Average experience, not a bad place if you are in the area. Craft brewer that also offers a rather large menu of food items, an original that we liked, a classic that was disappointing. The zucchini burger was really original and good ($18). Well executed, the breading captures a nice crunch opposed to the soft bun. On the flip side, I was really disappointed with the burger, probably the worst of the year anywhere. For $26, I got ordinary tasting meat that was also over cooked resulting in a hard and tasteless patty see picture). And you have to pay extra for some obvious trimmings like tomatoes. To be fair in this review, the fries & mayo tasted awesome. Beers are good, nothing to write home about, but they were good and their branding is well thought of, we enjoyed the beers. Overall, a pricey outing for average food and beer. Nothing wrong with the restaurant, I guess we were expecting a lot more for almost $100 of burgers and beers. Underwhelmed.

This Downtown East gem is perfect for craft beer enthusiasts! 🍺 The beer is brewed right in-house, and their menu creatively incorporates American & Italian flavors with beer-infused dishes. What we loved: ✅Beer Flights (CAD 12.5): Try four small pours, including seasonal favorites like "Gimme Some Lovin for the Holidays." Ricotta Gnudi: Light, cheesy dumplings with a perfect balance of sweet and savory. ✅PEI Mussel Bowl: Fresh mussels cooked in beer-infused Michelada tomato sauce, paired with grilled bread. ✅Grilled Bread Trio (CAD 25): Smoky fish spread, ham with green tomato, and roasted eggplant dip—great variety! The space is cozy yet spacious, ideal for casual dinners or catching up with friends over great drinks. They even offer a weekend brunch and a CAD 60 shareable menu for two! 📍 Location: 700 Queen St E, Toronto (steps from Broadview TTC) 🎯 Pro Tip: Make a reservation for dinner—it’s popular for a reason! Warm vibes, delicious beer, and creative dishes make this a go-to spot. Highly recommend!

Popped in here this past Tuesday for a bite and a drink before seeing a show at The Opera House. Our server was super friendly and explained the menus well. We ended up, my partner and I, getting wings for the Thursday special, they do $10 pound of wings and $10 32oz pitcher of beer. I got the gochujang honey butter wings and they were awesome. My partner for the loaded wing nachos. Won’t lie they were a bit dry and could benefit from more sauce, feels like they were overcooked. The special also had a pitcher of beer which was really a great deal and is more than enough for two people to have a pint and a half. We went with their house beer and it was light and refreshing, easy to drink and not too heavy. The atmosphere is lively and spacious. There were televisions playing various sports game and a great music. Overall a really great spot to have a bite and a drink. Good for large groups as they can really accommodate in the space and a great selection of beers. Nice experience!

Google
They have a really great wing night special on Thursdays, $10 pound and $10 pitcher! There’s a wide variety of wings, both saucy or dry rub, the wings are organic and very tasty! The fries are also amazing! The place has a really great vibe, with a spacious bar area which is where I prefer to dine. The staff is so nice and the order came quickly!

Google
I have always enjoyed Eastbound’s beer but more notably is the fact that they have a fantastic chef with a great food menu. We came in for the winterlicious lunch menu and really enjoyed everything.

Google
We loved the size, quality, (and price) of the appetizers. In-house brewery with nice beer, homemade and commercial selection. We had several beer snacks that kind of remind me the "tapas" concept you find in Spain. We loved and highly recommend this pub. Prices are right.

Google
Went for brunch, initially mostly for the drinks, the the brunch menu looked so nice that we stayed for food too, and it didn’t disappoint. 12,50$ for a flight of four beers, and between 16 to 22$ for a main course. The beni was delicious, and same goes for the trout dish. The server was amazing, fast, polite and helpful. The place is nice too, you can but take out cans beer and also eat on the patio during summer ! Will definitely be back!

Google
Came on a Sunday afternoon and was able to get a spot for 5 without waiting. Spacious and good vibes. Staff were really friendly and service was quick. They are known to host a run club on Mondays. We ordered the fries which were good to share and I got the stout on tap. Would recommend and come back.

