Eastside Massage Therapy

I have been to Eastside Massage various times because I’m a professional dancer and I need to maintain an excellent range of motion. The environment is very clean and I love their private treatment rooms. The therapists are all NY state licensed which makes me feel comfortable. Extremely professional and GREAT massages every time! I am dancing with greater ease than I ever thought possible! This place is a gem in the heart of the upper east side and I highly recommend them!

Katy is truly exceptional at what she does. From the moment the session began, she was attentive and intentional, making sure I was warm, properly covered, and completely comfortable at all times. She consistently checked in about the pressure and adjusted seamlessly. At one point it genuinely felt like she had ten hands working at once with how thorough and skilled her technique was. Her myofascial release work was intense in the best way, deep and effective without ever being painful. She worked out knots I didn’t even know I had. Beyond the physical relief, she also provided thoughtful insight into why I was feeling certain areas of tension and gave me practical advice on improving my posture and sleep habits to prevent future pain. With over 20 years of experience, it absolutely shows. Katy is knowledgeable, intuitive, and incredibly skilled. I left feeling better, lighter, and more aligned than I have in a long time. Highly recommend.

I showed up on time for my 1 hr appt, and the massage therapist only did 45 min. I am not confrontational and didn't say anything when she just stopped. But when a massage is so expensive compared to other places, I don't expect it to just get cut 15 min. The massage and place itself was fine.

Brianna was very knowledgeable about my headaches and applied the perfect amount of pressure on my neck, back and head. She also kept checking in with me if I needed more or less pressure. The place is very calm, clean and so are the rooms. Staff is very friendly.

Been here two separate occasions and had the most amazing experiences. Chloe and Ana Maria are very talented and intuitive when it comes to their craft! I’d highly recommend them!! Front desk staff is friendly and the location is very clean.

I’ve been a long-time client here solely because of OLGA! Her knowledge of the human body is incredible — she doesn’t just massage, she understands how everything connects and functions. Her deep tissue work is the best I’ve ever had: strong, precise, and actually effective, not just temporary relief. I always leave feeling lighter, looser, and completely reset. A true expert.

As soon as you walk into Eastside Massage you feel a relaxed vibe. It's quaint, yet still transports you away from the hustle and bustle of city life. My massage therapist, Esmeralda, has magically healing hands and puts love and gratitude into her touch energy. She made me wonder why I'm not getting a massage more often. The experience certainly changes you - for the better. It truly is body therapy. I took advantage of a 2 year old gift certificate from my niece and scheduled a 90 minute Swedish massage. Hint, hint, they never expire. Esmeralda was so skillful, offering up gentle and rhythmic strokes and deepening hand and elbow pressure when working out my knots and kinks! We had minimal conversation, because I like it like that. But Esmeralda did offer words of encouragement, support and hope when I shared one of the stressors that I've been dealing with - the cause for knots in my neck and shoulders. She was caring from her heart and through her hands. And I needed that. I'll be back. This place is such an Upper East Side treasure. And smile at the pic of Jennifer Hudson in the lobby! You'll get 5 Star treatment too!

I had a wonderful massage with Kelly, she relieved all the tension in my neck and shoulders from sitting at a desk most days. Kelly listened to my needs and delivered exactly what I wanted. The massage business was very clean and had an inviting atmosphere that will definitely bring me back again!

Heylen was amazing! I felt so much better when my hour was up....although I would've loved to stay longer!

Peter was incredible! He released tension in muscles I didn't even realize were tight, and took the time to explain how that tightness could affect my body long-term. His pressure was spot-on-firm enough to be effective, but still completely relaxing. One of the best massages l've ever had!

Almost hesitant to write a review because it's one of my all time favorite hidden gems of NYC. Nicole is one of the best deep tissue massage therapists ever! She is so in tune to the body and so quickly finds the trigger points. She is so amazing and skilled at working hard on them to release them. She is very firm yet also gentle, and never talks through out the session. The entire facility is always very kind, professional and warm and welcome! Highly, highly recommend!

As a novice in the massage world, I was really happy with my 60 min massage. The facility is sort of hidden with all the scaffolding. Upon entering the reception area, the staff is friendly and the facility is really quiet and clean. From my observations, looks like a lot of regulars attend. I would definitely come back.

