I came with my family here recently on a Friday evening. We had made a reservation and were seated quickly. The server was excellent, patiently explaining everything and giving recommendations. We ordered a mix of dips and salad for appetizers which were great, particular beetroot hummus. The Family Premium Grill Platter was excellent, full of different meats, all of which were full of flavour. It was a good amount for 4-5 adults, along with the appetizers and a couple of mana’eesh. I highly recommend this spot for group dinners. Everything is halal.

Genuinely tasty Mediterranean food experience. Nice cozy ambiance. Great service with smile by Rania. We were in a group and tried out few many dishes and everything was very delicious. Moroccan Tea and Irish coffee were the highlights! Highly recommended food place for Mediterranean food lovers!

I had an incredible experience at this Middle Eastern restaurant. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. The food exceeded all expectations, especially the muhammara, barbecue, and tabbouleh. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always had a smile. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and delightful dining experience!

We went to East Tea Can for a buffet. The food was delicious, and the décor was beautiful. However, the customer service was disappointing. We arrived early and were given a table, but while waiting for the buffet to start, no one informed us about the $20 fee for food waste. It was only after we had filled our plates and were about to eat that a waitress came to inform us. I was surprised that she didn’t mention it earlier. I understand that the policy was written on the table, but at a buffet, most people wouldn’t notice or read it. Fortunately, we didn’t have to pay any extra since we finished our plates. Also, the buffet was a bit pricey at $65 per person plus tax. I’ve had a similar buffet for $55 on a weekend.

We had a really nice brunch experience here. The environment is so cozy with great Middle East features. The Shakshuka was really delicious and the rice pudding with great palate of saffron and lemon is a must to try. Super friendly staff with very kind guests.

Came here for the first time, staff were very kind, and food was delicious. We got the dip board, and the grill platter which were recommended to us by our waiter. Interior is beautifully decorated.

Had dinner here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The atmosphere was pretty calm and soothing. Even on a weeknight, they were not empty. Loved their bread - so fresh, fluffy and Yum!!!! Their mint lemonade actually had authentic flavor and their chicken was well done. I ordered a skewer of authentic chicken tawook and spicy red tawook together. The meals came with sufficient rice and a very tasty garlic sauce and onions/tomatoes... the order didnt take more than 5-10mins to arrive - fresh! The servers were attentative and helpful. It is in the Ethereal sheesha lounge plaza right at the intersection. Ample parking. We had a reservation so no wait time for a table.

The first time I went here the food was good and completely different compared to when I went last night in terms of presentation and portion both. I ordered the spicy shish tawouk both times. They used to give you 2 skewers and a spicy sauce on the side but I only received one skewer and no sauce. I called over my server named Mominah and asked her but she claimed they made these changes for a while now and that is indeed 2 skewers on my plate and they no longer serve spicy sauce and she also said “I have no reason to lie.” She should have a better attitude and tone while talking to paying customers. Just goes to show they’re inconsistent. I only enjoyed the appetizer we ordered which was the brisket hummus. Overpriced for what you get and no customer service skills either. Will not be returning. I posted pictures for proof. Looks like it would be food from two different spots.

Yelp
My friend is Lebanese and we were in town for meetings and wanted to try something different. We really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant and the staff was very nice. We tried the vegetarian sample player of dips and really love the variety. The home made pita was phenomenal! We also had the goat cheese dip along with some falafel's. We then got a nice pizza and really loved the cheese. The mint green tea was fantastic as well. I really enjoyed the time at East Tea and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Make sure you come in as a group. If you come in alone to eat you may get ignored by servers. Two tables of 4 came in 10 mins after me and were served first. I had to get up after half an hour to ask someone to take my order. First impression of the restaurant was not good but decided to give it a try. I was going to try a few items but was hesitant after the initial experience, so I only ordered the lamb shank plate. Food was amazing. Reminded me of when I lived in Morocco. Warm fresh bread. Perfect cut of lamb and the plate was very well seasoned. I liked the addition of the sliced almonds and pomegranates for taste & texture, with flower buds for decoration. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and kept very clean. Definitely had a women only feel during the lunch rush (more the clientele they have on weekdays). Although the servers were very nice I did notice, that they made me wait 25 mins so that they could clean tables before starting to make my mint tea. There was no urgency to clean tables as many tables were still clean & available since it was after the lunch rush. When I asked about the tea he did apologized as there were only two servers working the floor. I was given tea 35 mins after ordering it. Customer service skills/common sense is slightly lacking when it comes to waiting on a table or cleaning. I would come back but maybe with others as I think there is definitely a bias to a table of customers vs. just one customer. Hoping my next experience is better.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant a few times now and the food is absolutely amazing! Everything is fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. You can tell they put a lot of care into every dish they make. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family and can't wait to go back myself.

