Eat Me: Vibrant Vibes and Innovative Bites, But Let Down by Slow Service Eat Me is a bustling and vibrant spot, perfect for after-work drinks paired with creative small plates. The setting is beautiful, lively, and full of energy—an ideal place to unwind and socialize. The cocktails were a highlight—skillfully crafted, varied, and well-balanced. The small bites were equally impressive, showing a clear level of culinary creativity and quality. Standouts included the Indian-style octopus and the lamb dish, both full of flavor and originality. However, despite the high quality, we felt the pricing was steep for the portion sizes and overall offering. What really impacted our experience, though, was the unacceptably slow service. At a table of eight people, ordering two dishes each, the plates were brought out one or two at a time every 20 minutes—making the meal feel disjointed and frustrating. This was especially disappointing considering it was a Thursday night with only around 20–30 guests in a venue that could easily accommodate 150–200 people. In summary, Eat Me delivers in terms of ambiance, drinks, and food creativity, but the value and service execution need serious improvement to match the hype and pricing.

Came here on several occasions since we live in the city and always had and excellent dinner. Love the concept of the menu and seasonally it changes. Service is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Amazing experience. I have to admit we were a bit of a pain bc we didn’t like outside seating due to rain, then got sat next to a loud kid, but the manager was super accommodating and found us a nice seat of up front that was super comfortable and we could talk. The food was top notch and fit the American pallet very well. If you are traveling from oversees you are 100% going to want to check this place out. Cocktails were also very top notch and enjoyed the Chardonnay. Not too sweet, with an oaky flavor. Really enjoyed it. They were also able to accommodate my wife who is pregnant and also gluten free.

Eat Me Restaurant in Lausanne is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly delicious, and every bite was pure enjoyment. The menu offers a fantastic selection of small plates, each prepared with great attention to detail – real showstoppers! The atmosphere was equally inviting, and the presentation of the dishes was simply beautiful. A must-visit for anyone who loves to experience culinary adventures. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

So so recommended! We didn’t book online and although it said that it was full, we were able to sit inside and outside. Outside gets chilly and inside it is so well decorated. The entire concept of the 4 world regions is so original and the food is very yummy. They bring you the food as it’s ready and they are so quick. We ordered many dishes and we felt full afterwards. We didn’t try any drink but they looked so appealing. We will be back. Definitely - Worth trying it!

It’s an interesting concept of dining, where we can try different country’s signature flavors. The portion size is almost like an appetizer, so we can easily devour 2-3 menus. They don’t serve the whole table’s order in one go, so if your orders are delivered earlier you might want to eat slowly to stay munching with your friends until the end😁 My favorite from the night was the octopus with crispy risotto. and will definitely come back to try the other menus.

Just to disclose, I used to love this restaurant, but this recent experience completely changed my perception. I've visited three times before and never experienced anything like this. Unfortunately, this visit was unacceptable. I had booked a table for eight people on a Tuesday night. Initially, everything seemed perfect as my friends and I arrived and were seated. The first issue arose during the cocktail stage of our dinner. Four out of the eight of us ordered cocktails, but only three were served. The waitress acted oddly and simply told my friend, "there's no more of ___," before walking away for 20 minutes. When she finally returned, she asked if my friend wanted to consider another option. We asked for the cocktail menu and waited. Even after placing our food orders, the waitress returned to ask if we had ordered the cocktail yet—despite us still not having received the menu. It took an unusually long time before we finally got it. The second issue was that we didn’t have full sets of cutlery at each seat. We had to request two complete sets for the seats that were otherwise ready for service. The third and most significant problem was the food. There’s no debate that Eat Me Lausanne delivers on flavor, but this time, nothing arrived at the same time. As a group of eight, we expected it might be a bit complicated, so the waitress suggested we order one dish at a time. We each ordered one dish (the portions are small, and the restaurant typically recommends 2–4 dishes per person). Waiting for these single dishes was frustrating. One friend received her plate so early that she finished before the next dish was served. The dishes arrived in staggered intervals of 15–30 minutes, and one of my friends didn’t get her food until everyone else was already done. She waited over an hour and a half for a tiny portion. Upset, we asked for the check and informed the waiter of the issue. His reaction was unprofessional, insisting that it wasn't his table and questioning whether it truly took that long. This response was frustrating. We had planned on ordering 2–3 courses each, but due to the poor service and lack of time management, we left after just one small dish and a cocktail. Only after paying did he offer us compensation in the form of complimentary dessert or coffee, but by that point, we just wanted a proper meal. We politely declined and left the restaurant feeling hungry, frustrated, and deeply unsatisfied. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing, especially as a long-time fan of this restaurant and its concept. I would still recommend it for groups of up to three people, but it’s clear they are not equipped to handle larger parties, even if they accept reservations for them.

Yelp
My daughter and I ate lunch there twice. The world foods on small plates is a great concept. We were able to experience foods from far flung places. The wines were good as well.

