This place is half coffee shop half cafe and everything is good. PANCAKES: light fluffy but they will fill you up served with Lingonberry compote, syrup and whipped butter. It was so good the gentleman next to me only ate like 2 bites and I was half compelled to cut that half off and and finish the rest. HOME FRIES: there moist and soft inside but somehow slightly crispy, would like a little more crispness. ROSEMARY LATTE: great to have iced or hot. AVOCADO TOAST: how can it be beat? BURGERS: I’m at a loss for words. BROOKLYN FRY UP: this place is just too good, only critique was the home fries weren’t crispy with this one.

Just stumbled upon this adorable laptop friendly coffee spot in Carroll Park, and guess what? Picture this: a cozy coffee nook where the chatter fades into a gentle hum, leaving space for your thoughts to flourish. There’s no shortage of seating, with a welcoming communal table at its heart. It's like finding a quiet oasis in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. Perfect for getting stuff done without the noise overload of your typical café scene.

I love their decor and wanted to try their coffee for a while. Interior and exterior are both very cute. They seem to have the cutest brunch area as well. I only ordered a oatmilk cappuccino here so can’t speak for anything else. The cappuccino was okay - I didn’t like the after taste. My friends in the area did not love their coffee as well. The small oat cappuccino was $5.17. Their bakery smelled really good but I didn’t try it.

Breakfast here was nice. Service a bit slow and not very attentive. Coffee was good! Avocado toast was plentiful and bacon was particularly well made! I think the avocado mash could do with less spices and seeds so that they don’t overpower the plate. Cute cozy spot for a quick bite on a weekend.

Set at the Eatery at East One coffee roasters and loved it. Their avocado toast with salmon and poached egg was very good. Also their burger was really incredibly juicy. I didn’t like the maple sage latte so next time I’ll avoid it. Service was super nice.

Google
We ordered the malted pancakes, house cured salmon, asparagus frittata, and avocado toast, ranked in order of favorites. Will definitely order the malted pancakes when we come back for its perfect fluffiness and delicious pairing with the orange mascarpone on top. The citrus cured salmon was also unique, and particularly liked it with a dash of salt added to bring out all the flavors. The blueberry compote was also a standout for its flavor and not overly sweetness, and that says a lot from someone who does not normally like compote. Recommend their delicious coffee, and if you’re looking to try something different, get the espresso tonic for an interesting mix of flavors.

We were actually at the Eatery, which is just around the corner from the Roaster coffee shop. Excellent Cortado… especially the beautiful heart on top! If you want the typical American breakfast, order the brooklyn fry up. If you want something a bit different, order the caesar toast.

Google
The flavour of the beans is what sets this place apart from any in the area. Definitely the best coffee for 30/45 minutes walk. The 8.4 cortado was excellent, the aftertaste was a little acidic but it was welcome after having so many bitter aftertastes from coffees in the area. The milk work was expert as well.

Yelp
Great coffee! It's not comparable to the likes of Starbucks or other incorporated chain-shops.

Yelp
I truly wish I could write a review of the food, but we never got the chance to taste it. We came on a warm sunny Sunday after a cold rainy Saturday. It seemed pretty crowded, but we got a table inside without any delay, 4 adults and a toddler. The hostess brought over a high chair for the little one when we sat down. So far so good. Then we waited. It was clear they were severely understaffed. During this lost era, I discovered the clasp on the high chair was faulty. I went to grab another high chair next to where I was instructed to park the stroller. When I grabbed one, I was told that they would bring it over. Fair enough. However, 20 minutes later, with our child still in our laps, I was getting mad. Also, it would have been nice to have gotten some water by this time. We hailed another waitress for both a replacement high chair and some water. She came back with the high chair, which was great. Then we waited. Another ten minutes and we had to ask for water again from a different waitress. The same one who neglected to bring over the high chair initially. She brought water! then asked us if we'd like to order drinks. We said we wanted to order food. She suspiciously pressured us to get drinks again. We repeated we were ready to order our food. She then said it would be "a while" so we should just order drinks, ie. coffee. Personally, I prefer coffee at the end of my meal, not the beginning, so this was not going well. We asked, what "a while" meant and again she refused to give us an estimate until we pressed. 40 minutes, she said. That was it for me. We'd been there a half hour and no one had even given us water, and no one had said the kitchen was backed up until this point. I can appreciate a waitstaff being asked to handle more tables than they were expecting. I've been there. But this is not the way to treat your customers. I'm generously leaving 2 stars, because the food may actually be good and/or maybe the service is better when they are not overwhelmed.

