Located on the river and jungle surrounds. Rooms are unique, wooden with metal fly screens, no curtains so you really feel like you are outside. A few issues with hot water in rooms and you can hear everything and everyone else in their rooms so limited privacy. Beautiful inside pool so bring your swimmers. |The food was excellent and the chef was creative in sharing a variety of cuisine. Meal times and activities are set times.|Guides were excellent and lots of fun. Walking, boats and monkey feeding. Ivan and Iklair were our guides and made our explorations fun and informative. |Great to explore this part of Peru and Amazon jungle.

The journey to the lodge itself kicks off the adventure. It’s about a 2 hr boat ride. Since the boat has limited weight capacity, the staff kindly offered luggage storage, and I packed a light backpack for my stay. This made travel much more manageable.||From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and unforgettable. The dedication and hard work of everyone at the lodge were truly inspiring—many of them juggle multiple roles, seamlessly transitioning from knowledgeable tour guides to servers, always with warmth and professionalism.||One of the most profound lessons I learned from a guide on the first day was that nature will present itself to you—a reminder to remain open and connected during my visit. I found that by expressing gratitude and staying present, I had truly magical encounters. Feeding the monkeys was an incredible experience, and one even tapped my hand twice in what felt like her own form of gratitude.||The lodge itself is well-organized, clean, and thoughtfully run, thanks to a strong, dedicated team that works together like family. Whether it was the manager, Henry, the guides, Walter leading our excursions (I regret not remembering all the other guides names), the staff seen cleaning the rivers, or the bartenders, Jacob and Eduardo crafting delicious drinks with kindness and skill, every person played a crucial role in making my stay memorable and special. I traveled alone, but they made me feel safe and cared for, which I truly appreciated. ||The food was delicious and served at designated times. WiFi access is limited to specific times as well but it was nice to disconnect from the world and stay present.||The excursions are scheduled at specific times, but there is also leisure time afterwards. There is a pool table, foos ball, jenga, and other games available.||There is a pool, so bring a swim suit. I forgot mine. ||There is hot water for showering, but sometimes you have to wait a few minutes.||The rooms were comfortable, with screened windows that allowed me to wake up to the soothing sounds of nature. Every morning was a reminder of the beauty of the Amazon.||If you are visiting, I highly recommend embracing the spirit of gratitude and connection—you’ll find that the Amazon has more to offer than meets the eye.||My heart is full.

Awesome place to stay and relax while hiking and boating. Recommend maybe August to see more wildlife nearer the river. The treks were pretty short and everyone can do them. The lodge is awesome and the food to die for! There's Wi-Fi available as well. Great!

We stayed at Eco Amazonia for several nights and there were many aspects we truly enjoyed. The location is absolutely stunning — deep in the jungle, surrounded by nature and wildlife, it really feels like an escape. The food was consistently good, and the lodge itself is beautiful. The excursions were generally well-organised and a great way to explore the area.||That said, there were a few things that made the experience disappointing. Most notably, the pool — which was one of the reasons we chose the lodge — was not operational for the entire duration of our stay. Each day we were told it would be ready “tomorrow” or “in a few hours,” but this turned out not to be true. On one occasion we were told it would be ready soon, despite there being no water in it at all. It felt like we were being strung along rather than given an honest update.||When I brought this up, the manager laughed it off, which felt really dismissive and unprofessional.||Also, while the excursions were enjoyable, some of them did feel quite repetitive. That may be the nature of being in the jungle — there’s only so much variety in the landscape and activities — but a bit more diversity in the schedule would have made a difference.||Overall, we still had a good time thanks to the setting, the food, and the unique experience of being in the Amazon. But the handling of the pool situation and some aspects of the tours did take away from what could have been a truly excellent stay.

Our stay at EcoAmazonia lodge was excellent. The accommodation was amazing, cute rooms, daily cleaning and the food was the most delicious we tasted in Peru, everything fresh and handmade, different plate every day. Who could imagine a stay in the Amazon could be so comfortable?? The staff in the lodge were friendly and welcoming. The activities in the rainforest went beyond expectations. The staff has put so much work to create paths in the jungle that look natural and make the activities accessible to everybody. Each activity was a unique experience and the fact that this lodge is the last one deep in the Amazon jungle gives you a chance to be as close as it's safe to the wildlife. The guides were all knowledgeable and friendly.

