Ok, I travel a LOT. Museums have all kinds of regulations. So I'm very careful to keep my most precious belongings, which I need to carry as an international traveler, in one TINY bag. Not a backpack. Not a messenger bag. Not a purse. But a bag JUST big enough for my passport, wallet and phone. It has never over years of traveling in multiple countries been an issue.
So we pay the admission fee, and only then are told that NO bags are allowed. None. I am supposed to put my passport and wallet and phone and cash in a locker, or stuff it in my pockets, in a damp tropical climate where it is prone to downpours, in this complex which involves walking outdoors. Craziest thing I ever heard. Fabulous little museum ruined by this insane rule. I went along with it, against my every instinct as a traveler, only for the sake of the person I was with.
This extreme, restrictive rule should be prominently displayed BEFORE customers purchase their tickets.
