Google
I really enjoyed being around this street; I saw several varieties of burgers here so I wanted to give a try eating a sloppy Joe burger the sloppy lamb, which was good. The chicken rings burger was good but very spicy. The place is small, but it was great giving it a try.

Google
Cool little spot on 9th. Very laid-back vibe, smaller, and can be loud depending on how busy it is. The tables are all really close together, so it feels like you’re part of the same party as the people sitting next to you. The menu was simple, which I liked. We got the burger and the spicy chicken sandwich, and they were both alright. The chicken sandwich kind of tasted like some sort of cleaner, and the burger had some interesting flavors. It wasn’t horrible though, just not the best. What we did LOVE, however, were the queso fries. I’d come back just for these. They are honestly mouth-watering. Their lentil salad was also very tasty. Maybe some of their other dishes are better. I wouldn’t be opposed to going back. Service was also pretty mid.

My friend and I set out to discover a new spot to unwind and indulge, and we chose ELTH (East Liberty Tap House), nestled in the charming 9th & 9th district of Salt Lake City. The evening was delightful, and we secured a seat on the inviting patio. Service was impeccable, and the food, though priced slightly higher than many local spots, reflected the rising costs of rent, lease, and produce—even here in Salt Lake. The ambiance exuded a quintessential Los Angeles vibe, from the stylish, energetic clientele to the chic location and patio setting. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I would gladly return for another relaxing visit.

Google
The apps are so fun! We got the pickle plate and hummus plate, so good. The hummus is obviously homemade. Love seeing a really good veggie burger on the menu! Super cute spot.

Google
Visited for the first time and I really enjoyed myself. The food was delicious. I had the sloppy lamb and the bread was super soft and the lamb was perfectly seasoned. The lettuce wrapped was surprising to the eye as wasn’t expecting the presentation and all the components, the flavors were ridiculously good. The server, Sophie, was great. All recommendations she gave were in point. That Amaretto sour was insane. I will be back just for that. Overall great experience. I will be back.

Stopped in with the kids. Had a great time loved the outdoor seating. Tried one of the new drinks. Kids loved the beers they had. Food was delicious.

First thing I noticed was that all of the tables I tried were wobbly, which is annoying. The server was great but the food was not. It's absolute hipster fare and not in a good way. They don't have ranch dressing for their salads, which just seems like a needless flex, the fries are burnt and over-seasoned, and my chicken sandwich had a criminally small amount of chicken on it, couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 oz of chicken. Won't be going back.

Google
I'm visiting Salt Lake City and really enjoyed this place. The food was great, limited menu but quality is great. Service top notch was polite and engaging with a casual friendly vibe. And have to say the background music was smooth and good vibe. There options for Ciders is why my friend brought me here. SO GOOD!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I can't get enough of East Liberty Tap House. It's guaranteed good times and good vibes. Elevated pub food is what I would call their cuisine. It's simple but exceptional. But there's something for everyone! (Vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free'ers can dine happy.) I think everyone would agree that the patio is the most desired seats in the house, especially in the spring/summer. It's such a laid back, fun vibe. Be warned; because it's coveted, it gets filled fast. The indoor seating is great as well but a bit more cramped. If you haven't been to East Liberty Tap House, you should definitely give it a try. Afterwards, take a stroll through 9th & 9th and see what else there is to offer.

Yelp
Fun lunch at East Liberty Tap House during the 9th and 9th Street Festival!! Service was great and we even got to sit out on the patio! Such a fun vibe!! I got a gluten-free beer and my husband got a nonalcoholic beer. Both were very refreshing!! I got the Lentil Salad and my husband got me Shroom Burger with fries!! Everything was great! Definitely want to come back for brunch sometime!

Yelp
Loved my visit to East Liberty Tap House! Sitting out on their patio for an early lunch was an absolute dream in the sunshine. I liked my Tap House Burger, but you MUST try the Roasted Garlic Hummus. It's packed with flavor and so smooth and the pita that comes with it is unlike any other pita I've ever had. Whatever they're putting on top of their pita, I need it! Service was friendly and quick. Prices were reasonable. I love dining on 9th and 9th and East Libery Tap House is one of the reasons why. Try this place out!