Yelp
Pumpkin beer season is here & Patchwork Orange( what a brilliant name to remind me of Kubrick) was the one of the yummiest pumpkin beer I had. Took advantage of happy hour and got a pint for $5.50. During happy hour they have two snack items, tortilla chips & dip, toasted corns nuts for $5. We decided to go with special Fish Friday menu and ordered 2 jumbo size haddock chips with fries & slaw to share($24). Overrall I loved they avoid overseasoning evetything( pubfood does not need to be salty all the time). Fish was very decent size and homemade Preserved lemon mayo was excellent. Great thin sliced fries that you did not miss ketchup. We also purchased more canned pumpkin beers(355ml $3.50) to go.

Yelp
MEDIOCRE SERVICE, BELOW PAR SNACKS, AVERAGE BEER! I got off work early one day, so my intention was to start off with beers / snacks myself and continue on with full meal once my partner arrived. Well, things went south and we ended up leaving after just one beer and some snacks. Shortly after I was seated, my server TOLD me to move to another table although the place was almost empty at the time. As a customer, I would have expected them to ASK me first as courtesy (and quite frankly, no one would say no). Since I didn't know their reasoning, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt on this. However, our server then checked on us very frequently (too frequently). Instead of asking if we want to order more drinks, main courses, etc, she kept asking if we want the bill. It was so awkward, as we felt like they wanted us to leave and got their table back so desperately! There were a few more people by then, but still it was only about 10-15% full. As for beers, I had a pint of stout. It's not bad and has the typical characteristics (e.g. coco, coffee, etc), but it didn't "wow" me neither. As for snacks, I ordered Pretzel and the Pickled Veg Plate. The Pretzel was NOT freshly made - it's hard and cold. Then, some pickled veggie literally has an artificial "coughing syrup" taste! By that time, we were so hesitant to even try their main dishes. Thus, we decided to leave and had dinner at a different place.

Yelp
One of the best brewpubs/ gastropubs in the City. They have a nice selection of beers in various styles (all very drinkable and not too hoppy) and a nice kitchen that offers interesting takes on Pub Food. They also do specials like Mussels on Wednesdays and Fish and Chips on Friday. Very affordable for the quality of the food. Funky atmosphere and never too quiet or super loud. Recommended

Yelp
A fantastic late-evening experience. With many nearby bistros and breweries closing kitchens by 21:00 on a weeknight, Eastbound often comes in clutch to keep the bellies full. We were quite late to dine out last week and were thrilled when the staff at Eastbound offered to keep the kitchen open for five extra minutes so we could order food. The team was hospitable, fun, sassy, and prompt. I was thrilled that they even offered oysters - which were totally fantastic - and were complemented with lovely sauces. Our drinks were nice, quick to arrive, and perfect. The booth seats are not always comfortable, but the food and environment are much better than nearby breweries, so I was content. I look forward to returning in the summer to try one of their flights!

Yelp
One of my favourite breweries in the city, and I've yet to have a beer from them that I don't like. Their weekday Happy Hour (12-6PM) is a steal with $5 pints and snacks. They've got some other food deals depending on the day of the week. Be sure to give their pretzel a try!

Yelp
I visited Eastbound Brewing during lockdown and they had great options for take-home beers. Although the LCBO carries Eastbound Brewing Beers, you can get the full selection of their craft beers here in larger packs/cases. Apart from the Craft Beers, their takeout food options were available including burgers, hot dogs and chips/salsa. If you're interested in some swag, they had t-shirts, hats, dog collars and other memorabilia available.

