That’s said, here are the few of the issues we encountered on our last visit. First, it was so cold. The interior of the restaurant was so chilly. You know they have metal chairs, and so it was shocking when we sat on them. We all put our coats on our chairs so we weren’t as cold. I know they’ll end up with a giant Heating bill if they turn the heat up too much, but it would be nice to have the heat turned up a little bit when these frigid temperatures hit our mountains. Secondly, the fries were just tasteless this time. It’s like they had no salt or no flavor. That’s not happened in the past. So they may want to just double check what is happening with their fries. My husband said the same thing of their yam scram. I tasted it, and he was right. My daughter had the veggie breakfast bowl, and she was a bit surprised the spinach was raw. I don’t remember ever having that before, so I don’t know how that is served, but it would be nice if they noted it on the menu. On the good side, my mimosa flight was delicious. Their mimosas are always a highlight. My king daddy chicken sandwich was very good, per usual. The server was very attentive. I’m just wondering if something was off with the seasonings in the kitchen that day. And, it may be nice to tell folks that the spinach will come raw on the vegetable bowl. That’s a bit unusual. We do still appreciate and love the fact that they can make things vegan, gluten-free; the biscuits are excellent, they have imladris jams and other local products.

Google
I honestly can’t wait to go back. This restaurant is an unique place. Dishes are large and the food is amazing. Most of ingredients are organic and everything is from local farmers- that’s a big plus for me . Super friendly staff and nice atmosphere plenty space to dine also. I highly recommend this fabulous restaurant 😀

Google
I saw this was a popular place in Ashville, so I decided to try it. I got the Bow To The King Biscuit French and to say the most. The biscuit was dry and really didn't taste french toasty at all. Chicken tenders were very lightly cooked. I got my order to go. Maybe I should have gotten something different.i didn't even finish it 😕

Google
Disappointed, it looked amazing online but the food was lackluster. I asked for no chocolate and got it anyway. Cocktail was okay. Waited 45 minutes for a table and our food was cold. Spent way too much money for 1 person ($40). I wish I could get my money back.

Yelp
Go in Early Girl hungry!!!! Their breakfast/brunch servings are huge!! Very cute place located in west Asheville with a location downtown as well. It's not a large place, maybe 15 or so tables inside with some outside covered seating as well. If you like French toast, you have to try the biscuit French toast. They make it with the day before biscuits so that they don't go to waste. Delicious!! Their omelettes were gigantic and so yummy. I'm a mimosa lover, so when I saw the mimosa flight, yes please!! I had never had dragonfruit in a mimosa, but now I have and I'll do it again!! The service was great, but it did take a bit to get our food. I wouldn't hold that against them because they were pretty busy and it was a Saturday morning.

John B.

Yelp
I did not have a good service experience, but that wasn't really the issue. This is a busy downtown place, even on a weekday, but they seemed not to have a dedicated greeter so a lot of people were waiting awkwardly for a table. When I ordered food, it took some forty minutes to come, which I was told was due to a kitchen error. This actually wasn't a huge deal for me as I had some telework to do. But what got me is that when my tofu breakfast plate arrived, it had a really small amount of actual tofu on it. I liked the biscuit and potatoes fine, but I wanted some protein with my breakfast and just didn't get what I expected. It's no good when you finish the plate that you waited forty minutes for for and still feel hungry. Most people at this place did not partake in its vegan and gluten-free options, and they seemed to have gotten better portions, so I don't know what is going on there. If margins are that tight, charge me another dollar and give me like three times the amount of scrambled tofu and vegetables because that was not enough, and I certainly was in no mood to order anything else at that point. I think there's some quality there, and if I find myself trying another location I'll hope they do better.

Yelp
Ambiance 3* Service 4* Food 2* We stopped by for breakfast. Ordered 2 scrambled eggs with side of potatoes and pancakes (these were a secret recipe of the restaurant). The eggs had no flavor and tasted like they were made out of powdered eggs. Potatoes were ok. Pancakes were average.

Jaclyn S.

Yelp
This is a very local spot. Must order the fried chicken biscuit and bacon gravy also really enjoyed the pulled pork biscuit. The biscuit had the perfect buttery salty taste. Fast service, chill vibe. Must try, opened in 2002 a downtown staple. Zeel (may have spelled this wrong) was our server. Great experience and recommendations from our server!

