I stayed at this marvelous place with my family in the 90s and really loved the entire experience! You have your own well trained horse which you can walk, trot, canter or gallop with as you and the horse likes on two long rides per day! The nature around the ranch is breathtaking. It is next to the Big Horn mountains and there is lovely trail riding up in the mountains with a guide. The cabins are very rustic, lovely and cozy. The food is delicious and they offer vegetarian and vegan meals too, for those who wish to protect animals. I highly recommend this very down to earth, yet classy getaway spot!

This place is a real Western dude ranch experience that is absolutely beautiful. Historically fascinating and rustic.

I had hoped to come to Eaton's Ranch for my mom's 75th birthday. Unfortunately, the state of Wyoming has made the Sheridan area almost completely inaccessible to electric vehicles. It is quite literally easier to travel through Canyonlands and Death Valley than to get to Eaton ranch. We ended up booking a place in Colorado instead.

My husband and I absolutely loved the ranch! To be honest I didn't really want to go...I wanted to ge to Florida, lol. But between the horseback riding, hiking, scenery and amazing staff and cabins it has become one of my favorite vacations! I especially recommend the cave tour with wrangler Foley. We are hoping to go back next year 🙂

Eaton's is one of my favorite places for weddings and family get aways! I love going out for dinner but as a photographer, it is my favorite wedding venue in Sheridan. The staff is always so supportive and the views are amazing. One of the best wedding experiences a couple could have!

Recently visited as a solo traveler and it was everything I could have hoped for! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the accommodations were cozy and clean, and the food was delicious! A good bit of their business are repeat guests who have been coming for years which really says something about the success of this place. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to unplug and have some fun. I will definitely be back!

Travelling to Eatons' Ranch for fifty plus years has been a fantastic highlight of my life. As a professional horse trainer I can sincerely state that the horses at the ranch are some of the best in the world. The beautiful scenery continually takes your breath away in awe and wonder. Generation after generation of this family are true representatives of what it means to be legends of the west!!!

Yelp
The best experience I could have possibly imagined. Absolutely fantastic ranch, accommodations were fantastic, the riding and the location is second to none. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. The big draw is that they allow you to ride by yourself, up into the mountains. I will be coming back as often as I can, this is truly a hidden gem.

Yelp
We visited in June of this year and had a totally different view than previous poster. We were welcomed warmly and made to feel like part of the Eaton family. The ranch is in the middle of nowhere but that was part of the appeal. Most of the guests we met were repeated visitors with one couple we met having been coming there every year for 30 years. Food was fantastic and varied. Accommodations while basic were clean and became a lovely place to put our feet up after a long day riding. Yes - there were rules but they are needed if you are going to take off on your own - otherwise how would staff know if you were in trouble! The riding on our own part was one of the big draws too! We can't wait to go back and LOVED our vacation at Eatons.
