Google
The cutest little coffee shop attached to the Claremont. The service was impeccable. Attentive, kind, friendly, and warm. The drinks were delicious. Plenty of little snacks for hungry mouths. Games for playing. My wife would get a soy cappuccino in a ceramic mug every morning. I'd get a hot tea with honey, and a chai with almond milk later. Prices were reasonable compared to how much shops nowadays. Excellent shop! Highly recommended!!

A relaxed cafe off the Coach Entrance at The Claremont. Reasonable prices and good coffee.

Originally, I tried to go to the super famous bakery down the street, but it was incredibly crowded so I came here. I ordered the chocolate au pain croissant, and it was absolutely delicious! So filling and so tasty.

Service is extremely friendly here, I’ve never had a bad interaction with the staff. The coffee served is Equator coffee which is not too bitter but not too bland; just the way I like it. The pastries are massive and so good. I definitely would recommending allowing yourself this treat. The decor here is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and they have a wonderful window that allows you to look outside and on a clear day, you can see San Francisco. There are chairs inside but there are lawn chairs set up outside that you are welcome to sit on. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because a latte was $7 which to me is overpriced. And yes, I know it’s overpriced because it’s the Claremont but I think $7 for a coffee is a bit outrageous. Other than that, I would definitely come back again. In terms of parking, I was able to park in the parking lot and there was plenty of parking here. Instagram: @florazambakari

The coffee and muffin were delicious, but the line to order was waaaaay too slow. Not sure if it's an issue with the technology or the people. Both the person who took the order and the woman delivering the coffee were very polite. It's a sweet place to have a bite and coffee, with a nice view.

Google
View is nice, chocolat croissant amazing ($6), our sandwiches were definitely not worth a 5 star and we were coming in for a desert posted on Instagram that they only did last week so pretty disappointing :(

Google
To say I expected a more refined experience would be an understatement. Cold breakfast sandwich that took forever and they didn’t seem to know how to make a mimosa. A group of us were enjoying the spa and they didn’t have appropriate cups to go. They literally poured champagne into a regular flute and then into a paper to go coffee cup. It is a lovely space but I won’t be going out of my way to return.

Google
Three stars for service but five for food. The baked goods are amazing. They have huge ovens right on premises and appear to bake nearly everything themselves. Croissants and muffins are really over the top great. And the place smells terrific in the morning. Coffee service, however, is really, really slow. In the 3 days we spent at the hotel there were consistently only two people on staff and the lines for coffee were long. Be prepared. Maybe order a huge muffin first and munch on it while you wait ... ?

Yelp
Mixed opinions. Food here ranges from delicious to poor. My vegetarian panini was redonkulous. Well sized, super rich. Portobello mushrooms, artichoke hearts, tons of pesto and cheese. It was the best. The worst was the breakfast burrito. I'm selfish, I'm from San Diego but this one was inedible bacon? Where? Cilantro sauce? Where? It was just a ton of cooked yesterday eggs and tortilla. Do not get. Service was also so horrible. Everyone ordered sequentially and they messed up every order. Coffee missing, item for here instead of Togo, etc. It's becoming a theme with this hotel. Everything is hit or miss.

Yelp
It's a shame the fare/menu wasn't more enticing because this spot is cute. From what I can tell, they are a proper all day cafe, even serving wine and beer. Nestled in the basement of the Claremont Hotel, they say at the entrance of the Carriage House, it has old school carriage house vibes. With sturdy wood farm tables and furniture, and walls adorned with oil paintings of bucolic surroundings and a window with those beautiful SF city views; it's got cozy vibes. My cappuccino was $6+. Woof. While the breakfast pastries looked decent most of the breakfast items were premade and needed to be warmed up, which always irks me with eggs and such. On the menu they have smoothies listed, but sadly I don't think that's an option anymore as the man at the cashier was surprised when I ordered one. Overall, I feel like a great spot for an overpriced coffee and a place to enjoy some leisure time in a unique setting, or work on the computer with feelings of almost being away from the hubbub. While there are food options, they seem limited, and with similar sentiments I have with other Claremont Hotel establishments, I'd assume a little over priced for what you get.

Yelp
This is a cozy European-style cafe which is such a great addition to the hotel. They have a variety of breakfast items such as pastries, bagels, small plates like fruit and eggs, etc. They sell coffee and teas as well along with little snacks. For a good time, they sell wine and champagne! This is a great option for those wanting to grab a cup of coffee and maybe a little snack to get energized for the morning. I do recommend their everything bagel from Boichik bagel and an espresso; you can't go wrong.

