Need a couple of hrs away from it all? This is the place to go. Many trails to follow. Ideal for walking, cycling, running. Bring the kids and the dogs, bring a picnic and enjoy it beside the water. If you want bring a treat for the ducks, preferably not bread. Call in at the sensory Garden or call in at the market garden and take a pic with Slemish in the background. Enjoy.

The ECOS visitor centre is on the outskirts of Ballymena. The centre highlights environmental issues and promotes a sustainable future. It's a great location for walking, running, picnics and bike riding. The woodland walk passes close to the motorway at one part, but everywhere else along the walks is peaceful near a river, lake or willow, apple and hazel trees. Its a good place to see wildfowl. There's plenty of free parking and all the walks are flat and tarmaced.

Been here many times, while a popular spot it's great for coffee, food, cakes and ice cream, it's a nice place to come for a catch up with a friend or even just some alone time. The walks around the well kept nature park are relaxing with lots of wildlife, rivers and the lake.... All in all a great place to visit whether you want a jog, a free gym or simply a relaxing walk.... One of the easiest 5 stars I could probably give