Yelp
I headed down to Eastbound Brewery after work last Tuesday. My original intent was to pick up a Yelp perk. What I didn't expect was making a purchase because I couldn't resist. I got there just before 6 pm. You can't park along Queen Street East until after rush hour (that is, after 6 pm). It's GreenP parking along Queen. Instead, I drove around the block and parked on Thompson Street. Parking there was free for an hour between 8 am and 6 pm. Cool! I walked in and was greeted by a friendly woman. I said that I was picking up my Yelp perk and you could tell by her expressive eyes that she knew what to do. She asked for my name, found it on the list, and said that she'd prepare my goodies. I did some browsing. Deadly! I loved so much of what I saw. You can pick up salsas, beverages, hoodies, hamburger and hot dog buns, dill pickles, corn tortilla chips, and so much more. What caught my attention were the popcorn seasonings. Oh, be still, my heart! I caved and bought a pack. "I found my section," I said to the female staffer, who laughed with me. "I'm so glad!" she exclaimed. She put my two cans of beer in a paper bag, along with my popcorn seasoning. I paid for the extra item with change, which I normally don't have. I tipped her, which she appreciated. The beer is excellent. They were still nicely chilled by the time I got home. I had the backpacker first. It's a blonde ale. I love crisp, bright ales. This one screams love. The graphics on this can were amazing. I had the stone skipper when I got home. It has a stronger in-your-face taste. Although you can make out the fruity-citrusy notes, the pepper dominates at first, and then fades away. It's different. I thought that I would dislike it because I'm not a major pepper fan in beer, but it works nicely. The curry coconut popcorn seasoning was excellent! My popcorn game has been elevated to new gourmet levels. So good! I had an excellent beer and popcorn seasoning experience. I'd come back for snacks. Everything looked so good! I love the grab-pay-go concept for beer and snacks. I will return! (171)

Yelp
Truthfully.... I am not a huge fan of beer. But I am SO GLAD I was a part of this event! Thank you yelp and Eastbound Brewery! The 2 beer were actually really good. Out of the 2, I enjoyed "The Backpacker" more. I posted photos on instagram, and many people commented on the amazing packaging. I actually peeled off the labels from both cans to stick in my journal
google avatar

Yelp
Was lucky to try some of Eastbound brews recently and I loved them! Especially the Backpacker Blonde Ale. The smaller can size is great for hot days so you don't have a tall ball languishing in the sun. I would definitely recommend you try them out!

Yelp
I've had a pretty stressful week and had to wait till the weekend to make my way down to 700 Queen Street E and Eastbound Brewing. With new pandemic measures in effect, takeout was the only option. They serve food here prepared in a kitchen visible upon entering the establishment or ready to go grocery items include beer pickled eggs, olives, or olives. How about some hot sauce or salsa? They sell the chips, granola, bagels, and spices as well. Wine too! You can also purchase company merchandise like winter hats, clothing, dog collars, leash, and beer drinking glasses to name a few things. Had a perk of two complimentary beers; a dry hopped saison called Stone Skipper (6% alc/vol), a blonde ale pegged the Backpacker (5.2% alc/vol). My taste buds voted for the Skipper. I wanted to try an IPA so I picked up four 355ml cans of Saboteur (6% alc/vol) ...very nice taste! BTW, I paid 50 cents for 15 minutes of P street parking on my mobile app. Good thing because I came out to see Parking Enforcement eyeing my vehicle. That would have been a $30 ticket on Sunday, if I did otherwise.

Yelp
Loved the brewery in a laid back neighborhood. I passed by a dog park where a crew was filming a Petsmart commerical. I wonder when it would be legal to drink in the park but they do have a patio (when it is safe to re-open) for some food and drinks. For the Elite Perk, they gave Stone Skipper Dry Hopped Saison and Backpacker Blonde Ale. I also picked up the other two which were Saboteur IPA and Uter Pils German Pilsner. They have a limited selection due to the lockdown but cannot wait to try their other beers. For food, they offer takeout currently including burgers, dogs and salsa. I had other lunch plans so opted not to get food at this time. Definitely, a great place to hangout once COVID is under control. They even have merch to buy.