Yelp
Amazing fries, if we came back we would probably get fries and drinks. Everything else was good as well. We also were able to be outside because they have heaters which was nice. The service was great as well!

Yelp
Great place to bring a group of people after a Saturday bike ride. Kidding... manager was militant about only groups of six and couldn't count because we had two separate tables of 5 and made us move to opposite sides of the patio because we knew each other and were talking between tables. And this was after we already finished eating and were finishing our beer. And it was half full and gave us some BS about some hypothetical reason in the distant future about people walking by and remembering they saw our two groups of 5 who just happened to know each other and would demand to have a patio party. The server was great and embarrassed by the manager should tell you all you need to know.

Yelp
It's officially patio season and this is one of my favorite patios to hang out on! This place is always busy, we went on a Tuesday night and it was completely full - definitely would recommend making a reservation through Yelp before going. I had the pleasure of biking here, which was SO lovely! There's a place to park and lock up your bike right by the restaurant. We started with the queso dip which was delicious and flavorful, and we got a couple drinks as well. The cocktail I had was one of their specials - with gin and lemon and it was good but I don't know if I would order it again. I opted for one of the canned ciders on the menu for my second drink. The fries here are DELICIOUS. Perfectly crispy, full of flavor, perfect layer of salt on them. I got the veggie burger and it was really delicious was well. There are quite a few vegetarian options on the menu, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted! The service was fast, and the queso came out SO quick, almost immediately after placing our order. It's a beautiful space to hang out for a while, and we had a wonderful time here. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We came here really late after the infamous 999 bike ride... unfortunately we don't have bikes like our friends, so we spent most of the night long boarding in liberty park waiting for the biker gang to return. While waiting, we strolled over to East Liberty Tap House and tried the queso fries. I thought they were pretty good, others said they were too crispy... either way, it was a solid LATE night snack. :) Great service, and great outdoor seating.

Yelp
I came across this cute place on a Sunday and was immediately interested based on their outdoor seating and vibe. The service was average but the staff was nice. The burger was not as good as I imagine but still good. My husband had the shredded chicken sandwich and I tried it and tried to convince him for us to switch food lol. What will bring me back? The blood orange Heff!!!

Dave B.

Yelp
Worst service I have ever gotten in 35 years of eating out. Ambience was decent food was decent.
google avatar

Deanne B.

Yelp
A wonderful place to grab a drink. Great quality and very adorable. The outdoor patio is a plus
google avatar

Lilly K.

Yelp
We came because we heard rave reviews about the queso tip but to be honest it was pretty bland. The tortillas were actually the highlight, they tasted freshly made and not store bought at all. As far as large plates, we got the spicy chicken sandwich which really wasn't spicy at all and the tap house burger. Its a really big patty but for $16 id expect a bit more flavor. Overall felt like a blander palate. I will say the outside ambience, plants and view of 9th & 9th was very nice but i don't think i'd be craving to go back.
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
Not a good experience. Ordered a couple of burgers. The tap house burger. Burger was ok meaning the meat. I more bun than burger. Not very tasty. Fries were soggy and not tasty at all. One of the servers had terrible BO which added to the ambience. Wouldn't eat here again.
google avatar

Yelp
A consistent place to get a drink and good food, and a great place for date night (first date or old married couples!). I really like the cheeseburger- pub style with French fries is a perfect combination. We've never had to wait very long for a table or a place at the bar. I've been coming here for years - even before moving here in 2015 - and it's always been a great experience. In the summer, the patio is a great place to hang out, however I don't think it's currently dog friendly.
google avatar

Margie R.

Yelp
The ambience is so cool and casual here. I love it! There's an extensive beer list and the food was all yummy. I like coming here every time I visit SLC.
google avatar

Chloe C.

Yelp
East Liberty is such a great spot on 9th and 9th! They have the cutest build out and always have good service. Great spot for food or drinks! I got the cauliflower tacos and loved them.

Shane F.