Yelp
Food should be better, coffee should be better. Vibe / location couldn't be better! It's a shame. For such a beautiful venue, the food and coffee is so mediocre and the main guy who serves in the mornings has such a thinly veiled dislike for all the customers. I've come enough days in a row to experience it myself and see it with other customers. If you're annoyed to work here just work somewhere else!

Yelp
East Bay Provisions is convenient by location to the pool, to tennis. Nothing else about it is convenient, especially the turnaround time on orders. I've had several 20 min waits for them to warm up a premade sando. Multiply that by a line of guests ordering food and coffees and you're in for a serious wait. The food is okay. In a pinch, EBP is a pain.

Yelp
A nice cafe with a bay view window inside a fancy hotel. They have nice pastries. I enjoyed my smoke salmon sandwich

Yelp
Surprised that this place only has 3.5 star. We ordered a meat quiche, smoked salmon sandwich and a chocolate croissant. Everything is freshly made in the morning and flawless. The view from the cafe is also amazing. Every big window opens up to a view of the nature. Too bad that they close so early in the afternoon. It is a perfect place for lunch and to sit around for the entire afternoon to read.

Yelp
When a spot across the street quoted us a 45 minute wait for lunch, my friend Mariko and I went in search of faster food and wound up at East Bay Provisions. Throughout our entire tennis game we'd been subjected to tempting aromas from nearby eateries so we were hungry upon arrival. We were glad to see a delicious array of sandwiches available in the case and even happier to hear that we didn't have to wait to get them. I had the ham, egg and cheese sandwich and Mariko had the gravlax salmon sandwich. We also ordered tea and coffee. There was almost no one else in the place so we had a big table to ourselves and were able to relax and eat in peace. As mamas to young kids, this is not something we take for granted (nor get very often!). The staff was kind and accommodating. The sandwiches weren't exactly hot but they were tasty and I'd return for another.

Yelp
This little cafe's food is delightful, particularly if you're a guest at the Claremont hotel. The food is delicious, prepared and baked fresh daily, and the atmosphere feels like a farm country bakery. My favorite food items were the meat quiche (heavenly!), the salmon breakfast sandwich, chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll pastry, and ginger scone. They were all freshly baked, the perfect amount of sweet, and all flaky and doughy. So why 3 stars? I stayed at the Claremont for two extended weekends in a row and ate at Provisions at least 6 times during the course of those two weekends. The service here is pretty bad, the prices are steep, and the customer service is lacking. If you don't consistently persist regarding the status of your order, particularly around hot beverages, they'll completely lose sight of your order and you may never receive your beverage. We were offered complimentary pastries one time because it was such a mess. Another time, I ordered online, but when I went to pick up my order they let me know the espresso machine wasn't working and the treats we ordered weren't available. They were unable to refund me for the items they didn't have and asked that I just pick out new items to get "around" the same amount I'd already paid for. Uuuum what? Is that a thing? If you can't support online orders then don't offer them. The staff is very nice but I found the operations and actually getting my order to be somewhat complex and stressful, particularly for the price. We easily spent $60/visit here. I would have loved to enjoy the afternoon offerings, wine, and possibly other things but the hours on the sign and those advertised in the hotel didn't correspond to the actual hours of Provisions so we could never get this piece figured out and managed to miss it every time we tried. Oh well.

Yelp
A lovely new addition to the Claremont Club & Spa, East Bay Provisions has a killer menu of delicious eats like pastries, sandwiches, salads, as well as a hearty selection of bottled wine and artisanal goodies perfect for treating yourself or gifting, like truffled honey, and beautiful house-made merengues! Decorated in a kind of casual rustic French theme, dining in affords a gorgeous view of the Bay- but they also offer grab and go options. Just following the restaurant on Instagram will make you drool over the possibilities and keep you excited for your next visit! The staff is friendly and welcoming to diners, whether a hotel guest or not. The ham & cheese on a pretzel croissant is certainly something worth dreaming about! I can't wait to see what other delicious items they come up with.