Yelp
Came by on April 19, the first day of the Yelp Elite Perk event, which also happened to be my birthday. The event provided all invitees on the list with two complimentary beers from Eastbound Brewing. I got the Stone Skipper and Backpacker, a dry hopped saison and blonde ale. Pretty cool graphics on the cans. I glanced at their food menu as I waited for my beer to be bagged. Heard many great things about the food here and items on the menu sounded appetizing. As I was in a rush, I opted to not order anything that day but definitely on my list to try some other beers and food.

Yelp
Very friendly, unpretentious brewery! Female server was particularly very nice. Beer, like many things, is up to your personal taste so there were a couple that I didn't care for namely their Milk Stout & I *think* their Hefenweizen. The Hefe had this weird chemically taste. 4 x 5oz pours were $11. Restaurant itself is actually quite big and deep. So there's plenty of space to move around. Apparently their food is very good too, but I had just had lunch, so I cannot personally vouch for it.
google avatar

Jess L.

Yelp
Friendly staff, welcoming area. This is the place to come by for a quick pickup of beers to go (during pandemic restrictions) and grab a quite bite to go. There's also lots of other non alcoholic drink options along with frozen foods and pastry items to pickup! Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Love the beer can designs and the taste of the beers I had. Def a place to go to for my next round of beers. It'll be a crowd fav for sure!!

Yelp
Located on a busy strip of Queen st, this place to me seems more of a brewpub than a brewery. More focus on food, and the beer helps. The place itself looks nice, too bad no dining. When I walked in, chef was making granola and smelled wonderful. It wont be like that all the time of course. However, I was waiting outside with clear view of the staff and the one patron inside who was just talking to each other. I can be patient, but also impatient at times when clearly there isnt any purchasing being made. Anyways, when I finally got it, beer was clearly shown (less offering than I really hoped), but lots of apparel, some food offerings (like homemade chips). Seems like a nice place to eat.

Yelp
I've been to Eastbound a few times over the past year. Not much to design/decor so you really have to be a beer lover to appreciate what I assume is a healthy offering at Eastbound. We've always had lunch, which is typically not a busy time. The service is good, but at times disruptive with interruptions to conversation amongst the group, where everything stops to attend to focus on the server, whose not deliverying food or drinks? I can live with that. But the pricing is my reason for not giving 5-Stars. Like most things in Toronto, restaurants increased their pricing once the Covid 19 restrictions lifted. Cost increases, yada, yada, yada...I could understand 10-15% to recoup losses, etc. But what about all of us who suffered losses. But, where a burger with fries is now minimum $25, whereas 2020 it was at $15-$16...I recently was there for lunch and 3-beef patties nothing else @$29...In total about 1lb if lucky of beef, which I can get at my butcher @$4.99/lb, and its great butcher quality. I've seen some greedy resto's roll-back their menu prices since the hey days of Summer 2023, cause attendance was down during the Fall/Winter.

Yelp
Wanted to look for a brewery to sit down and work that's not super loud and dim so we decided to come here for some craft beer. It was really spacious bar and seating at the front with the brew space at the back. Our beer selections for the day were, Revealed Constellations -IPA Basecamp El Dorado -APA Baker's Breakfast -Stout Along with some of their craft beer, I had the Eastbound brunch which comes with a toast, avocado, baked potatoes, 2 eggs. My favourite part of the brunch is their toast which tastes like a croissant and their baked potatoes. We were there from 1-3:30 on a saturday, with the busiest time being 1:30-2:30
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Didn't come here for the beer but they had very very good brunch! Walked by and came here on a whim since White Lily Diner down the street was an hour wait (!!). So glad we did because this place is amazing! No wait and the food and service was phenomenal. We ordered a small plate of the pickled stuff (the pickled strawberries were excellent!), eggs benny with kale and smoked salmon (THE BEST!!), and a sort of vegetarian bean stew with an egg and pita, which was also spectacular - very hearty and tasty. Ohh and they have great spicy ceasars! Will definitely be coming here again!

