Always a fun night out, the piano bar was the vibe we were looking for for our Christmas party. We booked the beer cellar private room, and it was perfect to come and go from between sets and to escape the crowd to chat. Will definitely return in the future.

My friends and I have been to this venue in several occasions in both small and large groups. Held a social group event of 60 people on Sat 9th Aug25. Food and service in the bistro was great with great size servings of the food. Everyone in my group was happy and we then moved into the Piano Bar area. A very unique experience with the duelling pianos and the singalongs with the pianists. You have to experience it to fully understand. Totally recommend this venue!

Booked a table so we could see our friend Dr Trevor Jones playing Duelling Pianos. Had 3 small plates to share and an apple crumble. All were delicious. Had very caring service from the 2 ladies working behind the bar. A fun night.

I had my 50th birthday in the private cocktail lounge and the team at the East Brunswick made sure everything ran smooth, drinks kept flowing and my party was well feed. Multiple people since the night have commented how amazing the venue and food was. I would host another event here with pleasure. Thank you East Brunswick team for making my event one to remember!

Fantastic, fun night had at Duelling pianos with a big bunch of friends. Service was incredible. Staff super friendly and helpful, especially the lovely girl who was managing the tables in the bistro who made sure are larger than expected group got seats at the table in front of the footy after a couple of cancellations.

Amazing place and atmosphere! I loved the Parma, the jazz and we were so well taken care of by Juan! Could not recommend more!

Fantastic atmosphere and experience and sing along. Our entree was served late however the Manager shouted us 2 free cocktails greater than the value of the entree. She was awesome 🤙.

Yelp
Wow, the customer service in this place was amazing, and I only came here for a single beer. No wonder my friends have recommended this place (though I have yet to have the opportunity to come here for a meal with them). When I first came to the door the bouncer was one of the freindliest and politest I have ever met (and I've never been a big fan of them, though the ones in Melbourne don't seem all that bad). It wasn't just that but they are also incredibly helpful, and if a room has been booked out they were politely direct you to where you can sit, showing manners all the while. It is a shame that this pub is a little out of my way because I would come here more often. At least my friends recommend the place.

Yelp
It was a pretty pricey meal for a slapdash attempt of inner city Melbourne fancy food . Terrible service made it taste even worse. Their only appeal is the location.

Yelp
Super high potential location and building loses it's appeal due to: tacky decor (chandeliers AND down lights? Franco Cozzo represent), visibly unhappy manager/s and an inaccessible 'top shelf' that sees staff stand on the prep counter to get bottles (was this place designed by someone who has never run a bar before?!?). All in all it's a bogan-ish outer suburbs pub trying to make it in the inner city. C'mon, we're in Brunswick, anywhere with cover bands is going to sink like a stone!! Managers should look at what the plethora of successful bars in the inner North are doing and follow suit. It's a proven model for mi££ion$. Life expectancy (unless drastic changes are made) 18-24 months.

Yelp
Yep gotta agree with previous reviews . Seating is really poor . To think that punters want to sit on high chairs with benches too high again so you have to shovel food in at chest height is crazy . It's just not sure what it wants to be . There is no designated area just to have s pint or 2 , no designated dining area and upstairs is like a display home . The food was delicious so that is encouraging.

Yelp
Damn good selection of wines and spirits, as well as a handful of good tap beers (got a 4 pines session which was delicious not-too-hoppy, not-too-fruity and very tasty). The staff is very friendly, we prefer being at the bar and they like conversation and joking around which is always nice. They have some pub standards on the food menu but also some surprises. We were adventurous and ordered the polenta fries with Parmesan, which were good (big serving) but just a bit plane for my taste. After some drinks then got into serious business and got the house burger (good!) and the Trailer trash which was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I had have outside the US. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitively be back for it. And for Woodford

Yelp
Shows some promise but a long way from its heyday before it closed. I'll head back in 12 months once the owner has worked out what he is trying to do and has gotten rid of the uncomfortable chairs.

Yelp
Only a few stars here based on the fact that I was very scant in my visit and didn't explore much of what is on offer. The re-vamp is somewhat nice, but leaves a lot of hard surfaces with that open exposed look. At first I was perplexed as to what this place resembled. 'I've seen it somewhere before I know it', but couldn't place it. Then it hit: This place is so quintessentially chapel street (the south yarra end) that it were to be transplanted there, it would not only become a hallmark of the rather detestable street, but it would become a caricature of itself for being too chapel street. Either that or one of those snooty Sydney pubs with a huge line of people waiting to get inside, and an even huger pretentious attitude on the door and in the venue itself. It sort of works in Melbourne, but i get the feeling the area is more a place where people want a friendly go to. Not a place that will be filled with muzza's and party boys once the warmer weather hits. You know the type- so many of a certain type of person that you can open your own douchebag sunglasses store. Credit for good cocktails and having Amara blood orange Amaro. There's probably a bunch of other cool stuff here too that I haven't yet discovered. Definitely a venue for the quiet times as I can imagine it would be very loud when packed.

Yelp
We've all been waiting a long time for the East Brunswick to re-open and what a disappointment it is. The staff are friendly but for some strange reason they seem nervous. The new owner has changed the positioning of the downstairs bar. The bar itself is nice but overly lit. There doesn't seem to be enough tables down stairs this is probably because they have a few random high tables with high stools that don't go with the other tables. There's a few booths on the side and they look comfortable but again don't match with any of the other furniture. There is a window bench/table but the high stools aren't high enough and the bench only reaches your shoulders, so it's impossible to eat off (I'm 5'8"). So we moved to the upstairs area, having a separate area is a great idea, but when we got up there we were even more confused then when we were down stairs. The bar is a type of white n grey marble, and the walls are white. There are a number of large tacky chandeliers and they are extremely bright, I felt like I was walking into a hospital waiting room. There is no art on the stark white walls, just a large silver framed mirror that enhances the hideous chandeliers. This is suppose to be a lounge area, although there are several of the same high tables and chairs up here that were also down stairs. The lounges a narrow and uncomfortable looking. While we were waiting for our meals, there were three groups that sat in the 'lounge area' they all looked unsettled and only stayed for one drink. A lot of people walked in, looked around and then left. Then I discovered why the staff were nervous, the owner entered the room and he was nervous and unsure of what he was doing, this of course reflex everything that was happening in the building. The food is good, tasty, fresh and arrived in good time, but very expensive for a pub. They have a large selection of red meat dishes but they are from $35 and up. The chicken parma is enormous, it covers the whole plate, and comes with good fries but a poor excuse for a salad - hint, halve the size of the parma and give us an awesome salad - I don't want to feel like I'm in an eating comp. The place was so uncomfortable that we left immediately after we had finished eating just like all the other people who only stayed for one drink. As we left I took notice of the other patrons and everyone looked dazed and confused. I have no idea what the new owner is trying to do here. It needs a whole new make over for me and my friends to return. I have spoken to other people and they didn't even get as far as us, they left after walking in and seeing what a mess the place is. Lastly, what happened to the awesome beer garden?? Spring is here and we have lost our most favourite beer garden - extremely disappointing. We won't be back until it changes.

Yelp
Started with really bad service. A very quiet evening and no one at the bar waiting to be served but the staff were making cocktails and fussing about with other stuff. I was seen but no one acknowledged me or said "hi, I'll be with you in a minute". So I wait 5 mins at the empty bar, finally a waiter comes, and he serves the guy that just rocked up to the bar! Dude, how about asking who was first! I ordered some hand cut fries. Really not impressed. Almost inedible as the flavour was quite a green potato taste. Will not be frequenting this one.
