We stopped here for lunch during our trip to Burlington and really enjoyed our meals. We had the pumpkin and mango curries with tofu, as well as the vegetable gyoza, all of which were very flavorful and tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the portions were sizable (we both had leftovers). This place was overall a nice stop and it's now on our radar the next time we come back to visit!

Take out at this place is fantastic! Large enough portions for two meals, well seasoned and affordable. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The only place in town that I have been able to find vegan lo mein!

We got the Pad kee mao and Pad Thai! They were both delicious and fast!

10/10. Best Asian food spot I’ve been to in Burlington. No complaints. Will be back.

Google
Excellent food and service. We had a really great dinner. I ordered the pumpkin curry, which was so delicious. I’d strongly recommend visiting this new location. Cozy atmosphere, felt like I could’ve been in an expensive hotel.

I’ve ordered take out from here twice… and won’t be again. My first experience, the chicken tasted kind of like windex and was pretty tough. Giving them another chance, I ordered again today and it was.. fine. I arrived and could hear my order being repeatedly microwaved. (Beep beep, door open, close, repeat) Paying the prices listed for food that’s being microwaved in plastic containers is a complete scam. Both times I have been in the restaurant has been fairly empty, however, I’m waiting 5+ minutes until I am acknowledged. This is after arriving at designated pick-up times. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, there are better places nearby.

Place looks cute but it is often closed during posted open hours. We went in one hour before closing. Door was open and the guy laughs at us and says "CLOSED NO FOOD. We ran out of food". There was nobody there so this story did not make sense.

East West Cafe is a family run restaurant with amazing food and a nice atmosphere. The Tom Yum soup, Spring Rolls, Red Curry, and Cashew Chicken Dishes were all perfectly cooked. It is probably good that I don't live closer or I would be there all the time! We'll be back!

Yelp
The worst Thai food I have ever had. Our $100+ Doordash order: Shrimp Dumplings - the beautiful Doordash pic was a huge lie. Instead of the pan-fried pic, we received sad, warmed-up frozen mass-made dumplings. Chicken Satay - skewers of old and/or overcooked, chewy & stringy chicken with old-looking peanut sauce. Pad Kee Mao - the noodles were so overcooked, they formed one big mass of goo. With undercooked vegetables mixed in. Pad Thai - a generous amount of terrible tasting pad thai, with a negligible amount of chicken added. Cashew Chicken - not as horrible as the other dishes, but also not very tasty. Served with steamed rice. Sticky Rice w/Custard - a crusty-edged portion of unflavored rice, made sticky (vs actual dessert sticky rice). Covered up with slices of old, scary-hued custard & a gloppy coconut sauce to hide all the ugly. It is so rare for me to hate food. It is even rarer for me to throw food away. But this was all so terrible that I can't even look at it. Do NOT recommend.

Yelp
Visited here on Friday night (26 Oct) They have just opened up on 169 Church Street and had been open less than a week when we visited. Friendly atmosphere, the food is reasonably priced, tasty and large portions. One thing to aware of is that no alcohol is served, but you can BYO.

Yelp
We just ate dinner here.. Holy Thai Basil, Batman... this place is awesome! My new favorite spot. Very affordable and super yummy Thai that reminds me of the beginning days out in Essex when Tiny Thai first started.. Everything was cooked perfectly. No overly raw veggies, none overdone... Vegan and gf options.. even gf vegan Thai dumplings with scallions.. and you can get brown rice if you want instead of white. Comfort food. I feel amazing People haven't really discovered it yet due to construction on Church and Main so go now when there's no wait to be seated.. It will be good for you and for their business. I want this place to stay open! It tasted like someone who really cared about the food and you had made it, like you were eating in the chef's home with her family.

Yelp
East West Cafe has moved to 169 Church Street in Burlington. It was well worth navigating the construction on the street, because the food was delicious. Our order included 3 appetizers (Thai dumplings, summer rolls, and pork/bean buns), all fantastic and made with fresh, traditional ingredients, as was my main course (pork and egg noodles). The service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was comfortable and much, much bigger than their former location. You could hold a party here! Their new hours are 9am-2pm for lunch and 4pm-9pm for dinner. Next week, they will also be serving breakfast from 8AM-2PM. I can't wait to try the morning menu!

