East Point Library

I came today to get a library card. This is my first time at the library in so long. The lady at the front desk w/ a small gray Afro was so rude immediately during our first encounter. At first I brushed it off but then she continued to be abrasive. It was so bad I left & never intend on coming here ever again. The library is supposed to be a welcoming atmosphere. In this current time, everything is digital & it should always be a welcoming experience being that these same books can be purchased off Amazon or audible. Never experienced such HORRIBLE customer service! How are you that rude early in the morning?

The most inhospitable library I’ve ever been to in the metro area. They have large areas that sit empty but they will not let anyone occupy them. I’ve been twice and have been asked to move to a crowded space in the middle of the library that is dirty with crumbs all over the table and full of other patrons sitting almost shoulder to shoulder while they have multiple empty spaces blocked off. Not a good place to read, study, or visit.

Librarians are always helpful. I forgot a tote bag for my books and one went to the back to grab a bag for me. This is my default library for holds.

Management very rude and not helpful . The librarians or staff could care less to help you . They will question you and treat you like a child or just some incompetent adult . &&’ please check for your belongings because there lost and found is basically a garbage box . I left my flash drive (very important ) and they literally wrote my name on the wrong flash drive and gave me something incorrect . Like no empathy or sympathy . Just basically a idc or idgaf attitude I will never return to this branch again . Like there work ethic is very sloppy … &&’ it’s your own people who do this to eachother .

There is a lot of comfortable wearing for a you to find a book or newspaper and read in peace. This comfortable space is very organized and clean. I have also visited this facility several times to do early voting. Their hours are convenient and they are even open on Sunday.

Very modern. Very clean. Smaller library with a nice staff.

East Point Library is currently closed to the public. I'm here on Dec.14 for early voting. Happy this is an early voting polling place.

The newly renovated children area is beautiful. Storytime is every Wednesday at 10:30 am.

Olivia James is the sweetest, most patient, and helpful librarian I have come across. I was having some much trouble, but she was so kind to me. I wish there were more people in the world like her. Thank you so much. East Point Branch you have a gem in Olivia!

Excellent transaction, books were brought out to me and they even renewed my expired library card.

We visited this library because they were hosting an event by the Bio Bus from GA State. The event was fantastic, but since this review is about the library, I'll mostly describe it. This is a nice sized branch with a spacious children's section. They have tables as well as a secondary reading area for kids that would be great for toddlers. There are chairs for adults also. The security staff is very alert to keeping the noise level down which is nice for those looking for a quiet place to read. There is a train station across the street, and there are several food options (cupcakes, brunch, diner) also within walking distance

Very nice, friendly and helpful ladies Mrs Davis-Cooper and Mrs Gassaway. Mrs Gassaway can straight to me with out me asking. She made me feel at ease because I felt like a fish out of water. She didn't leave until I felt completely comfortable on wh I was doing. The she came back to check on me. We need more people like her. She really made my day. Thank you so much.

Seems OK enough, but did they install any kind of ventilation system when they built this place? Sweet Jesus.