Whatever expectations you may have - this place is incredible and a once in a lifetime experience. I’d rate it 10 stars out of 5. It’s a hotel in an ecological preserve and you can book different length stays and go on different adventures based on the stays you book. We were unsure what to expect but hoped to see the Amazon, and my god, we did. You will too. All the staff were incredibly friendly- Juan was our guide and one of our main points of contact (along with the awesome manager Hembry). Juan spoke fluent English and French along with the native languages. Each day had a new adventure, delicious food, and incredible sunsets. More on that below. When you arrive by boat (it’s an hour and a half boat ride on the beautiful Amazon {Madres De Rio }) you’re greeted by the manager and staff and get a delicious fruit juice drink. They grab your bags and show you to your room. The facility is a main building with reception, bar, and dining room. It’s large and comfortable to hang out at. They also have various games. They also have a pool. They have nice walk ways going off in every direction that will lead you to your cabin, places to relax, and even a botanical garden. The rooms are “bungalows” - they have some instructions/ rules but they’re geared to keeping insects away. For instance - don’t have opened food. It’s to keep the ants out. The jungle is not far away. The rules are common sense so no big deal. They serve 3 meals a day - if the times seem odd - it’s to help facilitate the excursions. They like to go early in the morning to avoid the heat, which makes sense. Every day we had a different meal and they ranged from really good to omg excellent. Excursions - one of the big attractions is monkey island. I didn’t think it would be that cool but wow I was wrong. 3 different types of monkeys on the island and they all were unique from each other. It was great to interact and watch them. They were very friendly to humans and loved our tasty bananas. We went to multiple other places - Apu Victor, lost lake, a lagoon, a Chanel, 3 or 4 different hikes. Along the way the guides will stop and point things out, help you spot the animals, etc. they really know a lot about the flora and fauna. I will forget everything we saw so this is just a partial list - Capybara (they’re running around every in the Eco Lodge gardens), black spider monkeys, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, brown capuchin monkeys, white faced something monkey, a sloth, lizards everywhere, white and black caiman of all sizes. We saw so many birds - Macaws, Parrots, king fishers, black herons (they’re awesome) and my favorite- the Hoatzin. One night they even took us out on the boat at night to spot caimans and look at the stars and milkyway. It was impressive- we saw the Southern Cross among others. They have nice paths in the jungle so you wont be needing to cut your way through with a machete or anything but it’s still real and you’re in the middle nature preserve with nature everywhere. You’re in the jungle. I will be telling everyone about this place. The sunsets were beautiful, it was amazing to learn about the ecosystem, we met amazing people, and had the experience of a lifetime. If you see this - book a trip. You won’t regret it. PS - we went in May and it was HOT. They have a water filing station open all day or you can buy ice cold water from them. The lodge plus the rooms have fans to help cool you off. I don’t do well in the heat but was able to handle it just fine. I saw another reviewing saying staff were rude - I can only speak for our time there but we witnessed some extraordinary customer service- they switched up a meal upon advance request, and when someone skipped the night excursion because they were feeling well, and Juan found out, he made sure to invite her to the next place. Hembry was also wonderful to work with, super friendly, and incredibly welcoming to guests.

We had a great experience with EcoAmazonia Lodge and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to see the amazon jungle. They picked us up and dropped us off right at the airport - no need to worry about getting yourself there. We met people from all over the world. The staff was amazing and super friendly. Juan, our guide, expertly led our group of both English-speaking and French-speaking people. He did an amazing job explaining everything. Which was great because I didn't brush up on my Spanish before arriving. We were there only 3 days but saw so much. We could hear so many different sounds from our bungalow, it was like camping. They joked that the monkeys would be a wake up call, we could hear them but it wasn't as loud as expected at least from our bungalow. We hiked daily, and there was a boat ride in the Madre de Dios River, a lake or lagoon. All meals were on a schedule, the food was good, we got to try new food each day. I did not have cell service but they have wifi at the lodge so we could check in with our family in the evenings. Overall we had an amazing time!

We had an amazing experience in the jungle! Our guide Evan was fantastic and so knowledgeable. I really enjoyed learning about the plants and animals from him. Food was also delicious. Bungalows were space and clean. It was so peaceful to listen to the sounds of the jungle.