Yelp
I moved to Burly (UVM student) a year ago with a mission: to try and rank every Thai place in the area. I am a huge lover of Thai food and have eaten a lot of it, being from the Bay where all Asian cuisine is super prominent. Before reading this review let it be noted that I prefer to eat at E/W Cafe in person, because when they deliver, their food is 2/5 stars for me. East West Cafe took the cake. Out of maybe eight or nine Thai restaurants, they won without question. Their food is delicious, and great for Vermont. And you can tell it's made with love. Their Thai iced tea is tasty and their edemame is always good. Furthermore, their sticky rice is always nice. I also love the papaya salad. And obviously the tofu pad thai is great. Also, their tofu curry is really good!!! I make my friends go here with me all the time. If you live in the area PLEASE support East West Cafe during this quarantine! They are a gem. However, upon reading through the more negative reviews and the inappropriate responses the owner gave to those reviewers, I will understand entirely if you don't care to support them anymore.

Yelp
Writing this review during the time of COVID-19 quarantine. We decided to order our first meal from a restaurant in over 3 weeks of being at home...we chose East West Cafe & were sorely disappointed. I ordered Pad Kea Mow with chicken and it was made with tofu instead. As someone who loves chicken & hates tofu, you can see how this would be a problem. My dish was also very spicy for being medium, but I'm not complaining about that; just a warning that "Medium" here runs hot.

Sara S.

Yelp
One of the best Thai restaurants we've experienced. It's quaint, authentic, and delicious. Everything was so fresh - vibrant vegetables, chicken fork tender, and sauces full of flavors. There are only a handful of tables in the restaurant and counter seating along the perimeter. Service is pleasant and the atmosphere very casual. They serve traditional Thai dishes and teas. I highly recommend the panang curry. No one mentioned the heat level and it came out just right with the perfect amount of heat, tolerable to the masses I think. Tofu larb salad has a great dressing you could drink. I may ask them not to fry the tofu next time for a softer bite. Very welcome addition to the Burlington dining scene.

Yelp
I ordered a vegan pad thai and the chef made it with chicken. I ate almost half of it before I realized and I was so upset. This was the second time I had eaten there. The first time my card didn't go through, and he told me to pay him back which I thought was weird, but I went home with my first dinner there for free. (It was fine but I guess I don't know anymore.) So I returned the SECOND chicken pad thai, and he literally looked through it and told me that it was vegan when it was clearly not, like an insane person. He started yelling at me when I insisted on a refund, and just handed me a handful of cash out of the cash register and told me to get out. I could have called the cops. He treated me differently than every other customer and is apparently married to the owner, who is Asian and appears much older than him and barely speaks English. He was barking orders at her the entire time and didn't want to do anything himself. It was pathetic and embarrassing. If you care about local businesses, don't eat here. It's totally fake.

Yelp
I've made three take-out orders here over the last few months. Tonight I just wanted some won-ton soup for $5. Parking isn't great in this area, had to loop the block a few times but no biggie, order was ready when I walked in which was nice. On one occasion it was 15 min late but I didn't mind waiting. Picked up the order and walked back to car. Noticed a little wetness on my hands, figured it was condensation, went home. Upon arrival, bag felt a lot more damp, thought "man this must be smokin' hot." Got upstairs and the bag was barely holding together. Unpacked the bag (which remained level the entire time btw) to find that the soup container had a 1.5" gash and 2/3 of the soup had leaked out. Called the restaurant to notify them of the issue and ask for my $5. They offered to make me new soup because they couldn't offer a refund due to online order. Politely declined and asked to speak with manager, the conversation didn't go well. I tried to explain that yes I understand your policy, but I am displeased because now I have to wash my car seat, launder my jacket and mop the floor (and I still just want to eat the soup :( ). Manager didn't let me get that second part out, spouted off about how it would take 2 weeks to get the money back because eat24 takes 10%, then he said it's not his problem that I dropped it (or made it leak...don't recall verbatim) or was just steam and I lost it. He completely missed the point, wouldn't let me finish on why I was displeased (just kept coming back to why I can't get a refund), blamed ME!! and never acknowledged that there was a problem or potentially an error made or there may have been faulty packaging (you could have blamed a third party, man, and it would have been OK). Disappointed to say the least as the food is pretty nice. It's the principle of the matter that counts so I will not be returning. I apologize to the manager for getting upset and do commend the hostess for her attempts to be helpful and pleasant. I noticed in the owner responses he will likely smear me or tilt the story, I hope this will not be the case. On a positive note, Eat24 customer service was very helpful and understanding, retrieved my $5!