Yelp
Enjoyed this local coffee shop. It was VERY busy, but was able to find a nice seat to enjoy my mocha & blueberry muffin. The mocha was good, but cold, and the muffin was delicious, BUT way too crumbly; I just couldn't enjoy eating it, as most of it was falling out of my hand! It's very family-oriented in that if you have a baby or toddler, you'll find plenty of parents to make friends with! There's a park across the street, so I'm assuming this is the go to spot for parents and their kids!

Yelp
Delicious spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! Servers/staff were all really friendly, and food and drinks were good. I've only ever gotten coffee here, but have always wanted to stop for breakfast, and I'm glad I did! Great spot for a late Sunday breakfast/brunch after a long week. Family friendly, and dog friendly outside, too.

Yelp
I came here per a friend's recommendation. The coffee shop is cute and there is a good amount of seating (not a lot of tables). I didn't realize that they also have essentially a dine in restaurant next door and that the food at the coffee shop is to go only. Nonetheless, I got the Avocado Smash and and Iced Latte with Oat Milk. The coffee flavor was good and the flavors of the avocado toast were delicious. It had unique toppings on it. My only complaint was I wish the bread was toasted. Overall, good experience :)

Yelp
The coffee was amazing. We had the Local Honey Latte, Maple-Sage Latte, Cortado and they were all great! They were not as sweet so if you want sweeter drinks, ask for more sweetness. The service was great as we knew what we wanted and they were pretty fast at getting the drinks out. They had a self service carafe of water for everyone and the place was pretty clean! All around it was a great experience and a great place for a coffee!

Yelp
Unpopular opinion here, but I thought the coffee was just OK. I had their cold brew and asked for just a smidge of half & half. Barista was great about that. X had an iced chai latte and it was very disappointing. There was barely any chai flavor at all - it felt like milk with a dash of cinnamon. The pumpkin loaf was actually quite good and I would 100% come back for just that loaf.

Yelp
Pulled a super quick shot. And if you want to be super technical, I asked for an Americano, got a Tall Black with way to much water.

Yelp
I had a few minutes to kill and my search for a nearby coffee shop led me to this lovely place. Popped in for an oat milk latte and a (vegan!) almond pay bar. Super friendly barista, great coffee, quick service, solid music, and cozy atmosphere. Can't wait to find my way back here again!

Yelp
I had the most delicious sandwiches ever here-- a Cesar toast with anchovy butter and poached egg. Lovely calm place to dine, and very nice staff.

Yelp
Been here a few times and it's a neighborhood favorite with seasonal lattes and good baked goods, cookies croissant. Latte at this time is apricot thyme latte, turmeric, local honey. I've seen maple as well.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in Brooklyn! Great vibes, great service, and great coffee and food. The restaurant is lovely!

Yelp
First time visit and the service and food is good. Reasonable price and not bad for brunch. Will return next time.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I wanted a coffee and saw this place on the corner while we were walking through Brooklyn. We ordered large lattes with almond milk. We also wanted to try their banana bread. So we got a slice. They also sell it by the loaf. They sell bottles of wine too. I picked one out for us for later. It's called Sauvage. Sparkling rose wine. It was ok but we wouldn't buy it again. The latte with almond milk was actually pretty good!! Roasty flavor. The banana bread was a little on the dry side but I did like the pecans in it. Everything is made fresh daily there the gentleman said. Cool. We would return here to have some more coffee next time in this area or Brooklyn.

Yelp
Super cute and calming in here. Too bad I don't live in the neighborhood. Came over to this side to get my phone screen fixed, but they wanted to charge essentially a third the price of a new phone, so I decided a cup of coffee was a cheaper fix. East One was so inviting I decided to take a seat, something I haven't felt impressed to do in a coffee shop since 2020. Chill music and all around good vibes in here. Plus there's a bar right next to the coffee counter which makes me feel so much better about not being certain of what I wanted more at 11 AM, a beer or cup of Joe. If ever in the area again, I'll be back.

