EcoMalargüe Posada & Hostel

Very nice place. We rented a room for 4 people (1 double bed and 2 single beds) with a shared bathroom. It was a bit small but it was still conformable. The shared bathrooms (and the bedrooms also) were clean. The kitchen was pretty big and well equipped. The staff members were really kind and told us about all the places we could visit around Malargue. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hostel is loceted about 6km south of town on Ruta 40 and is surrounded by farmland with great views over the mountains.||||If you like peace and tranquility, this is a great place to relax far from any noise.||||A taxi into town cost about 14 pesos. The owner is also owner of the travel agency Choique and you can book all your tours and bus tickets right from the hostel.||The hostel is a great base to explore the wonderful nature around Malargue including:||- La Payunia (over 800 volcanic cones in a desert landscape)||- Laguna de Llancanelo (a bird lover's paradise)||- Caverna de las Brujas (if you like some adventure caving)||- Valle Hermoso & Las Leñas (for high mountain scenaries)||||Every saturday night, the hostel also organize a chivo party where you can taste the local speciality: goat on the barbecue.||||A stay of 4 or 5 nights is advisable so that you really can enjoy the area.

I stayed with my girlfriend for two nights on my bicycle trip to patagonia. The staff was really helpfull and the location great if u don't want or need to go to the town( u better get the things u need before) . It has typical food everyday at a very low price and we had the chance to have an asado with the staff and the people tjat was hosted at the time.the place is for everyone but I really recomend it for couples that want to enjoy nature and a quiet and super chill place

Well managed, clean, affable personnel, Offers very nice country surroundings with lot of animals, dogs, chickens, horses, etc. the Hostel offers 45 minutes horse back riding at a reasonable price. The drawback is that you can only have meat turnovers from it or expensive pizza only delivery and there are 6 miles to town and 2 of those are on very hard large pebble road.||Getting to it was very difficult to find , even with a GPS moderately priced, but expensive for what it was as a Hostel.

It looks nice however it is a long way out of town even if you have a car as there is plenty to do in town.....you will find driving in and out very wearing when you can stay in the many cabanas near town [opposite the casino and garage ] for half the price and have a kitchen too !!||As Eco hostel was booked out they could only offer us a dorm.....at the same staggering price as the rooms. Would not budge on price. Owners not very welcoming.||They organised a 4x4 for the 2 of us for Payunia however a mini bus came to take us with 9 other people....very deceitful and dishonest. They could have told us but no.

Very peacefull place. Great landscape, u need a car or transportation to rent here.
