This was the best hotel experience we have ever had. All of the staff were extremely kind, helpful, pleasant and friendly. It felt like our home away from home. |The hotel is a beautiful building, with gardens, a sunroom. fantastic views, and comfortable rooms. |The staff were happy to store our luggage between our extended tours.|They arranged taxis for us. It has a great location - walking distance from many places we wanted to visit.|The breakfasts were delicious and healthy, served by a very friendly cook. And the upstairs restaurant made it very convenient for dinner on the nights we were too tired to find a restaurant.|It almost felt like we were staying with our family.|I highly recommend Eco-Hotel Pension Alemana.

This hotel is an absolute bargain for the experience! We were so grateful for the incredible service we received from all staff. The moment we walked through the door we were offered tea. The staff then give you a tour of the whole place, including the many indoor and outdoor open areas you can sit in to view the city of Cusco below.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each day we were there, utilized the very easy laundry service, and loved the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again and hope that if we are able to return to Cusco, we can return!

So so so cute! Really friendly staff absolutely would stay again. This location has breathtaking views nestled above the city center. However, quite a hike to get up there on foot! Expect nice walks down and sketchy Uber rides up the one lane two way roads to get home for the night! Two notes that could probably do for improvement is TV's (super tiny like 20") and also the breakfast could use more hot options. All of the staff is super helpful and accommodating. Keep in mind this is an eco-friendly hotel they charge to fill your water bottles from their purified water and heat is only on specific times of the night (perfectly when it counts). At least the hot showers never fail!

What a find in San Blas! We felt quite pampered with beautiful breakfasts, a lovely courtyard full of flowers and very solicitous hosts. When there was a problem with hot water, they resolved it almost immediately. I highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay during a visit to Cusco.

Wonderful little place set high in the Cusco area. Walking distance to all of the local cultural sites, square, markets and cafes. Lovely breakfast and cafe with views that are breathtaking Garden area is lovely. There is an area to have cocktails and enjoy reading or conversation while viewing Cusco.||||Service amazing, tea and water available 24/7. Pisco Sours were spectacular! Highly recommend this gem! We do a lot of traveling, this fit our style perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for a week in the matrimonial suite. Room was pretty big (1 king sized bed and an extra single bed). Wifi was generally okay throughout the hotel although you need to switch servers when in different parts to get the best connection. Hot water worked well throughout our stay although there was 1 night where it was barely warm - I think that was a particularly cold night (0 degrees) so perhaps it affected the heater. Free tea and fruit is provided, the latter an absolute lifesaver during chilly nights. ||Breakfast was nice - there was both regular and whole meal bread, quinoa pancakes (my favourite) mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs. The cafe (breakfast area in the morning) also provides stunning views over the city! The staff there were really warm and friendly especially the senora who was preparing food in the morning :) To improve though, I think more variety with the food would be appreciated. After a couple of days, seeing the same thing every morning can be quite a drag even if it’s good. My girlfriend wasn’t too keen on eating the same stuff by the 5th day. ||Location wise, the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main plaza. This was good as there were lots of festivals going on throughout the day and hence staying here allowed us to get a quiet and comfortable rest without being too far from the action. The hotel also helps booking tours including Machu Picchu which is very convenient. They also stored our luggage for free when we visited MP. ||Overall, we had a pleasant stay here and I recommend this place to prospective travellers. |

We ended up staying in Cusco longer than planned originally so booked this hotel last minute. I think it is a good solid place to stay but was not my favorite. The gardens are beautiful. The breakfast room has a good view. Breakfast was large. Our room was near metal stairs though and people going up and down them was very noisy. I also found the beds and bedding to be less comfortable than other places. More hard than plush. Our room was very clean. The staff were friendly and there is a small kitchen with a fridge which was helpful. You have to buzz every time to get in and out of the building so it feels safe and secure. The staff called a taxi for us which was helpful. The hotel (but not the rooms) are decorated with angels and demon figures. Some might find this interesting and it might freak other people out. I lean toward the “interesting” side. The street was fairly quiet. We generally walked to and from the hotel but one thing to keep in mind if not taking a taxi is that it is a lot of stairs.