Yelp
Riverdale is now starting to grow on me. I find myself visiting this hood more often these days and I was with a friend that wanted to go to Eastbound Brewing so we did. This place is not far from the intersection of Queen and Broadview, very close to my favorite Korean fried chicken joint in town (Kaboom). While Eastbound has a really good looking selection of menu items and after looking at the photos some looked very tempting but we were just looking for a beer before eating dinner near the Distillery District so we were saving our plans for that. So just in for a quick drink... not a bad selection of beer I have to say and they even gave guest taps such as GLB. Still, it was my first time here so I wanted to try some of the house stuff so I went with their APA and my friend went with a saison. Sitting at the bar we were able to watch this place do their thing. 32 ounce growlers were being labelled right at the bar and being placed into the fridge right in front of us. It was sort of a busy place and we were able to absorb a little of the action. With so many independent micro breweries popping up this is yet another one to not just drink but also dine at. The ambiance is nice and it has a feeling of the kind of place I'd like to hang out in regularly if I lived in the neighborhood. The APA had a nice taste, clean and a bit milder on the hops and not very bitter. It was rather refreshing for a quick stop and a nice cold drink on a rather warm day. The servers seemed friendly and attentive even though they were pretty busy.

Yelp
$5 a pint for any draft on Tuesdays?! Sweet! Eastbound Brewing has this nice casual vibe. Fun to drop by for a drink alone or with a friend or 2. The selection of beer brewed in house was limited during our visit but there are also a few crafted beer from other local breweries. We were at the bar while the staff was labelling and stocking their fridge with beers right off the line. Those 32 oz crowlers is one of the biggest can of beers I seen for $9. Service was attentive and we were checking on numerous of times. Highly recommended. Drop by next time when you are in the neighbourhood!

Yelp
Stopped by Eastbound Brewing Co. to pick up my beers as part of the Yelp Elite event today. The process was seamless and Covid-19 safety measures were in place. They're open for takeout only but they have some pretty cool things available for takeout like General Assembly pizzas and beer pickled eggs. I was also tempted to pick up a T-shirt but gave myself a reason to head back to Leslieville. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A few weeks back my wife and I were in the east end and wanted to grab brunch somewhere. Eastbound was busy so we gave it a shot. As soon as I saw fried chicken with some kind of pancakes I knew what I was ordering but everything on the menu sounded really good. The chicken was delicious and I thought I'd walk out feeling like wtf did I just do to myself but the portion was just right. My wife had the bowl which came with a pickled egg. She was less of a fan though I thought it wasn't too bad but my dish stole the show. They have some tasty beers also though I find them a bit pricey to get to go but worth having one while you are there. Really nice atmosphere, service was great and can't really say anything negative. We've been a few times now and are never disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Queen east, riverside area has really changed. Appears mostly for the good!! Lots of modern restaurants, shops, used to be kind of dumpy. This was a great brewery, after getting treated like SHIT at tattoo supply shop, this was appreciated. People can still be nice!???!! It was loud, and who brings a baby!? Screaming. Awful.
google avatar

Lindsay K.

