What a wonderful experience! My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon and it was amazing. Veronique was the highlight of our experience. We couldn't have asked for a better host. The breakfast every morning was delicious and really enjoyed her homemade jams. The house was beautiful and great location; very easy to walk everywhere. We had the attic room and it was very spacious and comfortable. The cat was a very nice add (we have a cat ourselves) and it was great feeling like at home. Really looking forward to coming back to this place when we return to Bordeaux

Gorgeous and tastefully decorated space. Veronique was very helpful in recommending wonderful places to eat and helping us book wine tasting tours. Her organic homemade jams and lovely breakfast was a joy to wake up to. The bed linens and amenities were of a high quality. We very much enjoyed our stay at Ecolodge and would definitely go back. The location was very central as well – about a 10 minute walk to the city centre.

I loved staying here. It was like staying in a secret castle. It was quiet, with comfortable beds, a nice shower and was tastefully decorated. The hosts went out of their way for us. The only drawback is that their adorable beagle didn't stay with me. Ecolodge des Chartrons is also close to the river and many restaurants. I absolutely loved every bit of Ecolodge des Chartrons and the unique charm of Bordeaux!

We were very pleased with the accommodations at the Ecolodge but most of all we enjoyed how Veronique made us feel at home. The breakfast was wonderful and her directions around town were so helpful. She went out of her way to retrieve my husbands camera from the tourist center so we wouldn't have to take the time to do so. Also she was so very right regarding the distance to the Viking Ship, it was a short walk down the street and we were there, thank you! We would recommend the Ecolodge to anyone looking for a wonderful relaxing location in Bordeaux! Thanks, Mary & Thomas Conner

I will start saying that i had very high expaxtions about this place and i was quite disappointed. The first thing i want to mention is that my room had NO WINDOW so it got very stuffy in the room. The breakfast was basically a few slices of bread with not even some jam to accompany it. Also Arnaud have emailed me that the room was costing 270 and when i had to pay at check out the price was 290 (without explanation). The building itself is nice and the room were cleaned. I dont think though i would go back or recommend this place, every room should have a window at some point at night the air was so dry that it was hard to breath. Its just a bunch of details that can really make a difference for having a good or a bad experience.

Hôtel was in a nice area... However.. Noisy school right across from hotel with lot of smokers and more. Breakfast mediocrable at best.. same thing every day.. stale croissants , very small glass of juice, mediocre coffee No service or atttention on refill.. The owner was very condescendant and almost made me cry... The cleaners left us with very small towels for shower.. when ask politely to «  renaut the owner he reproches me that a little wine was spilled on the bed and as » written » eating was forbidding in the room... Well we actually were drinking.. Also no coffee in room as promised... noisy room... mediocre bathroom( no shampoo).. But the worse was the condescending owner attitusde... Also parking was safe but really really hard to park in designated spot... Overall a big sad dispointment Also many issues in room.. lighthouse switch, plugs hard to reach or not workings Pictures. And video to follow

My husband and I had a glorious stay at Ecolodge Chartons. Véronique was an exceptional host, the location is in the best neighborhood - our room was perfect, the bed comfortable and the breakfast delicious! I would recommend Ecoldoge Chartons to anyone going to Bordeaux - thank you for a lovely stay!

Ideal location, close to public transit, shops and restaurants in downtown area. Comfortable and spacious accommodation with old world charm. Arnaud was welcoming and helpful in every way!

Yelp
Lovely people and gorgeously designed guest house. We stayed in two different rooms. The room facing the street was much quieter than expected. The room facing the interior courtyard was surprisingly a bit less quiet. If we come back, an outside facing room is a must.
