Ecohostel Andromeda

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to answer queries and make you feel at home. Breakfast is included too which is always super handy. Sleeping on a boat was a great experience, and with the two communal - 1 outside deck and the inside lounge area - it’s impossible to not make friends on this boat.

That was a great stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have to admit I didn't expect to stay on a barge this year and it was a great experience. I slept very well and the place was very quiet. Because you sleep on a barge, you can hear the birds in the morning. :) It is also quite easy to meet the other travelers. The only negative point is due to the fact the place is small. It is not a hostel where you can really cook. Otherwise, I recommend this place! :)

Im traveling with my mom, 29yo (me), and this place its was very affordable to us, comfortable and perfect in a few words. we stayed in the shred mixed bedroom and its was lovely. clean, good beds, and quiet. awesome price for the good location, breakfast included (delicious, homey breakkie with bread, cereals, coffee, tea.. very complete) clean toilets.. all good. thank you!!

Cool stay if you're looking for a different experience. Good memories.

I enjoyed my stay on the boat which was just for one night.||The lounge area is nice and comfortable with an 'honesty fridge' stocked with different beers which are priced extremely well. There are jars of waffles/biscuits to snack on for only 50c. ||The lady that runs the hostel is very nice, I didn't catch her name.||Only 2 toilets on the boat but that didn't cause me any issues - however during busier times it could be a problem. Also you can't flush toilet roll, you have to put it in a bin...again, didn't cause me any issues but I was thinking how it wouldn't be too nice if you had an upset stomach! I understand why this is a rule, a boat obviously has a different plumbing and waste disposal system to a building. ||I would also have liked to see some soap/hand towels in the shower area so you can wash your hands after using the toilets; I found it strange that there was none.||The bed was extremely comfortable, a beautiful thick mattress with very clean sheets and bedding. I slept very well and there was no noise at all. ||Wifi is pretty good but you can only get it in the lounge. ||Breakfast was a selection of cereals and different types of fresh bread from the bakery, organic butters and jams/honey/spreads etc. Plus a tea and coffee machine. This is all included in the price and was really nice. ||Overall, an above average hostel which I would recommend and happily stay at again.

The concept of boat as a eco friendly hostel is superbly implemented. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The hostel offers free breakfast and has a descent wifi.||As it is a boat, there aren't many beds: 18 to be precise. So book in advance , especially during summer ||The location is 1.5 kms from the city center. Given the experience, I'll highly recommend it

Stayed here for a reunion with friends and I must admit, upon seeing we were staying on a boat, I was sceptical. Oh how I was proven wrong!||This is a modern, ergonomic hostel with comfortable beds, clean rooms, clean bedsheets, and a good range of food/drink available (including gluten/dairy free options). ||It’s a feel-good hostel, that does feel homely. Though the social space is small, it was cosy, and warm. There aren’t proper tables and chairs for eating at however, but it’s only say a 15min walk to eateries.||Take slippers though! The corridor floor isn’t as warm as the bedroom floors!

The service of the staff was great and timely. The beds and were comfortable and clean, along with the rest of the hostel. The hostel is conveniently located less than a 15 min walk from the city center. Certainly one of the more unique hostels I have seen. Would absolutely stay again!