Yelp
Lots of great beers here! We did flights and tried all the beers on the menu. My favourite was the saison and the porter. We also had the chocolate mousse for dessert which was topped with an amazing salted whipped cream. Service was prompt and friendly, and interior is nice and spacious with high ceilings. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
***new challenger approaching*** a friend of mine was visiting from buffalo for a concert and wanted to visit a restaurant just down from this brewery, for whatever reason it lined up where we came to this brewery instead. upon entering we were greeted without even getting the second step in the door which was super impressive to say the least. we were asked where we would like to sit, and one of my friends asked for the window seat. this menu is a bit overwhelming, from a food standpoint and a beer standpoint, lots of options from both menus, to the point where "we" needed extra time to pick out from both menus, but maybe we were just distracted in catching up. my friend ordered a SMASH IPA, and I've never heard of that in my life. I picked the delicious and orgasmic jerk chicken wings, which I am to understand is a summer special item, and I went with the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich for the main course with herbed fries and some pickled veggies and a aioli sauce that was packed full of garlic. duncan took our collective orders and ran away for a bit, I could tell very much that he enjoys his job, as he is a happy go lucky dude with a great soul. the energy of this place is infectious from the front of the house to the back, some really great vibes and energy. my chicken wings came up first and the flavors literally put me into a different world all together, strong and fresh would be how I would label these wings with that flavoring, just so good, and honestly the portion size was perfect as well and did I mention the heat, the heat was perfect as well, more flavor then spice but yeah, killer way to start the meal. within about a minute of the wings being finished the plate was gone, my friend ordered more beer and some mussels as well. when my chicken sandwich came I was a bit taken back by the spread that was in front of me, the portion size was excellent at the very least, so I proceeded to take my photos and then chow down. everything on this plate was a win, from the fries, to the pickled veggies, to the sandwich and the dip. a complete home run. im not sure if this place does dessert or not, sorry to say. the service was outstanding and duncan brought things to a new level providing some of the best service in toronto for sure. the restaurant has street parking in front and is serviced by the TTC 501 queen, the 502 downtowner(limited service), the 503 kingston road(limited service), and the 504B(broadview to dufferin gate) king streetcars. this place is easily in my top ten now, from the food flavors, the service and the outstanding drink selection, something is here for everyone, that's for sure, cant wait to come back!

Yelp
Say at the bar, cause the cool kids do that. They opened 6 days ago and they have their sh*t together. A nice selection of beer, and the nibblies are inspired. This is before they offer their own beers, apparently a week or so away. Home made pretzel is great, but nothing compared to the home made mustard that comes with. A funky space, a great location. Git out thar and support you'll be happy you did.

Yelp
My new local! Finally we have a cool brewery in the hood. This brewery is a welcomed addition to the neighbourhood. The design is modern & comfortable. The staff was friendly , knowledgable and genuine. They give you the feeling they are proud to be apart of the neighbourhood and will be a great local. The food is amazing! Try the ribs , you will be back again. I wanted to try the fried olives .. (next time) Now for the main attraction---- the BEER! Unfortunately they don't have EastBound beer on tap yet but they had a lot of great local craft beer. They suggested all the beers we had by the way. I can't wait till hey start serving EastBound beer! Definitely will be back again and again!
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
It's a nice vibe at Eastbound Brewing. They got a great selection of their own craft beer along with other local craft beer too. From the Eastbound sampler flight that I tasted, I enjoyed their Hidden Lake hefeweizen the most. It was great for a summer's day. Mmmmmmm. Though they don't have a proper food menu at Eastbound during the afternoon but they offer a selection of snacks to accompany the drinks. The decor is attractive and you can see all the stills and equipment in the back isn't just for show. The place had a nice buzz and service was mostly quick.

Yelp
Perhaps I had low expectations for a brewery as I'm not a fan of beer but this place has great food and a cider on tap. I've tried their fish and chips special on a Friday and at first, everything looked a little over done but the fish was fine and the tartar sauce was really good, the fries however, were slightly overdone, it also came with a small serving of slaw. What was weird is how mild their malt vinegar was, I felt like I was drenching my food in it. I've also been here for brunch and had their avocado toast salad (minus the toast aka croutons) with added beer can chicken and it was really good, refreshing, and filling, my partner despised it because there's lots of dill in the dressing. My partner tried their fork and knife fried chicken sandwich that came with pancakes as the bun with egg and cheese and he didn't love it, I tried a bit and it was good to me, but the portion was slightly underwhelming. Overall, I would come back and try some more food dishes, and perhaps there'll be a new cider to try.

Yelp
This place is spacious and sleek with a pretty good beer selection. I had their holiday beer which was a little spicy and packed a punch alcohol-wise. My boyfriend loved their chocolate oatmeal stout. You can drink there or take cans to go. The service was really good. 80's music was blastin away which, depending on if it's your thing, could be a positive or a negative. They also had some board games available to play which was a cute touch. I'd definitely pass by again if I was in the Riverdale area.