Yelp
There are places where a review calls for the nuanced consideration of a wide array of factors. And then there are places where one issue so predominates that it's enough to point it out. Unfortunately East Bay Provisions is such a place. That issue is price. Here are some prices you can expect to pay: Cappuccino - $7 Cookie - $5 Almond croissant - $7 A cup of earl grey tea - $6 I anticipate that by 2030 I'll be able to buy a Boring Company replicator for not much more than a single cup of tea at East Bay Provisions and then make tea, earl grey, hot, to my heart's content. Listen, I get that good stuff costs more. But East Bay Provisions is mediocre food at peak season Aspen pricing. That almond croissant? Not exactly Arsicault (which is cheaper too, by the way). Don't even get me started on a $7 cappuccino. And it isn't like there aren't other options around. Fournier makes a terrific baguette 75 feet away. The Claremont has set up East Bay Provisions with rustic communal tables and the sort of ambiance that makes you think you're in a farm-to-table Marin evocation of Italy circa Call Me By Your Name. But make no mistake, this is a cynical Fairmont cash grab aimed squarely at people who are tacking the check onto their expensed hotel bill without even looking at it. Here's my advice to East Bay Provisions: cut every price by 40%. Then rebuild your credibility with the neighborhood.

Yelp
This sunday morning I came for coffee and croissant in this serene shop. I had a fantastic experience. Alice who we have known for years at the pool area cafe greeted and both gentlemen working were super nice. I had a great start to my morning.

Yelp
Piping hot Vegan breakfast burrito and grilled salmon n egg sandwich with tasty capers! Super good and tasty. Perfectly seasoned. Ask for hot sauce if needed. Better food and value than Limewood Restaurant - where our appetizers were barely warm.

Yelp
I went to a tasting they put on before they opened and was quite impressed. . Obviously their Baker is quite talented. Many of the items were things you would not see elsewhere. But when I went to the actual cafe after it opened, I was quite disappointed. You really feel like you're in a hotel, especially when you wind up paying $7.50 for a cappuccino. The variety of baked goods when I was there was far less impressive than at the tasting. So all-in-all, I am unlikely to return.

Yelp
What a delightful experience this cafe has to offer! Amazing views and cozy decor, not to mention the ham and cheese sandwich on a pretzel croissant (toasted preferred). The baklava croissant is a must-try! Baru, Jonathan, and Alice are so warm and welcoming, and their unique staff uniforms compliment the decor just perfectly. I'll be here quite often!

Yelp
Wildly OVERPRICED in a cute small spot but the 3 outdoor tables are next to the parking lot so not pleasant

Yelp
Today is new year's day, so everything is closed. This created a great excuse to check out the Claremont, which i hadn't looked inside in a decade and hadn't seen since they changed owners. Here's the caveat with my rating: is the food absolutely incredible? No. Is it solid? Yes. But the ambiance is excellent and they are catering to folks willing to throw down cash just to be there. Given that, is a $7 latte way overpriced? Yes. But I also had a $12 salmon breakfast sandwich, which was delicious and still cheaper than the $16 sandwiches at Starr Grocery. I think they take liberties with their coffee prices to keep the sandwich costs down. Currently we are in omicron variant COVID times, so they are takeout only, but there is a lovely patio with limited seating and heat lamps. I'm excited to try it when we can sit inside, as it's very lovely in there. I think this would be a nice place to take your fancier friends, or a good place to stopover after a hike, just prep your wallet because as most hotel restaurants, there is a premium baked in to the convenience of supplying their guests with on-site breakfast.

Yelp
Love this brand new breakfast spot in the beautiful Claremont hotel. Great quiche! Equator coffee! Super friendly staff.

Yelp
This place has few choices and awful food. My kids ordered egg and cheese sandwiches. They were served with barely cooked, very runny eggs. The bread was basic and toasted till almost black.

Yelp
Gorgeous space, lovely views, terrific interior decor, and the food is the real deal! We got this croissant hot from the oven and marveled at its flakiness and volume. The Kouign Amann had a chocolate caramel filling I'm still thinking about 12 hours later. We bought a light crispy sourdough boule for lunchtime sandwiches. Delish! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this little breakfast/lunch spot. It's deliciously Parisian in its style, with beautiful fiddle leaf fig trees and armoires with trinkets and wine. The cafe is tucked away near the tennis courts at the Claremont. I ordered a small glass of milk for my infant and one pastry and I had to do a double take when he said it $9.75. The mental math of that was hard to do! How could it be so expensive?? But I will say, they had this polenta-berry muffin top pastry that was TO DIE for and the restaurant should send me the recipe to justify the cost :)
