We met Ibe, the well-behaved mascot of this high-end, community-oriented business in the Western Trails Creative District. If you knit, crochet, etc., this is your go-to destination. We are so fortunate to have such a lovely yarn shop stocked with so many varieties of lovely yarns in Ogallala. It’s owner, Kate, is well versed in all things yarn and offers lessons for beginners or those who want to advance their skills. I highly recommend you check out her shop, the Eccentric Lamb, in downtown Ogallala.

I have wanted to learn to crochet for years BUT watching YouTube videos was not helpful at all. I have taken 2 crochet classes at eccentric lamb and I have begun my crochet era. It was a little intimidating at first to pick up something that looks so complex but I have found plenty of encouragement from my instructor, Jess and the shop owner, Kate. My new addiction is buying yarn and I am happy to say that the shop has a great selection of yarn at various price points. So soft! I completed my first granny square at this evenings class and I’m so proud of it!

Absolutely amazing! Wonderful variety of classes and events to attend for beginners to more experienced, they even do stuff for kiddos! The store is adorable and has a nice selection of yarn for various projects, which are also of very good quality. The help and knowledge that is offered through classes or as you are shopping is truly the best, so patient and kind! This is my go to place!

Love this place the store is very open and welcoming as is Kate the owner. She’s willing to answer questions or help you out in selecting items. The classes are great I went from not knowing anything about knitting to finishing a nice hat in 6 classes. Selection is great and if she doesn’t have what you want she’s more than happy to get something ordered.