Yelp
I found this place through social media. My friends and I decided to check this place out. We got an order of Family Mixed Grill Platter & Hummus Dips. We got to try a little bit of everything. Which was really well made and presented. I felt the service was a little slow and the waitress kept going to other tables and not attending ours. We requested water twice and we didn't get it until we were almost at the end of the food. I feel like if they focused on service a little more others would have a pleasant time and visit more.

Yelp
Awesome vegetarian food! The dip platter was my personal favourite! It was also the crispiest falafel I've ever had. And the pita was incredibly fresh!! The service was decent overall, a little disorganized. But the ambiance was cute!!

Yelp
My favorite dish was the roasted cauliflower. Flavourful and great with the bread...my only complaint would be that the bread seemed a little stale? In the past, it's been served hot and fresh. The grill platter was also pretty good. Service was quick but the place could have been cleaner. We wiped the chair and the napkin was black!!

Yelp
So freaking good. It's a big space and a lot of groups come here. I came for lunch on a weekend and they said they only serve from their brunch menu or you could order grilled items from main menu. I loved their babaghanoush - there was so much flavour. Definitely try their manakeesh and pita bread too. Anything that comes out of their oven is so yummy.

Yelp
Just a few weeks ago I'd tried this place for the first time and said that it was the best middle eastern food I'd ever eaten...including the decade I spent living in that part of the world And then earlier today I repeat the order without a single change because of my obviously phenomenal recent experience... and what did I find this time? The quantities of everything I'd ordered were visibly smaller with the exception of the hummus and Baba Ghanoush ... ... and that's a crying shame to say the least

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance we went for dinner and definitely recommend the dip platter for first timers

Yelp
Very good Mediterranean food. We have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions and always enjoyed our meal. Please note that this restaurant can get busy, and you might have to wait. However, it's worth the wait.

Yelp
This place was really really nice. I enjoyed the decor a lot. They have a really nice patio area as well. Though it's on the pricey side, the portions were very generous. The meat was very tender and I really enjoyed there tahini and garlic sauces. Presentation was really nice. One thing that sets it apart from the many other middle eastern and Turkish restaurants in the gta that have similar food is the very cute tea sets.

Yelp
3.5-4 We stopped in here for a quick lunch between errands on a Saturday. They thoroughly checked vaccine certificates and id. I ordered a salad with arugula, dates, pomegranate, etc. There were too many onions and way too much dressing. At first bite it was tasty but was way too sour for me. It actually hurt my teeth. Hubby loved it and polished it off. Hubby got the hummus with brisket on it. He liked it very much. It came with 2 hot fresh breads which were devoured. We payed for a third bread because it was so good.....but not gluten free. The best part was the orange apple cinnamon tea. The flavour and aroma were beautiful. The pot seemed like it was never ending but we didn't waste a single drop! We want to return with the fam to explore the menu more.

Yelp
Decided to finally check this place out for Dinner. The apps were absolutely delicious. The hummus with beef, the variety of different dips and the fresh bread to accompany. On to the main course. I wasnt that pleased with my meat. It was alright.

