"Grill Your Own Meats Restaurant Eclips is a cozy, trendy spot, just off the beach promenade. The focus is on tableside fondues and grills, and it is a meat lovers paradise. Owners Chris and Sharon Verdonck greeted us warmly and explained the menu and concept to us. In addition to their role as restaurateurs, they are also the chefs, servers, and even cleaners—they run the entire show themselves and are dedicated to excellent service. And that’s exactly what we received. We enjoyed a mountain of fresh meat which we had fun cooking ourselves on our little grill. The best was yet to come, when Chris prepared my Irish Coffee table-side, flames and all. It's no wonder Restaurant Eclips tops the charts of all of the review sites for Ostend. It's a treasure! We Love that restaurant. The service is stunning. The meat (we always order the royal mix platter) is really yummy and the cocktails fantastic. The tea choice is really good. It's a pity that we have to wait for our next Holidays to enjoy the athmosphere and the choice of yummy food. And for sure we will come back.

Basically, I celebrate people who are passionate about what they want to do. And you can feel this passion from the reservation to the farewell after the meal. A simple but good concept and outstanding quality with the best possible service. For me, it's easy to understand why Eclips is one of the highest rated restaurants in Ostend. From now on, it's a must for us whenever we're in the area.

Small restaurant with a big heart! The seafood was fresh and delicious, the homemade dessert was the perfect way to end the meal and the Irish Coffee a whole experience itself. However, all pale in comparison to the kindness and joyful personality of the people who work there! No hesitation, will be back every time I'm in Ostende. Thanks for the great night!

My boyfriend and I have been here this evening and we really appreciated the experience. Both fondue and grilled meat were tasty and we liked also the sides and the dressing. The owners are kind and friendly. We recommend this place and we will come again.

Visiting Oostende from Los Angeles we saw this place on Google and gave it a try. It’s a very nice and fun experience. The quality of the meat was truly amazing! Fine cuts of beef, pork, fish. The salad was also fresh with delicious dressing. The staff working there are kind and friendly folks. Absolute wonderful time dining there with family!

We just had dinner at Eclipse and are still blown away. The food was good with top quality but the highlight of the evening was Robin who is just the perfect host. The service was excellent and his attention to details (like providing alternatives like a grill or different sauces for my pregnant girlfriend) were top notch. Since we are tourists we can't visit regularly but we will be back.

What a delicious and fun night at Eclips! The ingredients are so fresh! The salad was delicious and then the main course was served. Depending upon which meats you select they offer grill or fondue cooking at your table. Everyone has color coded skewers and it is fun to cook at the table. The meats were yummy and are, of course, served with frites (fries). A tray with eight different sauces let you compliment each meat (Belgian beef, Irish beef, chicken, turkey, sausage, meatballs, shrimp were offered the night we were there). They also offer fish and other delicacies when available. Their wine and drink menu is extensive and the atmosphere is wonderful. The host is very friendly and engaging! You will truly enjoy your evening!