Yelp
3.5 stars... Our food was alright. Service was extremely inattentive. There are a large selection of seats inside and a few tables outside to eat. We went on a Saturday for brunch. It was very busy and no one seemed to pay much attention that we were there. Food came out quickly, maybe too quickly, because my meal and drink were both lukewarm. We ordered the following two regular coffees, a Dona chai cardamom and rose latte, and a chai latte. We ate one order of the special which was chorizo with polenta and two fried eggs, two frittatas with brussel sprouts, caramelized onions, and diced potatoes, which came with a small side salad, one beet toast with apples and bean paste which also came with a side salad, and one of the malted pancakes with citrus mascarpone, and seasonal berries which appeared to be lingon berries. We were not asked if we wanted any more drinks, no refills of coffee, nor any water refills. We weren't asked if we were enjoying our food. Once the food was placed before us we were left alone without any other service. After a while of sitting there, we had to flag down a worker to ask for the bill. Food was alright but not anything special. This was our second time eating here. I don't think we will be back.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
$7 for an iced latte?! love the no prices posted anywhere too. Latte was very watered down and tasted like milk. Barista asked for my drink to get started while the cashier was ringing someone else. Cashier starts to confirm my order when my turn and says something completely different. When I corrected I noticed the barista changed what she was doing. I shouldn't have to repeat my order 3 times especially when it's not complicated. Being the only patron waiting for my drink, the barista SCREAMED my order. Just so bizarre when I'm not only standing right there but why volume 100 as people are sitting there in quiet. Just overall odd experience that left a lot to be desired.

Yelp
This place is run like a machine. I'm impressed by how quickly they crank out coffee.

Yelp
I've been to this place twice for brunch and I can see why it's popular even with the little issues I have had. The staff here is pleasant and they are very accommodating for people with allergies. In terms of drinks as well it is a coffee shop, the cappuccino/coffee is good and the hibiscus tea is just alright. The only things I've had have been the braised pork hash and a grilled chicken sandwich. The pork hash hand consisted of braised pork shoulder, poblano peppers, spring onion, salsa Rosa, and two sunny side up eggs. This was a good filling brunch with a good amount of tender pork though there wasn't enough heat for my liking but this was easily remedied with the cholula they have there. The grilled chicken sandwich had herb marinated chicken, daikon slaw, bread and butter pickles, spicy butter, and a choice of salad or fries (went with fries of course.) it was a big sandwich and the fries were good with my only issue being that it was slightly overcooked so a little bit of it was unfortunately a bit burnt. The flavors were good but that was a noticeable issue. Other people have enjoyed their Brooklyn Fry Up which is essentially their take on an English breakfast and their seasonal frittata which both looked good also. There's probably one or two too many issues for me too give it a 4 and I really wish I could give it a 3.5 but it's closer to a 4 than a 3.

Yelp
Coffee is great. Croissants are delicious. Service is friendly. Music is jammin. Wifi sucks. I have only good things to say about the coffee and croissants. Everything about East One was a home run until I sat down to get some work done. In fact, I would've preferred there to not be any wifi available at all because then I wouldn't be upset about the wifi not working. However, this also means I wouldn't have come in the first place because the reason I came in was to find a place to sit down and work because I'm traveling and working remotely (and I like coffee). If we ignore the whole wifi and WFH situation, then this place is great. I'd stop by to catch up with a friend or grab coffee on my way somewhere, but it also means that I'd visit much less frequently compared to a place where I can reliably knock out a few meetings.

Yelp
It is one of the best, if not the best coffeeshop in Carroll Gardens. The baristas may not be super fast but they make really good drinks. There is also places to sit down or even get some work done. They even have a cute restaurant in the back so you can literally have breakfast to dinner in there if you really need to get work done.

Rachel S.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and the cold brew is delicious!

Rob P.

Yelp
Food is good, service is friendly, atmosphere is nice, but in the ~five years since the restaurant opened they still haven't figured out how to bring coffee before the food. This morning it took 25 minutes for two lattes. The excuse, as always, is that the cafe side is running behind, as if this was not under their control. A four-top paying $100 for breakfast should skip the line of people paying $6 for a coffee. Every other restaurant combined with a cafe has solved this problem.

