Incredibly grateful to count myself as one of the thousands of lucky dudes to visit Eatons' Ranch since it was founded in 1904. One could easily make the case that the 1st and oldest dude ranch might also the best, but getting into comparisons confuses the point. The culture is a point of pride here. It stands out because you can tell it's been passed on by the generations. The crew at Eatons' focuses on being the best at what they do, and making sure each and every one of their dudes has an awesome western experience from the first to the last moment of their stay. It was that way back then, and this way now, with little to no changes over the years in between. To put it simply, you can't really appreciate it until you experience it for yourself. Once you do, that's when you'll understand just how really special, and incomparable, Eatons' Ranch truly is! Thanks for a great stay and I hope to find my way back!

Eaton’s Ranch is truly special. The scenery, the people, and the horses are all amazing! The food was also great. If you are looking for a five star hotel type of accommodation, this is not it. The cabins are rustic, but they are charming and are part of the experience. The staff is simply the best. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Eaton's Ranch is an excellent place to go for an authentic dude ranch experience! The cabins are beautiful, the office staff are wonderful, the wranglers are excellent, the food is delicious, the horses are spectacular and the scenery is gorgeous! We couldn't have asked for a better time so if you're looking for a Dude Ranch that is on your bucket list, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Eaton's Ranch!!!! Thanks to all for making my bucket list item a memorable and thrilling experience!❤️

I just finished my second trip to Eaton’s Ranch with my mother, sister, aunt and a family friend. We all love it! But this is not a place to go if you are looking for a luxurious stay. The cabins are rustic, clean and charming! The food is plentiful and good home cooking. They have over 300 horses and you can ride two times a day with a private wrangler. You can also explore on your own if you like. I’ve been told other ranches make you go out in large groups and you ride nose to tail. Not at Eaton’s! You have freedom here! One of the things I like the best is there are no TV’s and no internet in the cabins so you can really relax and get away from it all!

Eatons ranch is a special place. The scenery was breathtaking and at times surreal. The food was good and the service was amazing. Our cabin was rustic yet that’s the whole point of eatons ranch. No television, no internet and even no cell service except at the main house. The wranglers were amazing hard working young people who were always there to help. The horses were some of the most gentle and nimble horses I had even ridden. We will definitely be back again next year.

The positives: This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, and its very cool and unique that you can get your own wrangler for horse rides as opposed to large group rides The negatives: I'm ok with rustic, but for over $1100/night for a family of 4, its a little ridiculous how dirty and buggy the cabins were on arrival and how old the mattresses are. We'd also repeatedly requested they make up one of the two twin bedrooms as a king and they only fixed it the last night of our stay. For a place that claims to be super family friendly, there is literally nothing for kids under 6. The pool in unheated, the "kids program" is just babysitting, and there is a sandbox with a bunch of broken toys. The food leaves much to be desired, most seemed like it was just reheated from frozen. Also, there seems to be no one over the age of 25 employed here and no one seems to have any idea what's going on. Honestly, this might have been 4 stars if it had been half the price, but for a price where we could have stayed at the Ritz its hard to recommend.

I stayed at this marvelous place with my family in the 90s and really loved the entire experience! You have your own well trained horse which you can walk, trot, canter or gallop with as you and the horse likes on two long rides per day! The nature around the ranch is breathtaking. It is next to the Big Horn mountains and there is lovely trail riding up in the mountains with a guide. The cabins are very rustic, lovely and cozy. The food is delicious and they offer vegetarian and vegan meals too, for those who wish to protect animals. I highly recommend this very down to earth, yet classy getaway spot!

Draconian cancellation policy. Charged me a 20% fee for cancelling a reservation even though the cabin will still be rented by the other people in my party that are still going. Claimed this was an administration fee. A $100 fee for what amounted to maybe 5 minutes worth of work to book me over the phone and then issue a refund a week later. I would understand the need for a fee if I had cancelled last minute or was cancelling a reservation for the entire cabin. Trip was over 3 months out and 3 other people in my party will still be in the cabin.

Yelp
The best experience I could have possibly imagined. Absolutely fantastic ranch, accommodations were fantastic, the riding and the location is second to none. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. The big draw is that they allow you to ride by yourself, up into the mountains. I will be coming back as often as I can, this is truly a hidden gem.

Yelp
We visited in June of this year and had a totally different view than previous poster. We were welcomed warmly and made to feel like part of the Eaton family. The ranch is in the middle of nowhere but that was part of the appeal. Most of the guests we met were repeated visitors with one couple we met having been coming there every year for 30 years. Food was fantastic and varied. Accommodations while basic were clean and became a lovely place to put our feet up after a long day riding. Yes - there were rules but they are needed if you are going to take off on your own - otherwise how would staff know if you were in trouble! The riding on our own part was one of the big draws too! We can't wait to go back and LOVED our vacation at Eatons.