Yelp
Terrible service, average food and fast food ambiance. This place is a total miss. The servers do not smile & and are unfriendly. We had ordered tea, when it was delivered, the waitress placed it at the far end of the table and walked away without even looking at us. I had to get up and get it myself. Throughout our visit, we found unfriendly staff. I don't blame the servers, I blame the business owner who hasn't trained them. The food was just average. The look & feel is deceptive in online pictures... in actuality it looks like a fast food place. Please avoid.

Yelp
4.5/5! Went here recently for the first time for brunch and I really enjoyed the food! I ordered the Iraqi kebab (beef and lamb) with shoestring fries, and I was very satisfied with this. Only thing I didn't particular enjoy were the pickled veggies on the side of this dish which I found were a tad bit too salty. We ordered family style and shared most of what we ordered - I enjoyed everyone's dishes and everything tasted great! I'm definitely going to come back here another time to try their dinner menu. My favourites: - 3 dip hummus platter - the red pepper hummus was the best one! (It had a very nice kick) - Sausages (I forgot the exact name) - Moroccan tea - this was super refreshing! (We ordered with extra mint leaves) In terms of covid protocols, this places takes adequate measures. They check for proof of vaccinations along with your ID when you enter.

Yelp
Favourite item: dip platter - I honestly can't remember which 4 dips this comes with, but they were all divine. Each one tasted unique and the portions are very generous! Other items: Mixed grill platter - the meats were tender and sauces paired well. You get to try a lot of different things and it's definitely more than enough for a party of 3. Cheese and Herbs Manakeesh: I love cheese and I love flatbread (perfectly thin and holds its shape) so this dish hit the spot. It's tastes exactly how you would expect. Overall, this restaurant feels and tastes authentic. The decor and service is amazing, so prepare to enjoy both the experience and food here!

Yelp
(4.5/5) FOOD | Got some take out from this local Middle Eastern joint. It was really busy when we went and even takeout took around 20-25 minutes to prepare. I wasn't feeling too hungry so I got the 3 cheese & herbs manakeesh ($6.50). On the menu it looks like a flatbread but it came out more pizza-like? Regardless, it was so flavourful, and I loved the cheese blend. It actually was pretty filling because of the heaviness of the cheese. AMBIANCE | The interior of this restaurant is so nice. It is decorated very authentically, with a large open oven for the pitas. The patio is also roomy and nicely decorated, and I would definitely come back to do dine-in. SERVICE | A bit on the slow side (especially for take out), but it may be because we came at rush hour. VERDICT | So many vegetarian options ... Can't wait to come back and try other menu items!

Yelp
We've ordered via Uber Eats from East Tea Can now a couple of times and have really enjoyed the food. We chose the platter for two each time, which comes with a generous helping of veggie and meat options along with hummus, tabbouleh, pickles, rice, samoon bread, and other delicious goodies. The food has been nicely packed and we love the variety of items which are included. We've also tried both of their dessert dishes - the rose custard and also the cheese filled fries noodles (both are amazing). Our new go to spot for middle eastern food! Hopefully someday we will visit in person too.

Yelp
Tried the Iraqi Kebab ($19.50) and placed the order via Skip the Dishes for pick up. We waited outside until the order was ready. The dish comes with two skewers of kebab, lots of rice, two types of salad, tahini and naan. I am a huge fan of their fresh naan, so I was a little disappointed that due to Covid, they pre-bake their naans (no worries, I understand). The kebab was very well done and nicely spiced. The rice were a little oily and were made with vermicelli. Overall the food was good. Taking a star off because it is on the pricey side. Almost $20 for a plate is a lot given most of it is rice and bread. Great for dinner option. They also have beautiful interior and a cozy patio. I will be back after lockdown.