Yelp
"East One Coffee Roasters" is kind of like "Peter D." They are not misnomers, but their names don't really do them justice. Both of these things are so much more than their monikers would have you believe. They contain multitudes. East One looks and sounds like a coffee shop. And I'm sure it's a wonderful coffee shop...but I don't drink coffee, so I never went inside, and I didn't think twice about it. What I didn't realize for entirely too long is that there's a giant back room where they are making what is basically the best brunch in the neighborhood. It doesn't currently have the awful wait that you might experience at a few of the better-known brunch places around, and more importantly, the food is excellent across the board. There's something on the menu for everyone, but I'm a big fan of the burger, the fish sandwich, the duck confit hash, and the Brooklyn Fry Up (nearly a full English, and always hits the spot). The shrimp and grits is also decadent and stellar, and I highly recommend getting an order of pancakes for the table. Or just on the side, if you're a real fat boy like me. Even better news, they serve all this delicious food all day every day (but close before dinner).

I E.

Yelp
Mixed review. Service Came on Sunday @ 11am. Very busy and crowded. Pros- NONE Cons- Register person was not friendly. Didn't crack a smile or say "thank you". Only one barista station. Not enough baristas. Single and group orders were very delayed. Regular coffee was quick and given to me as I paid. Craft coffee took over 15 minutes. Setting Pros - Nice big coffee shop. Outdoor seating. Cons. Not enough individual tables and poorly laid out. There's bench seating that's very high (if you don't mind your feet dangling) with no cafe tables, so you have to hold your drink. Large communal table but not enough seats around it. It's also right up against the restrooms so people are always hovering over you and unpleasant smells. Food Pros - I got the Mocha ($5.75) and a pumpkin muffin ($4.75). Both were good. Cons- Overpriced, IMO. Menu is very limited. Some drinks only come in one size. Pastries are not nicely displayed - croissants just thrown in a plexi box low to the ground). I was charged for oat milk in my mocha (and wasn't heated fully) but my friend's regular coffee wasn't charged for oat milk. Not good for groups. Ok place, if you don't intend on staying very long.

Matthew W.

Yelp
Food is amazing but the service is absolutely terrible and kills the experience. Over priced in my opinion as well. Also, management is extremely rude to employees in front of customers. (This has been my experience just about every time I eat here).

Yelp
A sunny spot on a sunny Sunday in the spring to sip, speak, and study, East One is situated in south Brooklyn just s stone's throw from Smith. Salutations!

Laura G.

Yelp
I can't even begin to describe my obsession with this place. I've only tried their standard coffee shop side, and it's quickly become one of my favorite places, in general. It's your quintessential hipster coffee shop in Brooklyn, but it's so much more than that. It's a beautiful, cool-looking shop with a really comfortable environment seemingly engineered to make sure you stay. I haven't tried too many menu items since I'm a creature of habit and tend to only order Americanos, but their coffee is really good. I recently tried the lemon poppy seed muffin and now I'm gonna have to buy one each time I go. They pump out the drinks pretty fast even when they're busy and the staff are always kind. There's lots of seating, including outdoor seating and some seating with tables. They also have a very long bench that I'm particularly fond of. I'm pretty sure their outdoor picnic tables are for their dine-in side, but it's open to coffee shop patrons (I think only after their kitchen closes, but not sure). I could probably pass many hours there. If you tend to nest in coffee shops with a laptop like I do, this place is probably your speed. It's my favorite place to work. Bring a portable charger though or make sure your devices are charged beforehand -- they're a bit outlet deprived apart from the four in the floor beneath the big communal table and another eight by the entrance and product display. Not sure if I missed any, but those are the only ones I've seen. *Tip: if you sit at the head of the communal table that faces the back of the shop, the air conditioning might drip on you from time to time and your charging cords can't really reach the outlets from there, unless you have an extension cable, but they'll charge your phone if you need it! In conclusion, I'm in love. Bye.

Yelp
Coffee shop in the front opens up to a spacious eatery in the back. You must pass a skinny test to sit in a booth because it's pretty cramped. They take reservations for brunch on the weekends which is a big plus. Fresh squeezed OJ was refreshing and tasty. Menu is eclectic- they had items such as congee and Cubano sandwich. My duck leg hash was heavy and savory. My husband had the Danish brunch which was tasty and interesting but perhaps needed some shuffling of proportions - more yogurt, less butter, etc. Host who seated us was welcoming and nice. Server did the minimum and was okay.