Yelp
I am quickly becoming a regular at the East West Cafe. This is one of those gems that you find and hesitate to share for fear that it will grow extremely popular and lines and waiting will become a thing. I decided that it would be selfish and unfair for me to keep it to myself and a dose of patience might be good for me ;-) So I've only been a few times (this week). The Larb Salad, which is basically a Thai staple is delicious. The first time I had it I didn't think it was quite acidic enough, the next time I ordered it with an extra side of sauce and it was just what I needed. I like a little extra zip. The Khao Soi another classic Thai Dish is delightful, the flavors are balanced and the noodles are perfect, not overcooked and mushy. I've also had the wonton soup, simple, but really soothing; it made for an excellent hangover cure. The thai iced tea is good, but if you aren't familiar let me warn you that it is very sweet. The Pad Kra Pow that was served in a generous portion lathered in a delicious savory sauce, impossible not to enjoy the tender chunks of beef and fresh green beans. The owner is friendly, say hello, he really is a nice guy. They have a hard-working staff and they take pride in their work. The restaurant is small and cozy, but they also do a good amount of take out and delivery. I ordered right from the Yelp site, super easy and convenient; I would totally recommend it. Calling on the phone is a bit challenging as they seem to have difficulty hearing. Ordering through their Yelp page really streamlined the whole process. I'm so excited to have good Thai in Burlington, it is my favorite cuisine and I had just about given up on ever being able to enjoy it in our small city. I could eat the Larb everyday and look forward to working my way through their menu.

Yelp
I ordered Gyoza and Pad See Ew to go. I was told to come back in 10 mins. 10ins go by, I pick up my food, and I believe it's going to great. I was so wrong . The gyoza was underwhelming but the Pad See Ew was terrible . There is NO FLAVOR . It's supposed to at have a slightly sweet taste from the sauce. It tastes as if they just stir fried it in oil and threw pepper on top. I am so disappointed. I don't think I will be returning, at least not for Pad See Ew . .:All The Sighs:. Response to Owner: I ordered to go. Exchanging my food would require me to come back to your restaurant. That is inconvenient, especially since I was already home .

Yelp
Thank you Yelp (again) for steering us in the right direction for good eats in Burlington, Vermont. After a very long day in the car on our way back to Buffalo from Nova Scotia, we set out to get our Thai on in this quaint lakeside college town. I had only passed through Burlington previously, so it was nice to spend a few days in the area this time and get to know the town a little bit. East West definitely had the best Yelp rating for Thai food in Burlington and we were excited to try it. We loved the feel of the place as soon as we arrived - cozy, quiet and very new age granola-y. We expected that vibe from a college town eatery lol If you read my Thai reviews you'll know by now that our go to is always curries. Normally we stick to red and green curries because we love the spice and taste of those curries, but we always jump at the chance to eat mango curry when we see it on the menu. Bam! Mango curry was on the menu at East West and we were excited! The last good mango curry we had was at Saigon Bangkok in Williamsville over a year ago, so were ready to end our dry spell. I've come to learn that the term "medium" spicy is relative to one's own spice experience. There is no standard spice scale that everyone uses, so one person's perception of a "medium" spicy curry can vary wildly from another person's understanding of the same term. It would appear that East West likes to interpret "medium" spicy on the wilder side, which is great if you love spice and your stomach doesn't do somersaults with spicy food. The mango curry with chicken was delicious and SPICY. Big, fresh chunks of mango and chicken were bathed in a smooth, rich coconut sauce. They only had white rice as an option for a side, which I found a bit odd for such a new age-y joint. The curry portion size was substantial and was more than enough for the rice to soak up. The red curry with steamed tofu was also excellent, with silky, tender chunks of tofu dancing in a delicious red curry sauce crammed with fresh, seasonal vegetables including asparagus. Our waiter wasn't sure when we asked if the tofu can be served steamed instead of fried, so he shouted out to the kitchen for answer. No problem at all with getting your tofu steam on! It did take quite a long time for our food to come out (at least 20 minutes) but it was worth the wait. Service was functional, but we did have to ask for our waters to be refilled. It appeared that they do a lot of takeout, so the kitchen was consistently busy despite a relatively empty dining area (which is quite small, but was quiet on a rainy Sunday night). Enjoy East West when you go and stay spicy!