Yelp
Went yesterday with a friend that came from Dubai that was excited to try the place we were 4 went at 7:30 on a weekday the place was half empty but the attendant at the door literally told us that if we don't have reservations it's not possible to dine in ! I said we can wait there was no line up no one else waiting but she said you could wait for an 1/2 hour 45 min or more, we waited for 15 min kept checking with her people left tables were empty but she insisted that she has lots of reservations and best for us is to leave ! Advice for owners if you don't accept walk ins you should advertise that so people don't get disappointed thanks but never again you lost a customer

Yelp
It's become my new tradition every time I'm in Toronto to drive the 30-60 minutes just to dine here. It's one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Canada, possibly North America. A true gem that takes Levantine cuisine seriously without trying to make it stuffy or into something overly elevated. The brunch is my favourite. The decor and patio setting is yet another draw.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant: Lively and prompt. The Service was excellent, very timely and food tasty. Their meat platter was good but sans Spice and nice. The dip and the Mohamara were excellent! A very nice experience for all ages and occasions.

Yelp
This is one of my top choices for middle eastern food. Not only does it have great food but it also has a great ambience. The hummus with meat was my favourite. If you guys don't mind beef then for sure order this. The jerk beef on top of the hummus was juicy and tender. I got the family grill platter. My, my, my, that plate was BIG. It was enough to feed 5 people easily. From the grill platter, the beef kabab was my favourite. Try it with tahini sauce and you can thank me later. Service, ambience and food were all great.

Yelp
The food is delicious here - really just as delicious as it looks! I ordered the East Tea Can Signature Chicken Skewer($22). My friend ordered the Falafel plate. We both had Turkish coffee($3.5) to end the night off! This place is slightly more expensive than other Middle Eastern Restaurant I've been too but I say it was worth it! Pros - The place is so cute and absolutely stunning! - Beautiful decor on their walls and the atmosphere gave out a very authentic homey vibe - Chicken was delicious. Very juicy and tender. - The rice had a different spin to it . Special herbs were added to it giving it a more unique taste - The complimentary bread was the best I've ever had- so light, warm and fluffy - Servers were really friendly Cons - The cups/ seats weren't the cleanest and the complimentary water tasted a bit funky and smelled weird - Cushion on the seats were a bit high and both my friend and I felt uncomfortable - Service was slightly slow- it was hard to locate our server at times Overall, the experience was still fab . Despite the cons, I'd still definitely return !!

Yelp
The patio looked appealing with turquoise painted poles and see-through white curtains as decor. There are also more seating area in the parking lot (reserved for their customers) and indoor since it's phase 3. They were already busy before noon when we showed up so we opted for an inside table with very cold a/c. Side note. The washroom is clean but it was frozen. Really? Why turn up the a/c like that. I felt I was in a freezer trying to pee. Somehow, they didn't offer complimentary water. We saw some tables with 1.5 L of bottled water. It has been our second experience like this in a restaurant- weird that they can't even offer free water. The chairs are not well matched to the tables so one feels awkwardly sitting on them. The big oven where they make their fresh bread can be seen near the entrance. We ordered the mix grill platter for $32. It came with three different types of meat, rice, salad and bread. The meat was mostly juicy and flavourful, even though we used a lot of garlic sauce. The bread was chewy and hot. However not the ones beside the meat. The puny salad was a disappointment. Really? Portion size is definitely for a kid, not for 2 adults to share. For that price, I would have expected a bigger salad. My tummy was definitely full and satisfied with the meal. However I would only go back for special occasions. The restaurant's menu is in the pricier side.

Yelp
Nicely decorated specious interior, good service, great menu and delicious food! My colleague suggested this place and we decided to give it a shot, and we are glad we did. We had their Signature Chicken Skewer and Signature Beef Skewer, both with fries. The skewers were nice, we liked the chicken better, the beef was a bit chewy. The fries were really good. Looks like the menu has many interesting items. We'll put this place in our shortlist to try out the other items too.

