I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel in Oakland Place. The location is incredibly peaceful, perfect for relaxing, and the rooms are comfortable and well-kept. The view is absolutely beautiful—such a treat to wake up to! Alejandra at reception was so kind and accommodating, making everything smooth and welcoming from the moment I arrived. And don’t miss the free breakfast—it’s excellent and a great way to start the day. Highly recommend!

Three friends visited Guatemala and stayed at Hotel Uxlabil in Guatemala City for their first night. Before leaving for Tikal and Antigua, they reserved a room for their return night before heading to the airport. However, when they came back, although there was a confirmation email, they were informed that no reservation had been made and that the hotel was fully booked. This left them searching for another hotel at 10 PM. Clearer communication and better reservation management would improve the guest experience and avoid these kinds of inconveniences.

We were looking for someplace clean, safe and close to La Aurora Airport, with car service or shuttle to the airport. Eco Hotel Uxlabil was perfect and exceeded our expectations. First, it was huge! Like bigger than our first apartment, and probably our second apartment! My husband and I shared a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a twin bed right beside it, perfect for little ones. The two teenagers each had their own bedrooms, and we all shared a bathroom, living area, kitchen and two balconies overlooking a small, wooded ravine. The hotel is inside a gated community and it was easy to order food and have it brought to our room. The front desk clerk, Jorge, could not have been more helpful. He ordered a car for us for the morning--$10--and the car arrived several minutes early. We got to the airport in plenty of time. Breakfast is included but we never tried it because we were out the door before it started! All in all, a great value for a family on a budget!

This hotel is situated in Zona 10 but a long walk from the restaurants in the neighbourhood. The staff was helpful and friendly. The place was clean but in need of a paint job and some upgrades. The bed was not very comfortable but it is a quiet neighbourhood which seems to be unique for Guatemala. Breakfast was very good with limited options. It is very reasonably priced so overall is good value for the money.

I stayed several nights at this property, and was thrilled on so many different levels. The quiet neighborhood is a rarity in the big city. Located in a gated community, and the rear of the property is a wooded forest. I had an apartment like suite that looked out onto the forest. In addition to the suite, there are lots of quiet seating areas to read, relax, or work. Secure parking is a bonus, and the wi-fi was fast. The breakfast (included in my case) was very nice. The staff are professional and helpful.||If there would be a down side, this hotel may be challenging for travelers who do not have a vehicle.

After a majorly delayed bus and last minute change of plans, a friend who was already staying at Uxlabil Eco Suites recommended me to stay there. As I only booked on the day my room was roughly $50US for one night, which was a bit of a treat for me but well worth it not knowing Guatemala City and only being there for one night. Although I didn't get to see much with my timeframe, it was a perfect place to rest as it is located in Zone 10 in a privatized residential area that is very tranquil and safe. The staff were professional and helpful and the included breakfast is very good. My room literally was a suite, it had a full kitchen, lounge area, dining table, nice bathroom and beautiful bedroom. It was not glamorous but very beautiful and homely. Though it does not feel like you are in a major city it is a short walking distance to the renowned Oakland Mall and Fontabella for shopping and restaurants.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The pluses: friendly staff, safe location, all the necessities, ability to store luggage between checkout and flight, hot water plus water pressure. The negatives: mosquitos in the apartment, "cafe downstairs" is more like a place where they store yogurt and coffee, somewhat out of the way for tourists. I'd stay here again but if I was looking for a real hotel I'd look at the Holiday Inn up the street.
