Eco Lodge Casona Distante

What a beautiful farm conversion, makes this hotel a treat to visit after you have driven up the Elqui Valley. The road is fine in whatever vehicle although not all paved at the moment. |We were welcomed warmly and had a cosy room. This is an old farmhouse in the middle of the mountains, so not 5 star, but just beautiful. Following a walk through the vineyards to the river we enjoyed a lovely dinner and some great local wine. |A look outside after dark and the number of stars is quite breathtaking. The owner also has a telescope and runs experiences if you desire.|Breakfast was fresh and wholesome.|Also available spa treatments and massages.|Not somewhere you are going to stumble upon, but not at all disappointing if you are anywhere near by

Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all. A beautiful adobe house, surrounded by mountains and with very friendly staff. The only sound we could hear were birds, a perfect way to escape the noise of the city. If you are looking for tv and wifi this isn't the place, this is all about disconnecting and enjoying the Elqui valley. The rooms were clean and well kept, with very comfortable beds. The food in the restaurant and the meals included were delicious. I would definitely go back!!

What a nice place! The hotel is really nice located in the Vallee del Elqui. The rooms are very comfortable and have a nice bathroom. The breakfast is served in the restaurant with fresh and tasteful bread! Outstanding. Unfortunately there is no WiFi in the hotel. We didn’t tried the restaurant but from other guests we’ve learned that it is highly recommended.|

We had a wonderful stay at Casona Distante. Although we did not expect this to be the case, the property did not offer wifi. This was both a blessing and a curse for us: we work remotely but it was nice to be completely disconnected in the evening. The property was charming and serene, and the rooms were clean. The food and pisco sours were delicious. And, most importantly, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. I highly recommend Casona Distante.

Thank you to everyone at Casa Distante for a fantastic two night stay. We arrived late and the guys stayed up late for us, greeting us with amazing fresh and delicious dinner and red wine. They were so welcoming and caring, it felt like we were coming home. ||The rooms are comfortable and clean, with hot showers and big beds. The house is a chalet style made of wood, and the wrap around terraces offer 360 views of the mountains - HEAVEN!||Francisco took us to the observatory one night. Do not miss this. We saw Mars, Jupiter, the Moon and so many stars. A dream come true. He also took us on a walk around the village and showed us his beautiful home.||If you're travelling to Valle de Elqui, I would encourage you to book a room at Casa. So friendly and will do everything they can to make your stay memorable.

We stayed a few days at this beautiful place!||We were warmly welcomed by Claudio. He showed us to our room and all the possibilities the place had to offer.||||They had a small swimming pool, filled with fresh mountain water, which made the dive REALLY COLD! You could stroll around the place or go visit the town of Elqui below. ||||The breakfast, lunch and dinners were well taken care of by him and his colleague. You could taste the passion for cooking in his foods. Definitely a must try while there!||The hotel room was spacious and the bed was so comfy that we had issues getting out. ||I enjoyed a massage from Pia, which brought me back in balance and full relaxation. ||||In all we said we will be back and that is a promise! A 19th Century restored old house come back to like as a boutique hotel ran by the owners. Fire pit and live grilling until you can eat no more. Local wine is served and sustainability is very important for the Chilean. Mountains, observatory and hiking trails. Just a perfect place for couples or family to get connected with nature

It's a little bit far but the ambient is very relaxed and nice. The host and all staff are very friendly and nice! The dogs are very cute and they'll go with you if you decide to go for a walk!