Yelp
I'm a fan! Situated at Winston Churchill / Dundas is East Tea Can. You won't miss the blue door when arriving. This Middle Eastern restaurant is really authentic, and the interior is absolutely amazing. They have plenty of seats, it's a perfect spot for a group lunch. I came on a Friday for lunch and was seated right away, the atmosphere was bustling with conversation and smelling of great food. The menu is pretty expensive so we had a hard time deciding what to order. We decided to split a few dishes - cheese manekeesh, dip platter, and Iraqi kebab - this was more than enough for 2 people - however with 3 people I might suggest a bit more protein dishes. The food arrived quite promptly, service was good too. The menu was a bit on the pricier side, but I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
So torn between 3/3.5 stars.Ok its a 3.5! So the food is average but the experience is nice how do i put that right? Will try hard-to incorporate that in writing. I have been wanting to review this place for the longest time never really go on to writing one.So I went there when this place was fairly new and everyone was raving about it.So when you walk in the decor and ambiance is just so beautiful and inviting they have managed to strike the perfect balance with incorporating east and west with a little pita oven placed in the restaurant. So not deviating from the pita oven the highlight of the meal here was it's fresh piping hot pitas and declious hummus.Rest of the food was just ok. Starting with the mankeesh which was pretty standard-the kabob entree was dry and lacked flavor definitely very average.I also tried a drink on the menu-pic is on yelp, it was pretty good but pricey. Overall verdict:-Decent food, pretty ambience, service is good but takes forever for the food to come come-the pita and hummus though did come out early.Smaller portions a tad bit pricey.Lots of parking outside.

Yelp
Yayyyy for patio season! Made it back to one of my favourite middle eastern places after a while. Got their famous Saffroni Chicken Skewer grill and it was just as flavourful and delicious as I remember it pre pandemic lol! Also got their pretty and creamyyy dip platter consisting of the following: * Classic hummus * Bummus * Roasted Red Pepper Hummus * Baba Ghanoush Each dip had unique flavours and something for everyone! My favourite was the roasted red pepper hummus. We also got the ground beef manakeesh which was sooo good and the mixed platter for 2 and mannnn we had a FEAST The mixed platter for 2 consists of: * 1 Iraqi kabab * 1 kufta * 1 chicken kabab * 1 chicken tawook I can't even pick a favourite I literally just mixed and matched pieces of each kabab with the rice and tahini sauce! Ended off with the apple, mint and ginger lemonade and pomegranate lemonade, super sweet and refreshing. Overall we were super full and satisfied with our Mediterranean feast with lots of leftovers to take home with us. Even though we made a reservation it was definitely super busy and there was a bit of wait, we really didn't mind though and the staff were super sweet and apologetic about it. Check them out y'all!

Yelp
Really good flavors and service is good. Appetizers - Fried cauliflower : This was really tasty but less in quantity , we saw the picture in the menu and it's a little deceptive. No complaints on the taste though. Loved the sauce. Batata Harra - Tangy flavors and good for a side. Hummus with chicken : chicken seemed crispy and added to the flavor of the hummus and with their fresh breads this was a fantastic combination. Main course- Falafel bowl : huge portion. I personally loved the falafel. Served with 4 falafel ,rice, hummus ,salad this bowl is totally worth it and must try! Chicken kabab : we got this with salad and you can choose rice or fries as well. Chicken tagine : it's chicken curry with carrots, olives and served with rice. Less of the gravy and more chicken but good taste. Dessert - Rice Pudding : a mixed experience here. Served with orange and I suppose they do add the orange zest to it - this was something I did not quiet enjoy and may not be for my taste. Note - They do not take reservations on weekends and given there is just patio seating there can be a bit of a wait time but we arrived around 1pm and got a decent spot. Overall this is a must try and highly recommended.