Yelp
This small restaurant packs a big wallop on the taste buds. I've been stationed in the far East and the food here took me right back. Everything is handmade and delicious. I had the special, pumpkin curry. It made my mouth do a happy dance. We also tried their gyozas - also yummy. The have several vegetarian options, so diverse eaters can enjoy almost everything on the menu. Try the drunken noodles, homemade and delicious. We'll be back.

Yelp
Love this place! Great for dining in (BYOB: no corking fee; must show ID), take away, or delivery. I love getting the edamame ($4) and gyoza (4 for $5) to start. Both are excellent and dependably fresh. They have a good selection of soups ($4.95), noodle soups ($8.95-10.85), stir fried dishes (beef, chicken, pork, or tofu $10.95; shrimp +$2), noodles ($8.95-12; choice of protein), fried rice ($11-12), salads ($5-12), and delicious curries ($9.50-12.95). So far I've had the Pad See Ewe noodles (almost too sweet), Pad Thai noodles (perfectly balanced and fresh), and Pad Prik King (very spicy stir fry, but quite delicious with crunchy vegetables). Wonderful selection of sweet, unctuous, and spicy dishes! I haven't tried their desserts yet, but they seem to have some interesting Thai-inspired treats (e.g., ice cream and Thai cookie rolls, Thai style ice cream sandwich, custard and sticky rice; $4-5.50). The dining room fills up fast, so I'd recommend take away if you live in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Yelp
Living in New York, I didn't have high hopes for a flavorful, delicious and healthy Thai vegan food at East West cafe - oh God, I was so wrong. We tried massaman curry, pad thai, fried veggie dumplings and mango sticky rice as dessert. Without fail, all the four dishes were delicious, flavorful, spicy and not greasy at all. The server was very nice and ensured we get the vegan versions of the food we wanted. It's a must to eat at for anyone living or visiting Burlington.

Divya S.

Yelp
Can I give this place 10 stars? The food here was AMAZING. OMG. They had the best papaya salad I've had in the US. I've never had anything like it outside of Bangkok. And their green curry was so authentic, I had to double check I wasn't in my Thai friend's house having her grandmother's version. I later found out that they grind their green curry paste fresh and fry it the traditional way (which makes a huge difference). Definitely glad we found this place on vacation. I want to come back to Vermont again just to eat at this place.

Amanda L.

Yelp
I don't eat meat and there was chicken on my pad thai. Also there was poop still in my shrimp satay, it's not that hard to cut the back open and clean them if ur not going to buy them pre-de-pooped. I ordered late so by the time I got my food home and noticed any issues it was too late to get anything else there or anywhere else. So basically I didn't eat tonight...my pad thai was refunded but honestly I just wanted to eat. I spent $60 and only my son ate!

Heidi C.

Yelp
I've only been here once and I really enjoyed it. The owners are wonderful and helpful. Very sweet and courteous. I heard they used to be the cooks at Tiny Thai. Now it makes sense how the food at Tiny Thai went from great to disappointing (in my opinion) over night. I haven't liked the food at TT for years sadly. This is my new favorite Thai place in the area hands down. Give it a try. Also great for takeout!

Jake R.

Yelp
Updating this to 5 stars - can't remember why I went with 4. Love that they can make pretty much everything gluten free. Tons of flavor and great portions - worth the stop! Food is always great - they are gluten free friendly which is a huge win for me because of my celiac. One of my favorite spots for Thai. Great Thai Dumplings.

Pat L.

Yelp
Solid Thai food with a smaller menu. When extra spicy was asked for she was nervous but gave me some Papaya salad that was reasonably spicy, offering to make it spicier. Green curry was very pleasant and flavorful, she says she makes the curry paste herself from scratch. I've yet to try any of their specialties that aren't on the normal menu, but will come back to give it a shot.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Forgot to take a photo! Was so hungry to dig in their delicious food! Lol. Was on a vacation and was looking for a place to eat! I was craving for Thai food so we looked on yelp on where to go and which one has a lot of good feedbacks. At first when I saw the place I said it might not be good coz it was a little dark outside and kinda small. But whatever Im craving!! Lol. Went inside and ordered Pad Thai and guess what! i love it!!! Pad Prik King was amazing also! People were friendly too! My family loves it too even though it looks like only 15 people could fit in. But whatever food was great and amazing!

