I had a beautiful meal this evening which was part of a spa package deal I booked online. |I had a lovely spa facial treatment. Unsure of the ladies name but she had blonde hair and she was so lovely and friendly. The facilities are great I loved the jacuzzi. |I had a lovely two course meal, the waiter Cody was so friendly. He couldn’t do enough for me! I had the plant based burger and decided to have dairy cheese instead of vegan cheese and it was delicious! He recommended the cauliflower buffalo wings but I did choose something else however I will be back to try them! He had such a lovely manner about him and you could tell he’s a brilliant people person. |I ordered a bottle of cranberry juice and I wanted to put a tip on for the gentleman. There was sadly no option. I would have liked to have left a tip as his service was outstanding. Thank you for a brilliant experience.

The room was newly renovated and extremely spacious. The only thing was the smell of paint was still strong - I imagine it wouldn’t be a problem in a couple months. Friendly service at the spa area. We had a mud treatment and we felt very comfortable. We also dined in the Pavilion restaurant on a set menu, and lunch at the bar the next day, both exceeded expectations. Really enjoyed it!

Came here for our honeymoon! After staying with them before the birth of our daughter we loved it so much we booked it for our honeymoon! Absolutely love the feel of this place, it’s luxurious but not pretentious! The staff are all incredibly welcoming and professional, the sort of hospitality that is rare these days! They obviously work very hard but still manage to offer a friendly upbeat manner. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need, my only criticism would be that the double beds are two singles joint together! They are connected quite well so it’s not as noticeable as it can be at some hotels but nonetheless would prefer just a double bed. ||||Also accommodating for a breastfeeding mother, (Not sure if this place is||Child friendly although you wouldn’t really want them at a spa day anyway!) ||||We had 3 spa treatments, the seaweed bath, rhassoul and hot stone massages which were all great too! ||||Food is delicious and despite being on a set menu as part of our spa package, it still had plenty of choice and was accommodating for dietary restrictions. Staff are attentive yet not pushy for the upsell either which was appreciated. All the facilities are well maintained, everything was working when we visited, and the gym is brand new ! Incredibly well stocked so never waited for any equipment.||||All in all, a great place to stay and we will definitely return!

I took my partner for a spa day and meal at East Sussex National in January. The spa was lovely and relaxing, we were able to have our treatments together in the same room which made our day together. We really liked the facilities and enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Our waiter Nicoletou was really lovely, attentive and so efficient. We had a really nice chat with her at the end of the evening - would recommend for a special day out

I read some of the negative reviews and feel they are completely unjustified. I stayed here for 1 night with my husband for his birthday. Included in the package was a 3 course meal, breakfast, use of the spa with 2 treatments. Firstly the staff were polite and helpful to us absolutely no problems with the staff from either the spa or hotel. Secondly, the food was delicious and fresh. My husband complains about most places we go to and he couldn't find fault, that alone is a compliment. We also liked the room, it was clean and spacious. Lastly, the spa and treatments were great. It was quite busy but we put it down to being the beginning of the year and people were using their Christmas presents. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning.

I stayed at the East Sussex golf hotel last weekend for a birthday celebration and throughly enjoyed the entire experience. The spa facilities were lovely and the facial and back massage treatment was amazing. The food at dinner was delicious and I would like to give a special mention to our waiter Cody who made our evening extra special with excellent service and good humour. As a coeliac I have to avoid gluten which can make it a challenge to eat out. However I was quickly made to feel at ease as soon as we arrived and Cody was really helpful with going through all the gluten free and vegetarian options for us. It was also helpful at breakfast to have all the labels for food containing gluten. I found all the staff to be very welcoming and professional and I would definitely rebook for another spa weekend.

We stayed at The National for 3 nights in November and overall had a very pleasant break. The room was large and well furnished with the housekeeping very good indeed, additionally it was well heated too. The bathroom, which included a large walk in shower was also spacious, but unfortunately not as well equipped as one would have wished as despite its size there was a tiny "shelf" in the shower and it was necessary to run the water for some considerable time prior to any warm water coming through. How one would draw a bath I cannot imagine so we never tried to do so. ||The breakfast on the first day was amazing! Lovely and hot, bacon freshly delivered into hot receptacles, as were the sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms etc etc. The eggs came through from the kitchen swiftly but were covered in oil which made them difficult to pass to one's plate successfully with only a large Spoon to move them with! A flat, large spatula would be a good idea. However, the 2nd and 3rd days were a different story. EVERYTHING was stone cold, even if it had been brought through from the kitchen as one waited!! Even the plate warme was stone cold, whereas the day before I had to use a napkin in order to hold it to serve myself. A much pleasanter experience!!||The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble, but it was clear that more staff were needed over breakfast as they could not possibly keep up with demand and this was in November and when the business folk had long gone!||The food in the restaurant (we only ate off the Table D'hotel menu) was AMAZING both in quality and quantity and could not be faulted. The staffing levels were much better too.||Overall, we had a good time, especially as the weather was sunny all the time (how lucky were we?) and I would stay again and recommend it overall. I do like a good hot breakfast to start my day however and this was a real let down for both myself and my husband, despite the fact it was included in our package. I would have resisted paying a charge for the cold ones if this had not been the case as I had to leave most of it.

My mum and I are currently staying at the East Sussex National and are having a lovely time! We have stayed here many times and are never disappointed. Special mention to the amazing waitress Nicoleta! She was so lovely and went out of her way to ensure that I was happy with the food choices. She even produced something that wasn’t on the menu as it was what I fancied. Very impressed, 5* ! Will definitely be coming again🎄✨