I had a fantastic massage and I booked my next massage for longer right after. It's a calm environment and the room was very cozy with a heated bed. I also liked the massage lotion, it felt more like a balm and was unscented. A really relaxing experience, cannot wait for my next massage!

Nicole was amazing. You can tell she's extremely knowledgeable about the work she does and she answered all my questions in a kind and thoughtful way. The place was clean and quiet. The receptionist was sweet and professional. I can't wait to go back for my next massage. Worth every penny.

My husband and I have been going to Eastside Massage for several years and it's always been a great experience. I was really impressed with my most recent session when the massage therapist looked at my appointment history and saw that I had come for a prenatal massage a couple years ago and deduced that I must have a toddler that I have to pick up. That attention detail is so appreciated and made me feel well taken care of.

I suffer with Occipital neuralgia. I have head, neck and back pain. I scheduled a "headache massage" my therapist Nicole was awesome. Not only was my massage wonderful, she gave me recommendations to help with my chronic pain. I will be back, hopefully once a month. Thank you Nicole!!

Kimberly was an amazing massage therapist and helped immensely with my pain. She worked on every sore & spasming muscle I have & I left feeling a huge amount of relief! I also appreciated the massage therapists wearing masks for protection as a lot of my pain is a result of long covid. (For those not wearing masks-they are optional. I personally appreciated the extra care) Will definitely be back!

Anastasia at the front desk is amazing. She was very accommodating when I was late, and sent me back my necklace via mail (!) in a very thoughtful package (!) My massage was great too. But the service at this spot is pretty rare!

It is consistently the Best in NYC that I've gone to for the past 25 years!! The environment is Serene and Quiet and Very Clean and every Masseuse is Excellent ! The price is reasonable and they offer a full service menu of many different types if treatment's. The staff is top notch in booking appointments and ensuring you get what you need!

I had a great experience for my first time today at Eastside Massage Therapy. I don't often get massages, saving them for special occasions and I'm so glad that I booked my appointment with Gigi today. She was absolutely phenomenal, making sure to check in during the session if I was comfortable, and if she was applying the right pressures to my sore spots. I had the 1 hour therapeutic session and would highly recommend this business and Gigi to anyone!

From the return phone call, the demeanor of Robin and the fluidity of booking, my massage was a fabulous experience. Everyone wore masks, hand sanitizer everywhere (even the pens were sanitized!) The center is clean and the level of professionalism is stellar. My massage therapist Karine took me in a few minutes early so as not to cut into massage time, and proceeded to ask all the right questions. During the massage she answered when spoken to and remained quiet when needed; just perfect. The table was heated to perfection! I will definitely be returning as well as recommending to my husband and friends. Pro establishment.

Eastside massage is really wonderful. So glad I discovered it - I especially liked working with Sepali for prenatal massages throughout my pregnancy! She's so great. Facilities are basic and very well kept/clean.

I received an excellent 90 minute deep tissue massage treatment from Olga. Thoroughly professional in every way. Great communication with me on everything from environment to pressure. I'd recommend Olga to anyone in search of a high quality massage treatment.

I recently went to East Side Massage Therapy and had an amazing experience. My therapist Kimberly was very skilled and professional. I left feeling so relaxed and pain free. The facility is very nice and comfortable. I highly recommend anyone looking for a massage to go to East Side Massage Therapy!

I have been going to this place for over 10 years used to love it until recently. I have always seen the masseuse Joe. Recently, Joe left and they will not tell me where he is now, his last name or his phone number. I understand that there is reason for privacy but I find this extremely rude. They care more about keeping me as a client than helping one of their former employees. These masseuses rely on their clientele to support their lifestyle and by not allowing me to contact Joe directly makes me think very differently of this business. If anyone knows where Joe is or how to contact him, it would be greatly appreciated.

This is my second attempt to post a review about the excellent experiences I have received at Eastside Massage. The place itself is clean and orderly and the massages I have had have been really good. I have felt confident in recommending this place to others and always got positive feedback. I've had massages from several massage therapists and while all were egood Jasmine was particularly thoughtful in recommending movements to help me deal with a chronic frozen shoulder. Also useful is the fact that the place is open 7 days a week and so convenient for getting an appointment.

