Ecluse

I recently visited the ecluse restaurant and I was really impressed. The environment is welcoming and very well-kept, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was very kind and attentive, making me feel at home right away. But the real star was the food: every dish was delicious, prepared with fresh and quality ingredients. I will definitely return and recommend it to everyone!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Écluse in Bern. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was truly outstanding – attentive without being intrusive. I tried their homemade pasta with summer truffle and Gruyère beurre blanc, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The grilled pike from Lake Biel was another highlight, fresh and beautifully prepared with seasonal accompaniments that showcased local ingredients at their best. Every dish reflected a thoughtful balance of creativity and quality. Combined with excellent wine recommendations and a relaxed, elegant setting, Écluse delivered a memorable meal I would happily repeat.

One of the best food i ever had! Lovely area, beautiful garden and an excellent service. I would recommend this restaurant a lot! These are young people with a sustainable and perfectly match concept!

Amazing food and service! Really beautiful ambiance! We were here for a company/team dinner and we were treated amazingly. Apparently they source their ingredients from local manufacturers in a 50km radius. This is an incredible idea and a very good restaurant for the sustainably active!

Many years ago I had visited the Écluse and was thrilled by this island of tranquillity. I finally found it again and it has simply become even better. The concept of sustainability and regionality is convincing and does not imply any restriction; on the contrary, the creativity required brings wondrous combinations and flavourful surprises to light. Also perfectly prepared. The wonderful evening was accompanied by selected wine (trust their recommendations, you will not be disappointed!) and lovely (staff) people. Test in winter. Could it be any better? Yes, it was... a wonderful pleasure and evening. The lovely and dedicated service team recommended a firework of natural wines with a few surprises. The food was a delight. What is certainly worth emphasising is that the vegetarian menu was 100% on a par, which is unfortunately rare. A place to feel good and lean back!

What an impressive lunch ! The place : both exceptional inside and outside, modern but simple with a lot of “home made” decor that are in fact the home made pickles! We loved it !! Then the service : perfect ; with a true love for the ingredients that are presented and a very good taste in wine :))) only new domains for us, good surprises ! And finally : the food : it’s beautiful as mush as it is good —> local products with a play of textures and temperatures, colors … (finally the small attentions for guests with children were so thoughtful! Loved it!)

Cool Restaurant, Cozy Vibes, good service. I would definitely recommend to try it out!

A summer favorite! Consistently creative, locally sourced, cuisine. Local and creative beers, wines, and nonalcoholic drinks. Good service. But the courtyard/setting when the weather is warm can’t be beat. It’s a haven to hang out in.