Yelp
Came for company dinner, so happy to see halal places that have great atmosphere without alcohol being served. Visiting from CA, so was pleasantly surprised. The food was on point, even though probably more fun family style so you can try all the yumminess! Mint lemon drink absolutely go for it! Also they helped me charge my phone, so thank you for your kindness host lady with glasses! :) jazak Allah Khair

Yelp
FOOD: We had come here on a Tuesday afternoon at around 12:00 pm for lunch. We had settled on a few dishes to share, which included the Dip Platter ($12.00), 6 Falafels ($5.00), East Tea Can Signature Chicken Skewer With Fries ($22.00), and Saffron Rice ($3.25). We had decided on the Dip Platter after seeing it on someone else's table when we had first walked-in. We were surprised to see that there were four different dips included; Hummus, Bummus, Dummus, and Mutabbal. Each of the dips were placed in glasses, which were then placed onto a wooden board (we really loved how amazing it all looked). We were also given three large pita breads to use for dipping, which was phenomenal, tasting as though it had just come-out of the oven. The dips were all delicious, with each of them boasting the perfect amount of flavour, and just divine for dipping, such a wonderful combination! Another appetizer that we had decided on was the Falafel, which came with a total of six, each of them perfectly-shaped, with them all being crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. These were the best falafels that I had ever tasted; they also came to the table hot (temperature-wise), and tasted fresh, just the way I like them! I loved how the falafels had a small container of dipping sauce, which was perfect as they were tiny enough to dip. Such delicious falafels, very tasty, and absolutely yummy! In terms of the East Tea Can Signature Chicken Skewer, we were blown-away at how it was presented to us; on a large metal stick, hanging-over a plate, which included the fries that we had ordered as our side. There were quite a few large pieces of chicken on each skewer, and the chicken had a nice spice to it, although we did find it to be a bit dry, but, adding the dips to them made them taste much better. The fries were also very nicely-done, all of them crispy and hot (temperature-wise). Also, they were quite large, and filled-us up quick! The last item that we had ordered was a side-order of Saffron Rice, which came with pine nuts garnished on the top. We did find that this rice was also a tad dry however, the dips helped to make it taste better. I loved the addition of the pine nuts, it was a delectable combination, which gave the saffron an exquisite taste. Overall, the food far surpassed our expectations; it was quite delicious, fresh, and appetizing to look at, and taste! Although we did find the prices to be a tad high, it was worth the wonderful food that we had consumed! ATMOSPHERE: When we had first entered this restaurant, we noticed how large and spacious it was, with many pieces of décor on the walls, such as paintings, bicycles, and funky light-fixtures which made the place glow with delight. Although we weren't able to read the posters on the walls, they were colourful and pleasing to the eye, making our stay enjoyable. The tables were a large enough size, and the chairs were comfortable enough during our time. We also noticed that they had a large patio that was partially-covered, which did look tempting on a nice day. It wasn't too crowded when we had gone however, about half of the restaurant was full, with little noise amongst all of the diners. We also loved the door upon entering the restaurant, such a funky colour and exquisite design! SERVICE: Upon entering, we were brought to a table near the front by a kind hostess, who then handed us our menus, and allowed us enough time to order. We then were approached by our server, who asked if we were ready to order. Both the hostess and server came over to ask how we were doing during our meal, making us feel comfortable and welcome. The hostess even played with my toddler son, which made him laugh, and made me smile to see. We loved how accommodating and kind all of the workers were at this restaurant! COST: 1 Dip Platter ($12.00) + 6 Falafels ($5.00) + 1 East Tea Can Signature Chicken Skewer With Fries ($22.00) + 1 Saffron Rice ($3.25): $42.25 + Tax = $47.74 WOULD YOU RETURN? Without a doubt! This restaurant definitely knows how to satisfy customers; from deliciously-made food, to an inviting atmosphere, along with friendly staff. Such a great place to dine for any occasion!

Yelp
I enjoyed my dinner here. I kept it simple and had the Baba Ghanoush appetizer, which came with some nice freshly made bread. I then had the Iraqi Kebab Plate with a salad, and finished it off with the Um Ali. Everything was tasty though I should have chosen the rice pudding for dessert since the Um Ali was rather a lot.