Yelp
Server just really hated her job. No smile. No recommend. No follow up. Just bare minimum tossed the food on table then had the audacity to immediately bring a check with an 30 percent gratuity option. Food just ok. Won't be back.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
We went to East Liberty as it is included on a number of best burger in Utah lists. Unfortunately, from our perspective, the burger was just okay nothing great. The biggest let down was the burger patty itself. The patty did not have much flavor and seemed like a mix of meat and filler. The bun was nice and fresh, but front and center was an oversized patty that tasted more like filler than a delicious burger. The fries were excellent and the best part of the meal. For a tap house, the draft menu was quite limited. The patio was nice with good service. Overall, it's an okay place but far from making it on our top burger list.

Yelp
Great location (which means parking is a bit difficult). This place is small and compact, very loud and busy. The patio looks very pleasant. I had the Strega Nona and Ol' Smokey cocktails, as well as the queso dip and chicken and trout tacos. The cocktails were alright, I would not order the Ol' Smokey again, it was a bit bitter. The queso was pretty good, it's made with white cheese and comes with thick crunchy chips. The chicken tacos are moist and have a good flavor, but I'd say the trout tacos tasted better, however the fish was dry. Overall this wasn't a home run, but I'd try it again, the breakfast menu looks pretty tempting.

Julie B.

Yelp
I was excited to try this restaurant when I found it on Yelp. I ordered through the website, very clearly ordering the Bacon Burger ($17) and chips and queso ($9). When I picked up the order, I had to go back inside for the ketchup and peppercorn aioli as it was not in the bag or containers. When I got back to my Airbnb, I opened the queso to find the container not even HALF full. My burger is the completely WRONG burger--not what I ordered at all. They were not busy--only two parties were in there. I tried to call the number on the website to let them know, but it is informational only, and you cannot speak to someone. I am incredibly disappointed that I spent money for food that wasn't worth the price and wasn't what I ordered. I would not recommend this establishment.

Parker H.

Yelp
The staff was rude and passive aggressive. Food is only half the restaurant experience, and with this place you're rolling a dice against your favor when it comes to staff.
google avatar

Renee B.

Yelp
When this place first opened, I came once and didn't come back for a few years - I can't remember why, maybe the menu didn't have anything I liked or the prices seemed too high? I came back with friends the other day and was so impressed that I've been back twice in the last two weeks! I've tried the veggie burger and fries and the cauliflower fritter tacos - and both are delicious - but the best thing is the blood orange hefe. I'm not sure what other restaurants in town carry this one (from Firestone brewing in California), but it's my new favorite beer!

Katrina M.

Yelp
Not impressed. Second time here. Food is marginal. I got sloppy lamb. Not great. Small. Bread could be better Fries would be good if they were not cold.

Anna M.

Yelp
I've known about this place for a while and finally decided to try it based on rave reviews from friends. It's technically a bar, so you can't make reservations, and so I was expecting to wait a while to be seated on a Saturday night. However, there was no wait at all, and my party was seated right away on their awesome patio. The patio is located in a great spot and it's not too noisy outside from the traffic. Their veggie burger is good, but the real star is the fries. If you go here, make sure you get their hand cut fries! The server there also recommended the Somthin' Fruity cocktail - very tasty and not overly sweet!
google avatar

Channing M.

Yelp
Came in here for a celebration dinner and the food did not disappoint. We had the pork lettuce cups. It seemed a bit small for what the waitress said but it was really delicious. We also had the spicy pulled chicken sandwich and tap.houae burger. The fries and sandwiches were both cool, fries were cold, so not sure if they were waiting at the window for a while. May come back to give it a second shot especially with their gluten free options.

Hannah M.

Yelp
Only a few other tables so our order was made fast. The trout tacos were really good- would order again. We sat outside in the sun and it was beautiful and pleasant.
google avatar

Easton L.

Yelp
I went here with a friend and got the burger and it was really great. But, I went again with my girlfriend yesterday and we sat and waited for about 20 minutes without a server even coming to say hello. I'm really disappointed because the food is good and the atmosphere is great, but I personally can't handle poor service.

Steve B.

