We stayed at Ebb and Flow South for a few days. It is a beautiful campsite. We always had hot showers, and fellow campers were lovely and not noisy until late at night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a lovely trail to a waterfall and plenty more to do in the surrounding areas. Outside lights might be bothersome if you camp next to the bathrooms.

Possibly one of the most beautiful reserves in South Africa and at the foot of multiple road-trips to places with beautiful views over the sea, valleys, rivers and the renown Knysna forest. The chalet was very clean and looked out over the river and surrounded by well kept clean lawns and magificent trees. It was quiet and all the staf were very friendly. There are some issues you need to be prepared for, we had a 4-bed chalet (for 2) and the chalet was well stocked with the basics one needs on such a stay. However, there is NOWHERE to store your own groceries, clothes, shoes, and whatever you brought along and no space, so we ended up with crates in the narrow space in the middle and used the 2 spare beds as 'cupboards' - had we been a family of 4 it would have been chaos. The shower is tiny and has no soap dish and a slippery floor so one needs to hold your soap in one hand while trying to wash. There is also nowhere to store shampoo, etc. and toiletries in the shower/toilet/basin area, so all your stuff ends up on the floor. The beds are child-size making sleep a bit of challenge when turning at night. Towels are provided but worth taking you own extra for swimming and washing (they are quite small). A built in Braai place with tongs is provided and cleaned by the staff the next day (thank you for that). The outside seating and table is one those fixed models and due to bad design, very unfriendly to get into and took up all the space - chairs would have been preferred with a small table. Parking is in the shade :). A further warning is that MANY children, some as young as 3 years old, cycleing all over the park on the road and lawn on their bicycles - often unattended by adult and not very safety aware - there does not seem to be a rule about this and the rist to children and motorists does raise a concern.|All this aside, I will go again preferrably outside the school holidays and Chrismas period. Most of the camp is used by people caming in tents and campers and most of the stands face the river which provides quick access for water sport of which canoeing, paddling, and swimming is very popular - one can hire them as well. We did the River cruise which is highly recommendable as their guides shared a lot of information about the forest, the ample birdlife, and other wildlife along the banks of the river. Sunsets are picture perfect. The camp is close to the town of Wilderness where one is spoilt for choice if you wish to go to a restauring - we went to The Girls and all our meals were great. Also paid a visit to a very talented local artist whose gallery is next to the restaurant - Irma de Waal Gallery. Enjoy Ebb & Flow, it is a gem!

I must give SANPARKS a HUGE shout out. 3 National parks in current trip and I, as a South African, can say, this department is doing their damdest to fly our flag high. Their facilities are well kept, the parks are clean and neat. The staff are exemplary. Their friendliness is just stunning, from on the ground staff,to maintenance, to administrative staff, without fail, just made our trip that bit more special. Every single interaction with the staff at every park was an absolute pleasure.Ebb&Flow, Storms River, Karoo. You won't be disappointed to visit our parks. Take the time. South Africa with all it's issues is a beautiful country.

A big shout out to Mr Appels, one of the technical staff at Ebb and Flow. He went above and beyond the call of duty to try to assist us with a problem with power to our motorhome. He stayed after hours to find that the problem lay with the vehicle, not the Park's power supply. He even checked on us the following morning to ensure we were okay! All the staff are friendly, courteous and most helpful, the ablutions are clean and the Park is well maintained. An absolute pleasure to visit.

Wow what a great place to relax and unwind. There ia ample bird life in the park to keep you busy. The early morning boat cruize up an down the Touw river was super relaxing. You can also hire a Kayak to go on the river. The rooms were spacious neat and clean. Ebb and flow is also very central tonall the places around so you can use it as a base as well to explore all the surrounding placed. Very nice place.

As a kid we used to visit this place for several days at a time - it's located close to George and Knysna - the dunes and ocean view from the dunes across the road is spectacular and we had the privilege to see the Outeniqwa Choo-Choo Steam Locomotives drive past the nearby railway bridge, flattening 5c coins we placed on the rails. It's also a great location for hikes and canoeing. Very chilled, tropical setting but without the tropical heatwaves.

Camped for a few nights in Ebb and Flow North. Facilities are old but spotless and the hot showers were great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hiking trails well maintained and marked.

If you're looking for peace and quiet on the busy Garden Route, this is the place! Stunning sunsets, birds in abundance, beautiful hikes. You have to visit the lakes, use the gravel roads in the park.