Yelp
I came here with a group of 12 people for an early dinner this past weekend on a Sunday evening for an early dinner around 5pm. Originally we wanted to come at 7:30pm but they told us they were closed from 7- 8:30 for Ramadan, which was understandable. After 8:30pm they only offered the buffet option which was $40/adult. Since we wanted to have a variety of dishes, we went with a 5:30pm reservation. I really wanted to like this place, but the terrible service here really frustrated me, hence the lower review. As soon as you walk in, you see the amazing decor and atmosphere, but that all wears off immediately when you are seated and see the service here. Our waiter came to our table, said his name was Ahmed, but you can call me "Jay" , was friendly but brushed off our repeated requests for drinks and bread. When it finally came time to take out drink orders, he reluctantly took them, but then didn't serve them until halfway through our meal, as if he forgot them. Whenever we politely asked for more of the house bread to have along with our hummus and Baba Ghanoush, he said he would bring some, but the bread never came. One of our 4 fries was cold, I asked him to bring a hot one, to replace, but it took over 20min to bring a new one. He continually forgot our orders, every time I asked for something simple like water or extra napkins, he always said "I got you", but then never came. He definitely didn't didn't "have us" Just in terms of service with such a large group,I truly think another waiter should have been assisting him. That would've helped our experience immensely. The most frustrating part about this this terrible service experience was that the restaurant wasn't even busy. There were only about 2 other parties besides us in the entire restaurant. We ordered: Tabuleh - so much lemon, you could hardly taste anything else Kale Tabuleh - pretty tasty, too much lemon, but a nice twist on the original parsley based one. Baba Ghanoush - tasty and fresh Fattoush salad - pretty ok, nothing special though Hummus - Good, nothing great Falafel - Hot and crispy without being too dry on the inside, the garlic sauce accompanied with it, was rally good too! It was very flavourful without being too overpowering. Chicken Wings - pretty tasty actually, they had a really great flavour and were very moist. Family Mixed Grill (4 Iraqi Kabab skewers, 2 Tikka skewers and 3 Shish Tawook skewers served with grilled vegetables, pickles, Hummus, fries, rice and salad) - All the meat items were delicious! It was actually a very good variety platter that a lot of us could share. Lemon Mint Juice - quite a few of us ordered this drink, and it was absolutely lovely! It was so light and refreshing without being too sour or sweet. I would highly recommend trying it. The only drawback here was that the drinks were served well into our main meal. We were about halfway done our dinner by the time the drinks arrived which was really disappointing. East Tea Can Signature Dried Lime - A couple of us wanted to try the tea before our meal, ( since we're Indian, and it was around 5:30pm, that is normally tea time for us) Our waiter insisted that we should have our tea after the meal to help with digestion, so in the end we listened to him and had it as a post dinner tea. Overall, the consensus here, is that the food tasted great, but the service was sooooo poor I might refrain from coming back here again. Its disappointing because I was really excited for this place but it ended up being a bittersweet experience.

Yelp
Restaurants like this one is one of the reasons it is great living in the GTA. The food is simply outstanding. We've always enjoyed generous portions. You'll enjoy the live music as well. This is a spot we frequent several times throughout the year. Be sure to check it out!

Yelp
Great little restaurant with lots of good offering. Loved the oven baked fresh bread and shawarma skewers as well as the baba ganouj appetizer. Extremely succulent and juicy chicken skewers along with the beef marinade shawarma. Loved the tea and baklawa as well! Awesome service

Yelp
Wonderful menu - mix of middle eastern cuisines. Had the spicy hummus with grilled halloumi which was divine; spicy balanced with the salt from the halloumi. Pairs really well with their fresh bread. Also got the chicken with creamy tomato sauce and rice as well as a freekah. First time trying the freekah - not disappointed, very different, comforting and a great balance of savoury and creamy. Too full for dessert. Those 3 items were more than enough for 2 people. Highly recommend. Great for large group. Decor is very nice - has a rustic feel to it. Restaurant is clean. Very professional staff. Only con was that they were out of their chai tea and we didn't have a chance to try it - next time! Cause we'll definitely be going back.