Yelp
We came here for a beer and dinner after a University of Utah basketball game. They have a good selection of beers both on tap and bottles. The food and service were very good and I loved the seasoning on their house made french fries. I would definitely recommend the Tap House, for a cold beer, good food with an easy laid back neighborhood vibe. Cheers!
google avatar

KinCaid F.

Yelp
Came here for mimosas one morning and was pleasantly surprised with their food options. I ordered the seasonal spicy pulled chicken Sando while my buddy ordered the veggie burger, both were quite good. The fries here are about 3 points above average and the mimosas were around 2. My favorite part about this place was the atmosphere, they have a medium size patio in the front of the bar with fireplaces and the servers are very relaxed and level headed.

Travis S.

Yelp
Cool vibe, especially the front patio! Vibe of the place is good but food was not great. Just weird flavors and overcooked is all. Go for a beer not the food.
google avatar

Chirelle P.

Yelp
Cute little place! Sat inside. Service was good. There are a lot of drink options. I tried a pear cider. It was different, but cool to try something new that I haven't seen other places. Not great vegetarian options. I did get a vegetarian burger because that seemed to be one of my only options. It was different, definitely homemade. Would try it again. Fries were a little burned. Tacos are really good! They have a fire pit outside that would be fun to sit near with friends for a few drinks.
google avatar

Rayce V.

Yelp
I really enjoy the neighborhood that this restaurant is located in, and their front patio was the main draw for me. Visited this place for a burger and beer after a long bike ride and it was everything I hoped for! I would've liked some more draft options, but that's really a personal preference. I found the Moab West Coast IPA good enough and the burger was awesome, especially for the price. This is a great tap house to visit for a relaxing evening outside. Service was great as well!
google avatar

Devin O.

Yelp
Service was initially slow but in their defense, it was very busy. However, when the server arrived, she was quite attentive for the remainder of our time there. The food is fantastic. The owner and his staff clearly care about their product and the food. Delicious and carefully put together with clever combinations of flavor. This is why they get 5 stars. I love their food! I tried the lamb belly and every last ingredient was fresh, intentional, and makes me want to go back for more.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
Service was low to no contact, waiter avoided all of his tables the entire time we were there. Never asked if we wanted to order food, I had to tell him and then when I asked where our dessert was he forgot about it. Food was okay but just not worth the wait or price. The cauliflower tacos were okay, loved the sauce they provided for the chips. Their cocktails delicious and well made.
google avatar

Josh G.

Yelp
Good burgers and good cocktails! I'd recommend the S.O.S. for drinks. The fries are pretty good as well and the service is friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
What a cute place. I had a family emergency and I hadn't eaten all day. Very emotional and as I was taking my sister back to her car, I knew I finally needed to eat considering it was almost 9pm. Fries are always a comfort food. I also asked for a hot toddy because I felt like I needed warmth. I got a burger and my sister got the molten chocolate cake. It was good. I wish I was in a better mind set but it's a place I'd love to come back and enjoy when life emergencies aren't clouding the experience. I'm glad it was a relaxing space in which I could finally relax my shoulders and get some much needed good quality food. Oh and the hot toddy was delicious. Surprisingly, a lot of places can't make a good toddy. Sorry no pics on this review. I just wasn't in a headspace to think about it.
google avatar

Jack T.

Yelp
Generally speaking I like the vibe and food. I paid 16 dollars for the shredded chicken tacos... it was about 4 bites. I was so disappointed. I walked across the street and had to order another meal. Don't get me wrong the place is great. But this was robery. Get the burger instead.
google avatar

Margaux B.

Yelp
The tacos were amazing! We also had the brownie which was delicious. Our server was so friendly and the food came quick!
google avatar

Dylan C.

Yelp
Friendly service, ultra trendy vibe and interesting menu items make this place a worthwhile dinner spot. Uncomfortable seating, however, and honestly just not a lot of room at the small tables, and this place doesn't score high on the comfort scale. Wear a beanie if you want to fit in with the clientele.
google avatar

Aaron I.