Yelp
I like this place. Not sure what's up with so many scathingly negative reviews. Granted I've never had the food, but the cold brew is my favorite in the area. $4 is a little pricey for a relatively small cold brew (what's up with so much ice?) but I really think it's exceptional, and I like the spot itself, which is cool and trendy on the inside. I also have to point out that several reviews mention lack of Wi-Fi, and I was in earlier today and was given the Wi-Fi password, so that might be an old thing, but at least they have it now. One small complaint is the fact that they have "laptop-free" zones - yeah, I get that people sitting inside and working for hours may take up precious seating, thus potential customers, thus potential cash flow, but the whole thing comes across as a little snooty for my taste. With that said, I've never had a hard time finding a laptop-appropriate spot to send out a few emails while drinking my coffee. There are also a few reviews mentioning the staff and their alleged rudeness. To the credit of these Yelpers, I do find that the staff could be a little warmer/friendlier, although nobody has been outright unpleasant to me. Still, I always like to tip, even if I'm just getting a coffee, and the demeanor of the employees here does make me think twice. Might be worth a review by management: would it kill your employees to give simple niceties? All in all, will return - can't beat the cold brew. Definitely room for improvement, but the coffee is great.

Yelp
Cool urban coffee spot in the corner across from Carroll Park. A lot of outdoor seating. Love their coffee, could take or leave the food. Except their scones, their scones are really Good.

Yelp
Love the Americano and Latte at this place! Also, their banana bread tastes awesome, and stuff is great!

Yelp
Enjoyed our latte, coffee, chai, and cider in this cute shop. Several seating options and clean restrooms. I'd love to come here again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
I just moved across the street from this coffee shop/restaurant and I couldn't wait to try it out! Even though it's always poppin' during the day and for dinner, I went to dinner last week with a couple friends around 7:30 and we were the only people there. I think because it was a rainy day but either way we lucked out. I felt really bad because we definitely stayed past their closing time but the service was top notch and the waiter was very, very nice to us! The food was delicious, I got the broccoli salad and the garlic fries and I can't wait to order it again. I also can't wait to go back for breakfast! Highly recommend - and they have great outside setting that's very spread out and far away enough from people passing on the sidewalk that I felt comfortable having my mask off and hanging out.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this cool Brooklyn coffee shop has a really great sit down restaurant in the back! There are plenty of tables for large or small groups and a nice view of the kitchen. The friendly staff seated us right away and quickly poured us water and took our drink order. We ordered a cappuccino and a hot chai latte, both served elegantly and made very well. Our waiter allowed us some time to peruse the menu and ultimately we decided on ordering the avocado toast and scrambled egg dishes (both $13). The drinks came a few minutes before the food, but both came out quite quickly. Our waiter provided us with cracked pepper for both of our dishes. Both dishes were quite good, albeit I wish the scrambled egg dish came with a few more home fries (cut up potatoes). Overall, very good and extremely worth the visit. I plan on returning to try some of the other dishes.

Yelp
This is a great new spot that is so much more than just a coffee shop, with a large restaurant room in the back, in addition to the already large cafe area up front. You can get all of your coffee and pastries up front and loiter on your laptops like at a typical neighborhood coffee shop, but full table service is also offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the even sunnier, larger room that is not immediately obvious until you walk all the way to the back of the room. The cold brew is great, and so are some of the housemade pastries, especially the Lemon Raspberry Polenta Loaf and the Cardamom Coffee Bun. They have a bunch of other options too, like croissants, bars, cookies and muffins. You should really order some food too though, including an excellent Burger ($15) (+ $2 for egg and $3 for bacon), which comes with perfectly thin, crispy fries, and a great Fried Chicken & Pickles ($13) appetizer, which comes with juicy little dark meat nuggets seasoned well and not even needing the white BBQ sauce on the side. I'll definitely be back to try more of the extensive food menu and would make it my go-to coffee spot if I'm in the area.