Yelp
Approachable and well made beers (nothing too crazy or offensive on the menu). Nice, clean, bright interiors with a relatively spacious seating area for tables. Attentive and professional servers. Basically, it's the type of brewery you can take your mom to, and not feeling surrounded by hipsters or the need to yell to hear each other to have a conversation. We had a couple flights and then bought some cans to go. If near the Queen and Broadview area, it's worth a stop.
google avatar

Charles Y.

Yelp
Good service but the beer I tried wasn't to my liking. Our party split 2 flights of their beer and none were particularly good. We also had a soft pretzel which was quite over priced at $9 for 1. It was decent with it's included mustard seeds but for $9 I expect a little more in quality or quantity.

Yelp
What a great surprise! We went to have brunch at a place down the street- that had a 45 minute wait! We walked into Eastbound and were greeted promptly, seated immediately and had a great lunch. Chicken sandwich for me, and Eastbound's take on French onion soup for my wife. Great food, with real attention to detail- fresh and super soft Fred's breads bun, fresh herbs chopped up to toss the fries in, and house made pickles on the side. Very friendly staff, clean place- and lots of on tap choices- will definitely be going back!

Yelp
I loved this place initially because, on most nights, I can purchase beer-to-go until 11pm. I love trying new types of cleverly-named+packaged brews that stock their front fridge. But, a couple of nights ago, I finally gave in to a debilitating shellfish craving and ordered a mussel bowl to-go with my beer-to-go. It was around 10:30PM but the staff members were genuinely accommodating and friendly. Since I had to wait for the.kitchen to cook me up a fresh batch :) I grabbed a bar stool and ordered up a gin.Caesar while waiting (Breakfast of Champions...yeah, I'm a night owl). Even though I'd just rolled outta bed and looked like hell in.a stained dress, ripped coat, true bed-head, and raccoon-eye chic, I was treated with care, respect, and congeniality. The Caesar is worth the price. It was built with care, and deliciously garnished. Those spicy pickled yellow beans are wow. Wow. As for the mussels, I thought I'd need to stop elsewhere for more food to fill out my meal. I was handed a big.container of mussels in broth along with a foil-wrapped+piping-hot artisanal bun that had been roasted with cheese, slivered onions, and herbs/spices....I guess to sop up the broth. Let's just say that the aroma convinced one of my roomies to try his first mussel ever, and that I passed out full until 245AM after not even an entire beer. Mmmm stomach cozy satisfied sleep. I'm thinking of trying the Sunday oyster special. I've never had them except canned and smoked but wasn't a fan. But with the warmth I felt from the staff during especially my last visit, I'm hoping someone will walk me through the process. And pat me on the back for trying even if I discover that I hate oyster. Totally non-creepy vibe there, BTW, all you single Ladies. A great place to take yourself out solo for a "Love Myself" date.

Yelp
We came for their first Saturday and I'm struggling to find adjectives for "awesome". They'll be brewing their own beer in the next few weeks so I won't review beverages. Great temp selection of brews for now. Regarding food: we ordered the pretzel, chicken-fried calamari, and rapini salad as small plates, and shared the lamb meatball sandwich. From a portion perspective, it's more than enough for two. Pretzel: perfectly chewy, comes with wonderful house-made butter and a great honey mustard (it packs a punch, not to be taken lightly). Calamari: you know rubber? You know how calamari so often tastes like rubber? This is NOT that. This is the opposite of that. Perfectly tender inside, crispy on the outside. Deserves accolades. Rapini salad: this has the texture you wish all your salads had. It's got a great crunch and perfectly balanced out our otherwise heavy meal. Lamb meatball sandwich: lots of strong flavours. Recommend. Lemon tart: to be clear, we did not need more food at this point... BUT IT WAS SO GOOOOOOOOD. Shout out to our server, Andrew: very attentive service. We felt super welcomed and taken care of throughout our meal. This is not a restaurant that's struggling with process or keeping up with demand. I'll update the review if things change. So far: A+++++.