Amy K.

Yelp
This is a comparison update. I just tried the Tom Yum Chicken Noodle Soup from Thai Dishes, in Downtown Burlington. The East West Cafe Tom Yum Seafood Noodle Soup was amazing in comparison. I realize one is chicken, and this review was seafood, but the broth at East West Cafe is awesome, and really infuses with other ingredients in the soup. If you want Tom Yum Soup... this is the place!

Harrison T.

Yelp
My go-to is the vegan pad Thai and it is fantastic. My favorite Thai restaurant in the area, hands down.

John E.

Yelp
I don't understand how this Thai restaurant stays open. They don't offer ice with soft drinks. After ordering 2 appetizers and their dinner special, chef refused to serve a half order of rice for my daughter. It was over 78 degrees in the restaurant and the waiter was a jerk. We were also the only people in the restaurant so he started yelling at me "you can get out if your not happy" when he told us no to the rice. He rudely threw the bill on the table when I asked to settle up for the appetizer and soup. Terrible place! First, the waiter actually threw the check on our table like throwing a Frisbee when asked for the check for our soup and appetizer after he refused to prepare a half order of rice. We were his customer and he needed to be corrected. After my daughter paid the check at the counter, he returned to our table again and threw the receipt toward my 125 LB 22 year old daughter. REALLY??? Sure, I threaten the jerk to back off before he pushed me to teach him a much needed lesson. He was more frustrated since we didn't leave him a tip and had 2 parties of takeout customers upset because their orders weren't correct. Lessons this restaurant needs to learn succeed: 1. Provide a reasonable temperature in the 76 degrees or less range so customers can enjoy their meal. 2. Provide friendly clean professional accommodating respectful servers that strive to provide a positive dinning experience. 3. Serve can sodas with ice 4. Be willing to provide a small portion of rice because some customers do not want a $12 entree size when ordering appetizers and soup. 5. Don't be hostile toward customers by slinging customer bills on their table. 6. Remember that your customers are the reason you are in business 7. Provide a clean atmosphere for customers to enjoy. This place is filthy. The owner is full of BS. I wonder why they are closed now?

Rocio A.

Yelp
The past two times here I've gotten spicy basil fried rice, which was not great because it did not have enough seasoning. But this past Monday was the worst food I had. I have eaten pad see ew many times here and in other states and I've never gotten only 3 pieces of broccoli. My roommate only had ONE piece of broccoli. Pad see ew usually is packed with broccoli and it looked very pale, not much seasoning. I was very disappointed because it was 12 dollars, and it looked like it was just dumped on the plate. I don't think I'll be coming here again. The people are nice but the price for the food was not worth it.

Joe H.

Yelp
We came here on our way through town and we were pretty pleased with the food we got, I remember I enjoyed the fried rice with the pineapple and cashews and the place was clean and the person who served us was nice too

Jenna M.

Yelp
Went to this cafe today for the first time. Food was delicious, and fresh. The restaurant was clean, the owner warm and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and provided me with a paper menu for take out since there isn't a digital copy at this time. The only reason I don give it 5 stars is because of the portion size. I'm new to Burlington, but I paid $14 without tax for the meal pictures. Back home in Salt Lake City, I could get twice the amount of food for the same price. Regardless, this isn't going to stop me from going back.

Jason C.

Yelp
I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but my experience here was nothing short of terrible. I had heard great things and several recommendations to check this place out, so perhaps they were just having an off night, but it really put a damper on my weekend trip to Burlington with my fiancée. It was freezing inside the restaurant, granted it was a very cold night. We never took our coats off. Our waitress never asked us if we wanted anything to drink and took our food orders. Two wonton soups, green curry, and the drunken noodles. The soup took at least 45 minutes to come out, but they did appear to be busy with takeout orders (which they appeared to have messed up, one after another). After my fiancée's green curry came out (about an hour after sitting), we waited patiently for my food to arrive (another 20 minutes). Our waitress failed to acknowledge that I hadn't actually gotten any dinner. We inquired only to realize that they had never actually made it. Note: the soup and green chili were actually pretty delicious, but didn't make up for the service. At this point we asked for the check and grabbed food somewhere else in town. Very disappointed, we won't be back.