Yelp
This restaurant was beautifully decorated with Arabic art and intricate lamps. I only wish I had enough time to come again to try more dishes! We had the hummus with lamb, speciality chicken skewers, and pomegranate beef sirloin. I didn't care for the hummus, and the chicken skewers were good but not great. The sirloin tasted like a kebab. I will say that the place is pretty busy and the service is slow. It was more expensive than other mediterranean restaurants.

Yelp
Food is great, ambience is great - taste the Kunefah, you wont regret it! I visited with colleagues for a 5th anniversary and everyone enjoyed teh food very much! We ordered the family platter which fed 6 people and we had leftovers! The Moroccan tea and Black cardomom tea was refreshing and authentic. My only complaint was no serving utensils but we dug in with our hands and enjoyed anyway!

Yelp
Food is great. Good portion. Very busy place. Table is kind of small for a group of 5 or 6 people. Since we were sitting a bit close to the entrance, so the food got cold very quick. Will go back again

Yelp
Ordered for the first time from Door Dash. I got the house Labneh for around $7 and the grill platter for two for $32. I will attach the pictures. I was craving some Labneh which I have ordered from both Paramount and Jenin on the Run. To be honest, the Labneh was average. The bread was good to eat while hot but it gets tougher to eat when you don't eat it fresh. For the platter, it came in a large foil container and it had a lot of fries. I didn't eat the fries. As for the platter, it was average for me as well hence the 3 stars. It came with some sauces, I liked the garlic sauce. It was good to try but I'm not sure if I'll order it again. The packaging was ok and overall it costed me around $54 with the delivery.

Yelp
A group of us (14) went to East Tea Can for lunch last week. We were greeted and seated as soon as we go there. We were given menus which looked like small newspapers. The waitress came over right away and took our drink orders and then spent a few minutes explaining what each of the menu items was (very helpful as a few of the party weren't used to Middle Eastern cuisine). It took a long time for the food to come out and there was probably 15 to 20 minutes between the first person's food arriving and the last. However, they're a fairly new restaurant and we were a large table so we weren't really worried about that. Everything we ordered was delicious. The salads were very fresh and the flavours punchy and bright. The hot dishes were all great too. I LOVED the falafel and can honestly say they were the best I've ever had. They were so crispy on the outside, but deliciously soft and moist in the centre. They were served with plenty of tahini, which I really appreciated and they also came with a huge plate of lettuce, onion, tomato and cucumber. I also had the Jarjeer salad, which had baby arugula, red onion, dates, walnuts, tomatoes and was dressed with a pomegranate molasses with what tasted like lots of sumac. Delicious! The servings were VERY generous and most of us ended up with doggie bags. Everyone at the table said they'd definitely return.

Yelp
Great restaurant for large groups as the plates are really meant for sharing. The highlight of the meal was the mint lemon juice which was really refreshing. We also tried a variety of their manakeesh, hummus, and a grilled platter. The decor was also unique and bright.

Yelp
Loved the energy here... even thou when I visited, they were going through renovation and the seating was outside in a tent. The service was nice, the food tasted great. We had the dip platter super yummy... signature grill and the chicken escalope. Highly recommended spot to meet a friend or change of scenery

Yelp
It was busy but the wait time was not bad- about 5 minutes. The decor is good, very middle eastern, there is a patio too, but it was closed for the season. The interior is decorated very reminiscent of the Middle East- my family loved it. We ordered Mutabbul (egg plant dip) , rice kubbah (it was very fresh) shaped like falafel and freekah with cheese, cream and mushroom . The pita comes with it, sooo fresh . We ordered tea, but sadly it wasn't hot enough, we asked for another one but it wasn't hot like it should be. They also have a shelf of kettles/coffee pots that you can buy. The staff was good and the manager was welcoming and polite. I would return!

Yelp
We absolutely loved the food here. We tried hummus, their hot bread basket, falafel and sheesh tawook plate. Even though the place was busy, the service was really good. Absolutely going back here again.

Yelp
Fancy decorations. Foods good. The apple orange cinnamon tea is exceptional !! Must try. Like the red sauce. The eggplant dip is not that impressive.