Yelp
Eastbound is a modern brewery and bar spot. I came here to get drinks with some friends. They have a decent selection of German beers. They also sell bar snack food and full on meals. They had a TV showing the Sharks game. Was a pretty ordinary bar, would come back if I was in the area. Service was very attentive and friendly. The bar is pretty modern, with both a bar and a multitude of tables against the wall for dining. Ordered Hidden Lake Hef - Pretty clean crisp hef with "slight notes of banana and clove"

Yelp
I love this spot. The east end is getting better and better! I think the best way to describe this place is somewhere in between fine dining and a pub. You get some really inspired dishes and good eats, at a reasonable price. The owners are really nice and the chef has a great instagram. They change things up frequently and they're always evolving. They even have a running club for the community Good job guys and looking forward to seeing what you think up next.

Yelp
Been 3 times now since opening so time to review. Oysters are incredible and super fresh. Had 1/2 dozen both times. Frites are very tasty. Had twice as well. Chicken wings were undercooked and super hard to eat as they are the whole wing. Not a fan. Had the octopus as well and was not bad. Hoping they add more food soon that includes dietary restrictions like dairy and gluten free. And I know it's a brewery, but they need to improve the wine selection. Red or white is not a selection... will be back once the menu gets updated. Updated - had our member Xmas party here for around 30 people with custom menu and everything was wonderful. They've also added a sparkling wine to the list which is nice and dry.

Yelp
Beer is on the heavy side, with some creative highlights and priced about right. Little disappointed by the latest wheat beer selection but you can't win them all.

Yelp
I really wanted to give these guys a full 5. Ambiance was 5. Food was 5. Service was lacking. Some of the staff seem like they don't want to be there. space is lacking on busy nights. Would be more efficient to have high top tables at the back of the resto.

Yelp
I really liked this place. A nice spot with some games to play on the side as well. I really enjoyed the beers and I thought the chicken sausages and the buffalo chicken on top of the mini pancakes were delish!

Yelp
You gotta try this place out. BeerLeague showed up for our Monday nighter. Great tour by Dave and Jessica was fabulous to our gang. Try the flights if you don't intend to 'pint' your way thru the whole menu over many nights. Ambiance is great and for sure we will include this again later in the 'saison'.

Yelp
Had brunch here. Excellent service. Positive and cheerful staff. Had an insanely tasty chicken sandwich on maple bacon pancakes. Beer flight highlighted by the Dashboard Hula - bought a six pack to go! Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighbourhood! I've been meaning for quite a while to come check out this place and finally last night I had my chance. It is quite lovely inside. In fact, it looks and feels a lot more high end once inside than it does from the street. It was a Friday night around 8, so the place was jumping and therefore loud, but still possible to have a conversation. My friend ordered their herb fries ($7) and they arrived to our table super fast. They were really good and a very healthy portion for that price point. We both had their cider on tap which was honestly the most odd cider I have ever had! It tasted like a radler, in this case very citrus and hoppy. After being assured by our server that it was, in fact, a cider and gluten free (an issue for my friend), we got into it and really enjoyed it. So, I would come back here for sure for a meal as the menu looked great, the prices seemed reasonable, and the service was very good based on our visit.

Yelp
Not long ago I posted a review on a west end brewery that is highly overrated. Instead, go to the EAST END and go to Eastbound! Admittedly, as a vegetarian the food menu is a joke. It's essentially not for vegetarians except for some expensive pickles? But their beer is top notch! Good variety of in house brews and some partnered brews that are brought in as well.

Yelp
Great food! And good beer. Where's my dessert though?! No dessert menu yet. Mussels were fresh. Will be back.

Yelp
I really like this place. The star here is the beer though, which they always have their staples as well as amazing seasonal drinks on tap. The food is pretty good. I've only had dinner here twice and it was decent but once we came for brunch and it was unreal. It was a fried chicken and pancake dish that had pieces of bacon inside the pancake. Really one of the best breakfasts I've had and the portion was just enough that I didn't hate myself after.