Jamie G.

Yelp
This food truly tastes of Thailand. My two friends and I were thrilled with our lunch. Folks who don't like a lot of spice, be forewarned and ask the server what to order to suit your palate. We started with gyoza and Thai-style dumplings. I'm allergic to wheat, so the gluten-free pudgy scallion pancake-like dumplings were terrific. Great sauce, unusual texture. The kee mao with beef and chicken red curry were perfectly spiced for us: hot enough that you need to blow your nose, but can still taste all the layers of flavor in the dish. And what layers! The curry especially really knocked it out of the park. Portions are right where they should be: I left feeling full, with just extra sauce for leftovers. Prices seem spot on for the setting, location, and amount of food. I'd still go to Tiny Thai food their fancier dishes, but East West won me over for their curries.

Eric D.

Yelp
Yum yum! East West Cafe was great! Stopped in for dinner tonight and was very happy with everything. We started with the chicken satte which was delicious by itself but was served with a yummy peanut sauce and a sweet and sour sauce as well. For dinner I had the green curry with chicken and it was excellent! The sauce was perfect vegetables were very fresh and it had the perfect level of spice. My girlfriend had the pad kee mao which was also delicious. Prices were very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They don't have a lot of seating so it could be a challenge during the busiest times to sit down. Would love to try again and I would definitely recommend this place to anybody!

Mouse P.

Yelp
Never written a review before, probably wont anytime soon again. I don't do it lightly as I understand that it can really mess with someone's business. The reason I'm doing so is I found a mouse poop on the bottom of my to-go container. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt, mice are known to sneak around. But as I looked closer the container had lots of grease and dust as well, leading me to believe that they clean their space very rarely, if ever. Gross. I really hope for the health of their next customer that it was the bottom of the stack and had never been placed into another new sleeve of containers. On top of the lack of hygiene, $15 seems pretty high for a portion of cheap rice noodles with broth and tofu, not even a single vegetable.

Yelp
QUICK TAKE: Economic, great quality, convenient location, healthy I haven't found any restaurant that offers a dish as nutritional, filling, enjoyable, and cheap, as this restaurant; yet it's right in the heart of Burlington! Started a job in Burlington for the first time -- live in Richmond -- and I've made this shop my go to place for for food in Burlington. I buy a soup called Tom Kha Gai from them, which is only five dollars, and enjoy it immensely as I read my book during my office lunch break. If I feel like treating myself, I'll have some of their iced coffee, which has a pretty unique taste I like. I've been looking to eat healthier and take care of myself over a gap year, and I have to say it is a genuine highlight of my day when I eat there; that I found this affordable cozy restaurant with a healthy yet delicious dish I can enjoy without any common negatives you see elsewhere. In other words: I have nothing bad to say of this place. The foods good, it's healthy, it's affordable, it has variety, it's calm, relaxing, and it's right there at the corner.

Emily B.

Yelp
It was very delish! But, a bit more spicy then I'm used to. I got the Chicken Panang.

Margaret A.

Yelp
Pros: Good service, good food, vegetarian and vegan options Cons: No lunch specials, closed on Sundays, no delivery I like this restaurant but I can't say the food is out of this world, just good. I've enjoyed the soups, papaya salad and curries but the pad thai was nothing special. I do really appreciate that they are very accommodating for vegetarians and vegans. It's worth checking out if you're in the mood for Thai and in the area.

Ron S.

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant in the Burlington area. No joke, I will eat here almost everyday for the foreseeable future (this is my pattern when I love a meal I eat). Thai is my favorite cuisine but I am usually disappointed when I try a new Thai restaurant. Typically, dishes are made too sugary and the spices are not quite right. Not East West Cafe, they don't over sugar their dishes. The peanut sauce is savory, not sweet, and with the spicy kick it should have. The duck curry is just about as good as I have eaten anywhere. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable with most main courses being around the $10-12 range. Bonus: East West Cafe is BYOB!

Morgan S.

Yelp
Happy to have some yummy Thai food close to where I live! We tried two dishes and both were good! The first was a favorite from Tiny Thai, Praram long, which was wonderful! No complaints, just what I had hoped for. The other was the massaman curry, which had great flavor, but personally, I wish it had more veggies! Will definitely be back to try more, and re-try that praram long!