Christopher H.

Yelp
Food was ok but lacked seasoning. My wife didn't enjoy her southwestern omelet. And the potatoes were undercooked

Skylar W.

Yelp
This was the perfect breakfast option for a weekday morning! I wanted savory, my friend wanted sweet. I got the two egg breakfast and she got the apple cinnamon French biscuit. We both enjoyed our respective dishes. I didn't love the potatoes in mine, they were a bit soggy and weren't hot. The bacon was great, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the biscuit was warm. I also tried some of the apples on my friend's meal and they were so yummy! The service was pretty quick and we had a very friendly server. I was a little thrown off that my "side of bacon" was rung up as two $2 slices of bacon - when you put it that way, it's really expensive bacon hahaha. Overall, would recommend.

Chloe F.

Yelp
This place gets busy, so get there early! I loved the mimosa flights and the tofu scramble (I got tempeh on the side, too - so good)! The seating isn't very ideal with a bunch of cramped tables, but overall a great stop!

Hema G.

Yelp
We ordered mild curry tofu(which was not mild at all, they added lot of curry powder) and chicken tenders (which were the thinnest slices I've ever seen). Sides we ordered were roasted carrots (which was the best of all), brussel sprouts, red chile cauliflower (pretty basic) and sweet potatoes (pretty basic as well). Overall wouldn't recommend. Service was good and ambience was ok

Lindsay B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our breakfast at Early Girl Eatery! I am obsessed with outdoor street dining and this spot was perfect. Located in a little alleyway, the outdoor seating reminded us a lot of Italy. Nothing was really jumping out at me on the menu so I went with the classic breakfast. I did find it a little odd that we had to pay extra for a breakfast meat to be added like sausage or bacon. The menu was very veggie forward, which is fine but I like my meats. The biscuits and homemade jelly were delicious. They serve lunch items all day as well and next time I'll take my waiter's offer to bring me a cheeseburger for breakfast!

Stacey P.

Yelp
I love Early Girl - it is a must stop dining every time I visit Asheville. This was the first time I've dined at this location. My friend and I came mid-morning and the restaurant was quite busy. We were seated close to the bar. The ambiance was typical Early Bird and it wasn't unusual to wait for a table on the weekend. I noticed the staff wasn't as friendly as other locations. The hostess barely said two words and the bartender who was also our server acted like we were going to bite. They were very uncertain of us and was very curt when talking with us. Eventually they warmed up but it took about as much time as defrosting dinner in the winter. The food was excellent, as always. I never not leave full. It is so tasty!

Bob V.

Yelp
Our meal this morning was excellent. I had the old standby here, the Southwestern Omelet, just as delicious as ever. My wife had the Banana Pudding Biscuit French, a fantastic creation, new to me, that you absolutely should try. The Early Girl Blend from Jags Head Coffee was exceptional. One suggestion: The Yam Scram continues to be one of the most mouthwatering items on the menu - either cook it differently to allow meatless substitutions, or create a new vegetarian version. This has annoyed me for years. They removed the bakery since my last visit; this allows for more seating, which I'm sure the tourists waiting in line on weekends will appreciate. IDK, I kinda miss the bakery being there, but I'm a little sentimental about such things. Service was meh - we received the classic "I'll be disinterested and borderline surly from the moment you darken my door, until it's time for the check, when I'll give you a pseudo-warm grinning goodbye" treatment. One star off here. Service matters.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Not sure how to rate this. The food was good. Service was ok. However, we ordered the sweet potatos with bok choy FOR the bok choy and it came with none. We should have said something during the meal but they were busy. Afterwards I double checked with the server that it was served incorrectly and she agreed & made some excuses. I asked to relay to the kitchen our disappointment and her reply was, 'Sure, if they care.' I'm not sure I'd return after that interaction.

Ray C.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The service was exceptional and the ambiance nice. Breakfast and lunch food is available all day. I had a basic egg, potato and biscuit breakfast and it was one of the best I have had. This is a very busy downtown business. The restrooms are shared with other businesses in the building and we're not well maintained. Early Girl should insist the landlord do a better job. They have a full bar menu and mimosas seem to be their specialty. Other than the restroom, I highly recommend Early Girl.

Courtney M.