Yelp
I had been waiting in line at Lucali and then went to the Chase bank one block down for cash, when I saw this place. I'm not sure if this place is super good or if I'm just hungry because I haven't eaten all day. It's def good though and hit the spot. Things to note: 1. Rainbow flag at the counter. 2. Oatmilk and almond milk available for $0.50 extra. 3. They have alcohol. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks. 4. I had an almond gluten free cookie with lemon zest. It was really good. Not too dry and the lemon zest was a great addition. 5. The almond croissant was flaky and soft. Really enjoyed that too. 6. Free WiFi. 7. They take Apple Pay. 8. The ambiance music is international. I heard some Japanese and Brazilian while there. Pretty unique.

Yelp
An imposing, impressive corner grey stone structure, East One brings the coffee fire to cozy Cobble Hill. Strollers out the door on Saturday, I almost headed back out, but the single origin beans and Slayer machine ultimately slayed me. Drank: Decaf flat white with almond milk in a nice green ceramic mug and saucer. Wanted 2%, they were out of it! The pastries are local from Colson Patisserie, our mayor's morning pit stop pastry shop. There's cooked food too and more for lunch and later. The space is generous for patrons and baristas alike. The coffee was amazing with a strong depth of flavor, different notes and expertly done, flat white is my coffee brew of choice these & they nailed it!

Yelp
Bottom line, the coffee is great! I came here as a pit stop with a group during work and I was impressed with the decor and the cashier was super friendly. I was under impressed with the egg sandwich with avocado, and between 4 of us the bill was about $50. One of the bathroom's toilet was backed up too. Thought it was rude when one of the guys making coffee made a face when my colleague asked for her drink not to be too hot. FWIW, I would certainly come back for coffee.

Yelp
This place is deceptively large. You walk in thinking it's just a typical coffee shop, but nope. Keep walking and there's a giant dining area in the back behind the kitchen! Had a wonderful iced latte with oat milk along with the duck leg hash. It was a TON of food, but I ate it all cuz I'm a fat ass. Two perfectly sunny side up eggs over some fingerlings, frisee, and of course some fatty fat chopped up duck. So good, especially with a dab of hot sauce! Service was great, and our waitress was just the best. Very kid friendly and the very well light back room can accommodate larger parties!

Yelp
The Eatery at East One mixes high end, beautifully plated dishes with a classy, lowkey interior for a laid-back but elevated experience. My two friends and I got a table for my birthday brunch on a Saturday around 10:30am and were seated right away. They have an excellent menu of breakfast and lunch options with low- to mid-range prices. I was extremely tempted by the mac and cheese and malted pancakes, but I decided to be a grown up and ordered the Danish Brunch. (Is that more grown up? We'll pretend.) My friends went with the Eggs Benedict, Duck Leg Hash, and lattes. If you're looking to impress your friends with a beautiful spread, this is the place to go. We were all ooh-ing and aah-ing when the Danish Brunch came out. It was as delicious as it looked, with tiny portion sizes that somehow were just right. I could survive on charcuterie and East One's did not disappoint. My friends also really enjoyed their plates and we were considering ditching the rest of our dining plans for the weekend to spend every meal at East One. Alas, other restaurants had to be tried, but I will definitely be making a return... probably for some mac or pancakes.

Yelp
EXPERIENCE 1. Sampled Cold Brew (Sonar Blend): - smooth, sour, citrusy, too harsh for me. 2. Sampled House Coffee(Guatemala Single Origin): - roasty, exotic, flowery, favorable to Sonar Blend. 3. Ordered Café Au Lait (almond milk) - toned down, pleasant, perfectly made. 4. Ordered Americano (Sonar Blend) - Similar in personality to cold brew, roasty all around flavor, mild sourness, delicate and pleasant. - (W. splash of almond milk) coffee personality overpowered, not recommended. 5. Ordered Pastry (frosted raspberry pound cake) - Too sweet, wife couldn't get past the second bite. SERVICE: (not exactly sure?) 1. GOOD BEGINNING: - Friendly cashier (tall hatted man) responded to my request and offered me samples of their cold and hot brew. 2. UNEXPECTED TURN: - When I asked the barista (red headed woman) for a second time about their single origin blend, she scolded at me on where to look for it on the shelf. This rude behavior came out of left field. - After placing my second order of coffee, the cashier said it was on the house. I tried to figure out why but he said "don't worry about it, it's on me." He didn't seem very happy about his generous deed and it left me confused. Again, out of left field. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. BE GENUINE: - I found some of the behaviors/personalities of the associates to be a bit shaky and uptight. Friendly at first but come a second time and not so much. The coffee had a more personality then some of the workers here!