Yelp
Pretty average Thai food. Got Penang Curry and Drunken Noodles. Both were fine not great. Definitely better than Bangkok Bistro but nowhere close to Tiny Thai.

Yelp
Superb, authentic Thai cuisine! This small restaurant is staffed with superior Thai chefs, who produce some of the finest cuisine anywhere. Having recently traveled in Thailand, I can tell you that the food here is better than in most restaurants there. Try the KHAO SOI soup (also spelled Kao Soi), for a rare taste of one of northern Thailand's finest dishes! It always amazes me how few restaurants in the U.S. serve KHAO SOI soup - once you try it, you'll be hooked (and the version at East West Cafe is the best I have had!). Also, the service is friendly and attentive.

Yelp
I've lived right down the street for almost a year and only have ever gotten the Thai iced coffee and tea (which is amazing, highly recommend). However, I went there with my boyfriend and was highly surprised how friendly the owner was and the staff! The place smelt amazing and you could hear them making everything fresh! The pad kre pow was spicy and tasted unique which some places sauces all taste similar--this was a nice surprise. I can't get over how friendly the man working there was, he was genuine and wanted everything to taste great! 10/10 :)

Yelp
This place has the most amazingggg food. I am obsessed with their Khao Soi. You can make things vegetarian/vegan pretty easily (there may be traces of non-vegan ingredients, so make sure to ask about ingredients). But seriously, my boyfriend and I go here at least once a week because their food is that good. They do the best job!

Yelp
The pad Thai look a like was great. It's lighter with more vegetables than other times I've had that dish. Menu is not fully ready due to permits but the staff is very friendly. Great staple on the fringe of downtown.

Yelp
I ordered East West Cafe through DoorDash and was missing an item. East West Cafe was willing to redo my order for me, and even threw in additional items free of charge. The food is amazing and the customer service is as well. 10/10.

Yelp
Delicious food, low prices, friendly staff, compostable and recyclable take out containers, and vegan options. Couldn't ask for more! This will be one of my new favorite spots to eat I'm Burlington.

Yelp
The interior is very basic - almost hole in the wall- but the food more than makes up for it! Great flavors, freshly made, kind service. What more can we ask for?!? During the heat wave, it felt like no AC was on, but the 105 temps are totally to blame. The mango lassi helps with the heat (In your tummy & out)

Yelp
This is in response to the feedback I got from the cafe. Lies??? Why don't you check with your colleague before responding? When my wife called the cafe to provide the feedback, your colleague`s first response was "are you speaking in English?" this was after she spoke 3-4 sentences in "English", then he went on and said I have seen people like you, I know how to deal? For the record my has a maters from UK and another one from USA. Isn't this text book racism??? I am not saying we were charged extra but we got charged for wrong dish, we trusted you that you will provide us the food we ordered but you made us eat the wrong dish and made us feel it was our mistake, made us feel like we are third rate citizens through chain of events. Please know the facts before you respond. If you are already aware of the facts please dont lie to attack our character and discredit our honest review.

Yelp
I had the wonton soup and pad thai. It was the second best wonton soup I've ever had. I'm pretty sure they make their own broth. Pad Thai was great too. I look forward to eating here again. I was tempted to give them 5 stars but since today was the first time I ate there I decided on moderation ;).

Yelp
Randomly stopped in never been and it was delicious and such a fabulous stop. Masaman and chicken satay i had was great. The broccoli was cooked to perfection in the pad ram - peanut sauce was tasty! Had a newborn with us and was accommodating. A+

Yelp
This is an awesome casual restaurant with really friendly and quick service. Can't really understand the negative reviews here. Mango curry is awesome, will recommended to friends.

Yelp
In Burlington for the weekend and was craving Thai food. My friend recommended this Cafe so I placed an online order. I got the pad Thai, drunken noodles, red curry, and papaya salad and loved each dish. While the food was great, I couldnt give 5 stars due to the service. If you place an online order I'd suggest calling in to them to make sure they saw that an online order was placed (tried picking up 30 min after placing the order but they didn't even realize I'd placed an order so it took another half hour. It took them a while to pack a bag with all of the correct orders for me and even accidentally switched some items in my order with someone else's. Overall they were willing to make sure everything was up to order though, and the food was awesome so it was worth the wait.