Yelp
Sister is visiting from out of town. Let's go somewhere cool! Server spills a glass of wine all over my sister's just purchased clothes on her body and in her shopping bag. Then takes forever to get napkins or a rag for us to clean it up. I have to go to the entrance to ask for some help. Don't even plan on getting to talk to management about this "accident" for which the only recompense is to replace the glass of wine that was spilled by the server. I did not appreciate that we were made to feel like we were lucky they were even going to do that. Appetizers were good, drinks were good, however the horrible service killed our experience.

Tyler T.

Yelp
walked and everything was good. water was brought to our table and then we proceeded to wait another 15ish minutes waiting for someone to come take our order. we just wanted a beer, but after trying to wave someone down and get someone's attention, I decided they didn't need our money. very disappointed in this place and won't be returning.
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
Food - 3/5, not bad but nothing special. Drinks & atmosphere - 5/5 I love their patio, a great place to chill and have a beer in the sun which is what initially lured me in. For a tap house, they don't have that much on tap, but have a pretty decent bottle selection and do some good craft cocktails. I've tried a few things on their menu, and while I didn't dislike anything I wasn't really blown anyway by anything either. I did quite enjoy the lamb belly however. It was crispy yet juicy and fatty still like Korean pork belly (samgyupsal). It also came out with some pita wraps, pickles, ajvar (red pepper paste) and tzatziki so it was a kind of a different take on a make-your-own-gyro. The Sloppy Lamb Sandwich was a bit disappointing tho; not much more than a sloppy joe for about $13. I do enjoy hanging out on the patio to meet some friends for a beer and have heard good things about the queso, I will have to try that next time.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
All of the tacos here are soooo good! Every time we go, we always get the queso. Since there's already chips, I substitute my chips with my tacos for fries. Their fries are AMAZING. Great selection of beers also!!

Gina D.

Yelp
Omgggg I'm so pissed and will NEVER GO BACK. It isn't the best experience to go to a place with a work group and get an automatic 22% gratuity without being told. Thanks a ton you a hole server for not telling us there is a gratuity and tipping your crap service 50% in total. Hope you enjoy the money and feel good about being shady. She wouldn't even look at us when we left. I hate liberty tap house and my company will never have work gathering here. Soooooo mad about it. Screw you and your service
google avatar

Chay M.

Yelp
I live one block away from this place and probably eat there 2-3 times a month. I love their food. The lentil salad dressing is 10/10, the sloppy lamb is 10/10, elk chili is pretty solid maybe 7/10, pork lettuce wraps 8/10, burgers are great, fries are great etc etc. Their cocktails are fantastic, they would be better with more booze but Utah is governed by religious kooks so that's not the restaurants fault. The servers are always friendly and consistent with their service. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
google avatar

Britta F.

Yelp
Super cute place!! Our waiter was so friendly!! The drinks were good and food was decent. A little pricey so I expected it to be orgasmic but it was just ok. We had the mushroom sloppy Joe and the bacon burger.
google avatar

Kat S.

Yelp
There were quite a few tables open on a Saturday morning around 11:30. I had the Bagel Sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese but made especially delicious with the cilantro lime aioli! The breakfast potatoes were perfectly crunchy - I wish the portion was larger! The major disappointment was the coffee. Our first cups were lukewarm and my friend's second cup was the same temp!
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
Best burger I've ever had. Fries were 10/10 too. The drink was not my favorite but it might be for some people. Thursday at 6 PM there was no wait. Food and drinks came faster than most restaurants. Service was good although our waitress seemed like she hated her life. I guess that's the thing nowadays though. All together fan fookin tastic
google avatar

Nina P.

Yelp
We got the two burgers for take out for dinner the other night. I can't speak to the service while dining in, but the staff was friendly when picking up our order. The burger and fries were great and traveled well until we got home.
google avatar

Chelsea W.

Yelp
We enjoyed our time here and would return. Their menu has great options but I was unimpressed with their tacos and fries. Their burger was great and chips/queso was so good too. Service was professional and friendly and we enjoyed the drinks we ordered. This place is in a great location and I am glad we sat on the patio. Also really like that they just leave a thing of water for you to refill your cups with on your own.