Yelp
We were welcomed in by the owner and quickly sat. Service was fast and everyone was very friendly with great recommendations. Constant coffee refills. In and out within an hour at 9am on a Saturday. Perfect option for a fast casual.

Jamie S.

Yelp
Quite literally the best salad I've ever had...no joke. Their raspberry vinaigrette you can actually taste the raspberry in it unlike 99% of the other vinaigrette out there. The bar an apple salad is the best. The chicken is amazing, pro tip: get the hot honey sauce on the side so you can dip the chicken in! Service was amazing, I really felt like a wonderful hole in the wall find supporting local business!

Allie W.

Yelp
I was in town for a wedding and needed a quick GF breakfast. This place was so good! Loved that the porky bowl had GF gravy. Lots of GF options across the menu.

Teri K.

Yelp
So glad I listen to the locals. After stopping for some delicious coffee at Chaunie's coffee truck, I asked the barista where she would recommend I have brunch, since this was my first visit to Asheville. Without hesitation, she said, Early girl eatery, and was excited to tell me that they do flights of mimosas. I enjoyed a super delicious brunch, and everything was so perfect and homemade. I tried an apple cider mimosa, which was not too sweet. For breakfast, I ordered the vegan scramble with lots of veggies and tofu, added avocado, side of tomato gravy and subbed in a homemade biscuit. They serve the most delicious jam on the table. The biscuit was like a cloud! I wish I would've taken an order to go. When I also love about this place is the commitment to their employees which you can read about on their website. They really care about their team and the community. What a wonderful business to support.

Yelp
My Daughters treated me to an AWESOME sausage, egg and cheese biscuit today while we were having our Christmas 2024 Celebration. Haylea had the steak and cheese burger with fries, Brittany had The Yam Scram and I had a custom Sausage,Egg and Cheese Biscuit. This Biscuit was so big and fluffy I ate it with a fork...So Good!! Food was very hot when it was brought to the table and flavors were GREAT! The young guy that was our server was GREAT he gave us plenty of time to decide what we were eating and answered all of our questions! I know if I get a chance to come eat here in the future I have to cheat a little and get something sweet!!! Looking forward to next visit soon and I know it will be hard to decide what to eat!!

Mara D.

Yelp
Visiting Asheville-I decided to visit EGE for carry out. I was greeted by the host and was given a menu to place my order. I pointed out the two egg breakfast (scrambled eggs with cheese). I asked what does it come with (didn't have my glasses) - I was told home fries and biscuit. I also ordered an ice coffee with flavored creamer. I received my order - only to find out it was only the eggs :-( I was looking forward to try the meal. Anywho, the eggs were pretty good (cheddar was its natural color) and the coffee was ok.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
I really wanted to like early girls eatery but my breakfast was just sub par. Really great concepts of dishes, but execution was so poor. I ordered the spinach and potato cakes breakfast and it was a mushy mess accompanied by the most runny under cooked eggs. My husbands scrambled eggs tasted like they were cooked at a previous hour prior to serving. The server was super sweet, and we didn't have a wait, but I don't think I would give this place another try due to quality.

Danielle S.

Yelp
This was a solid brunch spot in a walkable part of downtown Asheville. We went on a day when our waiter was training another waiter, and it was nice to see them working together to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a deceivingly large restaurant - we were seated in the room in the back. They played a fun variety of music, and the menu had plenty of options. We went with the sweet potato scramble and the apple cinnamon biscuit french toast, and I would say the latter was our favorite. Not huge portions, but plenty of food, and it was ready quickly. An easy stop to make if you're looking for breakfast food!

Holly W.

Yelp
This was our second visit in a couple years. We were seated quickly, greeted quickly and placed order. They have a menu with lots of options served all day. We had the Charleston Chicken biscuit and the pancakes. Our food came out really fast and was hot and delicious.

Meri A.

Yelp
No reservations but worth the wait. Actually didn't have to wait long. The hot honey chicken sandwich had quite a kick and a nice thick piece of chicken. The blue windows in the back room gave such a cheery feel.

Emily A.