Yelp
The small plates offered were bursting with taste and showcased the best of international cuisine. The lamb, chimichurri salmon, raw Barada tacos, and squid were particularly exceptional, each dish delivering an explosion of flavors. While the prices leaned towards the higher side, the remarkable taste experience made it worthwhile. Around the World Restaurant is a must-visit for flavor enthusiasts looking to indulge in an international culinary adventure.

Yelp
I liked Eat Me, and they catered to our larger party effectively enough, but poor service and some hit or miss dishes made it a meh for me. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? I'll be very upfront in saying that the service at Eat Me is poor - full stop. Maybe we just got a cranky server who was tired of catering to tourists, but he was exceptionally rude, sluggish, and all in all just acted as though he didn't want to be there full stop. No Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Eat Me is expensive, and it's tapas so they've conned you into spending even more money for less food that needs to be split among a larger group of people. Fine. Having said that, by Swiss standards it wasn't insane and some of the portions (the Indian dish for example) were more generous than others. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Some of these dishes were excellent. The short rib, the chicken curry dish, and the buratta certainly stood out. However, there were some others that just didn't quite check the box for me ranging from the shrimp tempura to the skirt steak, neither of which left an impression. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? Eat Me is good, but I wouldn't go back I don't think. No Star.

Yelp
Loved the variety of world foods. Every page on the menu represents a different region and each had both meat and at least 1-2 vegetarian items. Food was fresh, creative and very good. Portions are small so expect to want 2-3 plates per person for a typical dinner. I loved the "hot and jazzy" tofu steamed buns. Beautifully marinated tofu in a warm bun with cilantro, peanuts and spices. Crazy coxinhas was good. Fried bean balls on little dabs of mexican seasoning. 'Better than butter' was a rich ball of fresh cheese, fruity jam and a few crackers. Add a glass of wine and life is good!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick nightcap and ended up staying for the great company, laughs and the best cocktails I've ever had. Come for the artisanal cocktails and the best service!

Yelp
Nice restaurant in downtown Lausanne. Well decorated. The world wide tapas concept is interesting and the food is excellent. Nevertheless, the portions are really small and the price are really high... do not expect a cheap dinner. For the lunch, it is a bit less expansive and I highly recommend you to try it at lunchtime. Perfect for a business lunch for example. The service is not perfect, and the waiters lack of experience.

Yelp
Of the four dishes we ordered, one was spectacular, two were ok and one was truly disappointing. The scallops were the best we've ever had. The hummus was sad. Our other two dishes were the tofu coconut curry and the shrimp lollipops which were just ok. These two were too subtle for ethnic food that traditionally has more flavor. Quite an expensive dinner for the quality received.

Yelp
I was expecting more from Eat Me. I understood the concept of creating a tapas menu with bites from different parts of the world, but I felt that some of the dishes fell short. The flavors and creativity did not blow my mind, and the portions were extremely small. To feel full and satisfied, one would need to eat many more dishes than our waitress recommended. Additionally, we sat in the bar area. Instead of having an upscale lounge feel, this area felt like a club -- the noise and people around us were extremely loud and distracting. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

Yelp
cocktail was ok. but nothing special... medium chic atmosphere. nice to hang and apéro before going to the club or the dinner.

Yelp
Lausanne has great restaurants, but this one deserves to be amongst the very top ones, for many reasons. Although a night can end up being a tad spendy, I am willing to pay that money, when the service is top-notch, the bar is beaming with warm lighting, the wine list is delectable, and the food... oh, the food... If you ever want to taste very special ingredients (szechuan pepper flower, anyone ?) forming an elegant composition of colour, smell and taste, then that's the place to go. Everything is delicious, but my fave will remain the Creme Brulee, unusually served in a high glass. Grooovy !!!

Yelp
Not the greatest place in town by far. Food is ok but in order to be full one will need to spend quite a bit of money. Cocktails are interesting but also overpriced and take ages to deliver. Finally the atmosphere is quite dark, the music quite loud hence not the best place in town to have a talk with friends. Service can be great as it can be a complete miss.

Yelp
Very nice locale. Went in for a small bite to eat. Tapas style dishes but they were of very good quality. Service was good and the ambiance in the restaurant was really nice.

Yelp
The restaurant is an excellent Tapas experience. The best drink I had (3) is a Island Hoper. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. The restaurant is tastefully and tapas decorated. The music is great!

Yelp
Nice place, tapas style from all over the world (the manioke chips, oh my god!), wine and original cocktails. The staff is nice, fun, smiley and very efficient. Happy hour from 18h to 19h with wine and a choice of 6.- tapas. Try it you will love it :p (or not!).

Yelp
Great concept, smart pricing, awesome decoration (for Lausanne this is a real change), friendly staff and professional service. Food is tasty and well presented but could be a bit more subtle. Deserts do not match the rest of the menu.