When I tell you a 1-hour massage is such a tease...it really is. My upper back and neck was hurting really bad and I finally made an appointment to be able to have some relief and it was well worth it. Jennifer was able to work on my problem areas on my back and I left feeling like a new person. Also, the location is really clean and quiet, I enjoyed that a lot!!

Great massages! Would recommend their Swedish and therapeutic massages. Referred my husband here for his stress relief and marathon training. 5/5 for actual massages; loses 1 point because if you get one of the two rooms near the front you can often hear reception/people talking and that's happened more than once. I also found masseuses I liked a lot and some I've been able to rebook, and others have left or work limited schedules.

Super cozy rooms and great massage therapists. I've used several therapists and can honestly say I have never had a bad massage here! I've mostly done deep tissue but I have also lymphatic drainage massages here as well and they are life changing!

I received a gift certificate for a 90 minute massage that included the tip, and I will never go back again. I requested deep tissue and it was not, I requested work on my lower back and that was not addressed either. When I flipped over I could see the person performing the massage was sleeping. She would just put her hand on my arm without massaging and sleep. In addition no one ever asked me how the massage was. With so many great places on the Upper East Side to get a massage I would not go here.

Went for a massage with my sister, and not only had a good time but my back feels so much better after my visit. The location is small, clean and calming. My massage therapist, Ana was respectful and kind, she made sure to ask me about my back injury and walked me through what I can do to keep my mussels loose after the massage. I will definitely be returning.

Love this place!! Been coming for massages for 10 years. Always a great experience from the customer service of the receptionists to the expertise of the massage therapists. Clean relaxing and covid conscious. Don't know what I would have done, had they not reopened after quarantine. Can't recommend enough!!

I had an excellent experience at Eastside Massage! I booked a sports massage with Sepali, and she exceeded my expectations - one of the best massages I've received in A WHILE. The receptionist was also very kind and helpful. I'll definitely be returning soon.

This place does not disappoint. Nathalie is amazing! She's very strong and knows just how to get all of my stubborn knots without being painful. It's deeply relaxing and therapeutic!!!

Let me start by saying, I have gone a few times over the years and my experiences have been great. This time around, It was certainly not the same level of service I've received in the past. I got a deep tissue massage from Kimberly and it was mediocre at best. It certainly wasn't worth what I paid. She just rubbed my back for 50 minutes with hot oil and did the bare minimum. Note I didn't even get a full hour. I left thinking that maybe I should give it a few days to fully feel the effects of the massage but after almost a week, I'm here to say that my back hurts more than it did before my massage. I'd say def give this place a try but steer clear of Kimberly. The facilities and staff are great and the covid protocols made me feel taken care of but that alone cannot justify the price tag of a horrible massage.

I love East Side Massage here in NYC. I have been going there for many years. Everyone that I have gone to here has been professional and I have to say, pretty amazing. I had not been there in a while and I tried someone new (for me). I could not believe how beyond awesome Karine was. I felt as though there was a machine (at times) working on me. I had severe hip and glue pain and Karine worked so hard to help me. Well, she did! 2 days later, my pain was pretty much gone. Not only was she helpful, but she was so caring, and very knowledgeable. I can not wait to go back to Karine!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I've been coming for about a year and have always had a great massage. However, Julie is a magician and truly an expert in therapy. Seeing her after 6 months of no massage due to COVID, was just what my poor muscles needed. If you need a massage and live on the UES or really anywhere in Manhattan, I highly recommend this crew.

Just across the street from me, great massages and both times I was completely satisfied. My only complaint is I told them the 1st time my GF I went that I saw the Yelp Discount Special and they never honored, went in this morning and was told they'd honor when I came in and they didn't! A little bummed by that.

Second time coming here and I always feel better when I leave. I really appreciate there COVID protocols. Dayana is amazing and I will definitely be a consistent customer.

I've visited Eastside Massage Therapy multiple times and have left feeling amazing every time. My last visit with Addie was great, she was thorough, and made sure I was comfortable while explaining to me what I needed to help my chronic back pain. The other massage therapists I've worked with there are all so knowledgeable and kind. They also have a mask requirement and temperature screening which I appreciate immensely. Looking forward to my next visit!