Yelp
Visited 3/25/24. Stopped in to grab a late lunch upon arriving in Asheville with my mom. We ended up splitting the chicken strips with two sides and picked the Brussels sprouts and fries. We did have a slightly harder time knowing which sides to pick from since we had been informed that a lot of the sides were new. Both the Brussels sprouts and fries were pretty solid. The chicken strips were solid as well. Overall, the place gave us a good lunch-nothing crazy noteworthy about it, but the flavors were solid and I would love to come back for breakfast, as they looked to have a really great breakfast menu. The place itself was really cute and charming as well.

Rosemary S.

Yelp
Really funky place! Good vibes. The waiter guided us towards an excellent meal. Way too much food but really enjoyable. It's easy to see why this restaurant has great reviews

Natalia H.

Yelp
Went on a Friday morning around 10:30am. It was starting to get busy but we got sat right away. Our waiter was very quick to come up to us and got us our drinks very quickly. We decided to share a salty plate and a sweet plate which was amazing because they were both big plates. So more than enough for us to have. Both plates were amazing and they came out in less than 10 minutes. It was a crowded Friday but seamless service. A lot of bachelorettes groups there that day.

Keela D.

Yelp
Plain and simple scrambled eggs, hand cut home fries and a biscuit. I didn't like the home fries. They just weren't flavorful. There was some homemade berry jam that was really good that I used on the biscuit. The eggs were light and fluffy. I'll return to try other items.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Great experience! Easy Girl Eatery is a quaint restaurant within walking distance on anywhere downtown. It was busy on a Sunday morning, as you may expect. But, we were seated quickly. The menu was diverse, with food sourced from local farms. The portion sizes were just right - a good value for the price.

Chris T.

Yelp
We took a day trip from Black Mountain to Asheville and wanted somewhere close to downtown with excellent ratings, so we came here. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich and my wife (who eats gluten-free) was excited to try a bite since all their fried chicken breading is gluten-free. I really like the spice with the honey mixed together. However, I'm a big sauce guy, and this sandwich could've been excellent with a little more sauce. The bread, which was really soft and delicious, was pretty thick, soaking up what sauce there was. We ordered ranch and I think with a full cup, it would've been perfect, especially with the goat cheese, which was a great addition. However, they were out of ranch except for a small cup which we shared as a table. Overall, a really good meal and I would come here again.

Deedrah B.

Yelp
Delicious Sunday brunch! I came around 10am and there was 1 seat left at the small bar in the back (sits maybe 4 or 5 people) so I grabbed that and didn't have to wait. They have a robust morning beverage menu (classic bloody mary and mimosas as well as some tempting craft offerings). I was feeling adventurous and tried the apple cider mimosa and it was delicious. Along with traditional breakfast offerings (eggs your way, omelets, pancakes) they had some specialty dishes. The patron to my right ordered the porky breakfast bowl, and when I saw that come out, I knew I had to get it as well. I ordered mine with eggs over easy. It was a generous portion and the meat was so tender and juicy. Once I dug in and the yolk spilled out over everything, I was in brunch heaven!

Rick V.

Yelp
3 problems today. Food and Service. My Brussels sprouts seemed to be left over from last night. Was not fresh at all. My coffee was burned. I waited a long time to order and I watched people wait a long to be seated and receive their check. On the positive side was management was aware of the service problem and explained that they can be seated but their order would take awhile. My guess was the kitchen was having a bad day and they were probably understaffed being Christmas Eave today. The waitresses were trying their best. Finally even the cash register had problems today. They had to go to the bar to pay with my card. Normally I am a big tipper but could not today. If the flounder wasn't so good I'd probably not return.

Amber T.

Yelp
I'm sad to give 3 stars. We were very excited on a Sunday morning to enjoy brunch, mimosas and Bloody Mary's. However, all three members of our party were disappointed in the food. Vegan diner ordered the veggie breakfast bowl. Not anticipating a bowl full of raw spinach, for a breakfast bowl she assumed it was cooked. The tempeh was good, but the bowl was very underwhelming. Carnivore diner ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich. All he could taste was hot pickle juice. The whole plate was swimming in pickle juice. The chicken breast was fine, good goat cheese, but flavor profile was way off. The side of fries were cold and quite old. He asked for another serving of fries to replace them and they were provided with a smile and apologies. I ordered the southwestern omelet, and a side of vegetarian gravy. My gravy was the best thing on the table. The home fries were little potato wedges, and were pretty good. The biscuit was also good. Luckily the eggs seemed like high quality eggs, because they seemed like they were steamed or microwaved. Very little flavor and no seasoning. I've never had such a bland omelet before. Mimosas and bloody Mary's were fine, if quite basic. It's a busy place, and service wasn't outstanding, but it was friendly and accommodating. Overall, the food was not worth the wait and the cost.