Yelp
The former Casa Rosa, now a roastery as of a couple years, I've visited on several occasions. But just for beverages. On one occasion, my friend arrived first and had been drinking an iced coffee. Sitting at the bar, it took forever to order an iced tea for myself. Another visit had me working on my laptop. It seemed many people work from home or remotely nowadays as it was tight for space. Wifi was also a bit spotty. Upon that visit. I ordered a kombucha on draft which was actually good, for $5. Recently, I stopped in for a Matcha latte. Pretty good but I've had better. Overall, staff is okay--not super friendly--at least towards me (yes, I'm friendly) and service is lackluster. Meh.

Yelp
I have been going to this place for a long time. The coffee is really outstanding. Some of the best in the city in my opinion.

Yelp
We made reservations and ate at the eatary. I got the malt pancakes and my friend the eggs Benedict with salmon. I really liked my waffles with the berry compote and syrup, super fluffy but like way too much pancake for the amount of toppings. Also, it's pretty overpriced like a side of avocado was $5 and our waitress almost tricked my friend in the upsell. My friend got bacon, also $5, with his pancakes and it was only 2 pieces. It was good but pricey.

Yelp
Huge fan of the spot. Remember to make a reservation on a Saturday for brunch! Loving the duck hash and the latte!

Yelp
I've been a big fan of East One since they opened. I don't visit here for their coffee, but for beverages do very much enjoy the kombucha on tap! Their food, is worth the visit and service is always friendly and efficient. The open air kitchen (when we sat inside Pre-COVID) is fun to watch and guess if the order up is your food. Presentation is always minimalist but clean. From delicate roasting of buns to quality herbs you'll enjoy every bite. They now have a great, and plenty of room, outdoor seating area on Carroll street that epitomizes al fresco dining.

Yelp
We were in Carroll Gardens and wanted to get lunch but every place we passed by was packed, even for 2:30 pm. I saw East One had great reviews on Yelp and we decided to stop by, hoping there would be a table available. When you enter, the cafe is in the front and you have to walk towards the back for the eatery. The waitress we had was super nice and attentive. I ordered the East One Mariscada (that week's special) and my husband had the mahi mahi sandwich with a side of rosemary fries. Everything was delicious and filling. I also had two cups of coffee - just what I needed. My brother came by a little later and the waitress was super accommodating and let him sit at our table and use the table next to us. He had the duck hash and he said it was super good. They also have the best baby hair chairs! Super fancy. The space is simple but in an elegant way, with plenty of sunshine sneaking through their big windows. The next time we're in the area, we'll make sure to stop by again!

Yelp
When you think of Carroll Garden's in Brooklyn, for me, I think family neighborhood with a bunch of kids running around and not to many places to go for eats or bars to grab a drink, and cool coffee shops to work in. This is one part of Brooklyn that never cease to amaze me. As an native New Yorker, I'm ashamed to not have known the Carroll Gardens would be so amazing. When looking to explore or maybe hang in a cool neighborhood in Brooklyn to get some work done, East One Coffee Roasters is the place to do so. The coffee shop is never not busy. The coffee staff is amazing and attentive. The seating is plentiful if you get there early, but none the less a nice place to work remotely if you get a chance too. What's also cool about this place is if you've had a long day working remotely, what's better than knowing the coffee shop you're at also does happy hour!! BEERS AND OLD FASHIONS ALL AROUND!! YAY! Besides the Happy Hour, they also have a full service restaurant in the back so it makes grabbing lunch or on the weekends if you're getting some work done, you can also grab brunch. I haven't tried the brunch but it looks pretty good! East One Coffee Roasters is definitely a cozy spot to work remotely from. So come check them out, grab a cup of coffee, lunch if you're looking for some good eats, beer or old fashion during HH, and come back for brunch! I know I will because I do want to try their brunch!

Yelp
I'm here right now, July 4th, 12:45pm and I couldn't even eat because my food came with a plastic piece inside. From the picture you can see it. The server didn't even say "sorry", she just said: oh we can make another one! Really??? There are better places in Brooklyn to have brunch!