Karissa Knowles Photography B.

Yelp
Service was amazing Food was to die for especially the biscuits and jelly The eggs potato were amazing

Wendy C.

Yelp
Went to the one on 8th Wall. Nothing exciting except the vodka creamsicle mimosa. The food was subpar. A $10 chicken sandwich with no sides, sides are $5 each. The pulled pork breakfast bowl was a lump of pork over some scrambled eggs, not appealing at all. The servers were nice but not quick at all, the place was dead for a Saturday at 6pm. Decor is bland and old.

Rafael V.

Yelp
My wife and I came here on our first full day in Asheville for breakfast. We were seated immediately. Our food came soon after we ordered it. My wife ordered the Bow To the King breakfast (Southern fried chicken tenders with buttermilk biscuits) and I ordered the 12-hour slow roasted porky breakfast bowl. Both breakfast items were delicious. The only reason I am giving a four star review is because of the service. Our server brought us the bill before we were done with our food, and we felt rushed out. We were there early in the morning and the restaurant was not even 1/3 full.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
The location of this cute cafe is great for anyone visiting Asheville. The pulchritudinous exterior matches well with the attentive and efficient staff. The food was well-presented and tasted better than the mundane cafe.

Wesley F.

Yelp
I would love to give this place five stars, but I don't think the quality of the food is what it should be. The vibe is great, we love so many things about this restaurant. Our server was fantastic, super friendly, and very attentive. I had the porky bowl, my wife had scrambled eggs with a side of potatoes and a pancake. Her favorite part was the "Imladris Farm Handcrafted Jam,"which she used instead of syrup on her pancake. My porky bowl was tasty, but I wouldn't say it was amazing. I have a pretty high bar for breakfasts and breakfast places. I read another review that said this restaurant was purchased about six years ago by some different folks, and the food quality has changed. So I would say this is good, definitely not bad, but also not five star level in terms of food quality. This downtown area of Asheville is super cute, it reminds us of Diagon Alley from Harry Potter a little. The Early Girl eatery has a location in Charlotte, and we may give that a try and compare food quality. I think Yelp should offer the option to reset reviews when a restaurant is purchased by new owners or under new management. It may be that high reviews from five years ago are not representative of the food quality and experience today.

Allison D.

Yelp
2.5 stars We didn't enjoy this like so many other reviewers. We went for Sunday breakfast and it was not crowded yet as we arrived around 9. First impression we got was sticky feeling floors walking to be seated which would have quickly been forgotten had there not been other issues. We received our coffee and water quickly but the food took over 30 minutes. But first while waiting for our food there was a bug crawling on the wall - which again willing to overlook but when grabbing a napkin to kill there were ants on the silverware and napkin. When the food came it was fine - nothing special. The side potatoes had flavor but were not warm.

Kimberly F.

Yelp
I honestly didn't know what to expect, but it was pure perfection! I enjoyed every bite! And my biscuit NEVER crumbled which is a huge compliment to the makers of it! Also, my husband isn't a big sweets guy but he thoroughly enjoyed his meal (bow to the King). We were originally going to split our meals with each other; however, after our first bites we thew that idea out the window. The inside is pretty cosy so it makes for a cute brunch date spot! And the service was amazing! We were seated right away without a reservation and were check in on frequently. 10/10 would recommend and go again!

Katie G.

Yelp
Had a good time here for lunch. We enjoyed several different dishes. The staff was super nice and friendly, although it was a bit slow in there. The food was good, I had the mushroom sandwich and it was just okay for me. The fries were good, but a little underwhelming. Other meals that were ordered were a salad that was very good and the veggie breakfast which was very fresh. Overall, we had a good time and if you get the right meal it was great.

Tresea L.

Yelp
Service, food was home grown and very good we would go back , looks like a really good breakfast spot

Dan B.

Yelp
Solid meal -local fresh ingredients is their "hook".... And they tasted fresh. We had scrambled egg and veggie bowl (black beans rice, salad salsa, avocado) and potato.and spinach cake with tomato "gravy", eggs and biscuit Side of corn bread Biscuit was delicious! And probably the highlight of the meal. The spinach cake and veggie bowl both needed seasoning. I think the owner strategy is there's salt, pepper, hot sauce, ketchup and other condiments available for you to dress up your own meal. I prefer to see the chef use their creative skills to highlight the flavors in the dish they are making. So that was a bit of a letdown. Not much flavor in the food. Cornbread was very good, but too sweet for me. There was kind of a surety glaze on the cornbread "roll" Good meal

Beenita G.

Yelp
We were a group of 7 Brittany our server was awesome. Huge portions and vegetarian and gluten free options available. I would recommend this place to anyone who visits Ashville.

Jenny R.

Yelp
So glad we chose this place for breakfast! We went relatively early, at 8:30 on a weekday, and had no wait. All of the employees were really friendly and suggested the best things on the menu. I had the Yam Scram which was so tasty and the homemade biscuit with a locally made jam called Berry Best was also delicious. I regret not buying some of that jam to take home! The restaurant had the easy, slow breakfast vibe, but with much more interesting flavors.

Sonal G.

Yelp
On a recommendation from a friend, my husband and I visited Early Girl while visiting the area. Love the concept of all day brunch foods, and I got the spinach and mashed potato cakes which sounded interesting. They were very flavorful, and came with a fresh biscuit and eggs. Love the downtown Asheville area that this is in, nice indoor and outdoor dining space.

Eddy H.

Yelp
This was my first trip to Asheville and my first time eating at the Early Girl Eatery. I found the place based upon yelp reviews as well as other online recommendations. They offer indoor as well as patio dining with umbrellas for a little shade. I was dining alone, so I decided to sit at the counter in the bar area. Constance, my server and the beverage mixologist, provided very good service. She was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the dining experience. The menu item that brought me here was the 12-hour slow-roasted porky breakfast bowl. It looked great in the pictures, and it tasted even better. The food was truly amazing. The combination of the tender pulled pork, along with the scrambled eggs, breakfast, potatoes, and creamy bacon gravy, was a perfect pairing. In addition, there was a generous amount of pulled pork to allow for some pulled pork in literally every bite. Based upon Constance's service, combined with the quality and taste of the food, I would definitely recommend the restaurant and consider returning anytime I find myself in Asheville. Cheers.

Yelp
I haven't been to Asheville in over a decade. I remember coming to this spot after watching a show called $40 day with Rachel Ray. I remember this place being wonderful and thank goodness I remembered the name so I could look it up again. I was so pleased it has lasted! The food was delicious and it came out piping hot and FAST!! We were on the way to Highlands so we didn't have a ton of time to spare. We were in and out quickly and thoroughly enjoyed our food and the conversation with the staff. I had the chicken tenders which were by far the best I've ever had. Perfectly crisp but super tender and juicy! You could tell they were hand cut and fresh, not frozen. The fries were darker like I like them. This is a must try. The menu is so full of yummy items, it was hard to choose!!

Yelp
This place was excellent! I'm so glad we made it here. The wait was about a half hour on a weekend morning but there were plenty of shops around to keep us busy until our time got closer. The indoor decor is sparse and typical for a breakfast-only joint. We had great service but they kept busy busy!! For the food...can't say more than just delicious! The banana bread appetizer was so soft and filling. Just was so good and brought back good memories of having my grandmother's when I was a kid. My friend had Bow to the King which was an excellent take on chicken and waffles. I had the Yam Scram which was full of protein and very flavorful. Overall all of the food felt top-notch with a lot of care put into it. Sometimes places like this can start to lose luster when things become monotonous and drag on. But here, you can tell whoever is in the kitchen is doing a great job at making sure everything is consistent and very flavorful! I would return in a heartbeat next time I'm in Asheville.

Yelp
The food is amazing! I ordered a hot chicken honey with feta cheese, Dill pickles with a side a French fries. The chicken portion is huge! I love it but I will say that the feta cheese was a bit too much for my liking and the water taste like tap water or chlorine water. Overall the food is delicious and would go here again the service here is amazing, the waitress was very nice and attentive. The surrounding area feels cozy and very friendly.
