"As the country where bungee jumping and jet boating were both invented, New Zealand has a proud heritage as a destination for travelers seeking action-and-adventure thrills. On Waiheke Island, a short 40-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland , it's possible to ride an exciting three-stage zip line over vineyards and native forest. All the while, the dramatic, soaring profile of the city's Sky Tower is visible across the Hauraki Gulf—and guess what: It's also possible to walk around the tower's narrow halo at a height of more than 600 feet, and then leap off in a tether-controlled jump. Welcome to New Zealand!"

Tried the zipline in Waiheke Island for the first time in my life and it was absolutely exhilarating! 🌿💨 Soaring above the lush landscapes and vineyards, feeling the wind in my hair, it was an adrenaline rush like no other. Overall, fantastic experiene and I loveeeee it! Definitely guys a must-try experience for anyone visiting this beautiful island! 😍😍😍

Had an exceptional and unforgettable time at ecozip. I’d suggest coming late december to january/february as the weather can fluctuate between rain, drizzle, heavy wind and sun during mid december. Kyle and Charlotte were very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. As someone who is afraid of heights, they ensured the activity goes smoothly, safely and most of all enjoyable. The forest walk is a little bit challenging so if you are bringing a young child or an older person, it might be helpful to inform them about it. The ziplines were so fun and I love that they organized it from smallest to the tallest to warm us up. Overall I think it’s an awesome activity to do with friends and family. You get pictures, phone straps, etc if you wish to purchase them. Definitely a must-do if you’re in waiheke.

Great experience from go to whoa. Pick up and logistics pretty straightforward. Local tourist tips super helpful. The zips themselves as exciting as advertised. Guides Jody and Jessie marvellous and driver Marcus fully onto it. Highly recommended! (Tip - do buy the phone lanyards and do take videos but work out a grip that'll stop you spinning whilst doing so...)

Google
Loved it!!!! So much fun and a fab way to see Waiheke! Our guides Charlotte and Ben were reassuring, fun and knowledgable. The ziplining was exciting! The native bush walk after was a lovely surprise. I have seen native bush many times, but this was quite special. Charlotte knew a lot about this precious piece of land. A Waiheke Island holiday highlight! Thanks to all!

Google
Amazing fun we have with Eco zipline!! Views, staff were amazing. We were booked in for ultimate experience which includes air craft ride over the island and wine tasting with lunch. The only frustrating thing was the mis-management by Eco Zipline. After our ride, waiheke wings people had no idea what we were booked for, they made couple calls and confirmed our booking, we walked to the lunch venue and then the transfer to the ferry terminal was arranged. The walk was short but when you are paying for ultimate experience, I would expect the whole experience to go smooth.

Google
Great hospitality, tour and adventure from pick up to drop off, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We got to drive around some of Waiheke Island, enjoy the ziplines and a stunning short hike through the forest. I highly recommend this tour and company! DeBecker and Macey were excellent guides, thank you!

Google
Lovely day zip lining with EcoZip Adventures on Waiheke Island today! They picked us up from the Waiheke Island Ferry Terminal, and drove us to the site. The staff were friendly and professional, and we had a great time zip lining the 3 courses. Beautiful views as well. Finished off with a bush walk back up, and dropped back off at Oneroa Village and the Ferry Terminal

Yelp
Fantastic experience and terrific staff. Highly recommended. Three zips through beautiful forest vistas. The nature walk at the end is very informative. Don't skip this portion of the tour. At the end of our tour we were serenaded by a friendly shuttle bus driver playing his uke and singing Elvis. If you come to Waiheke, you must come here!

Yelp
I have done Zip Lines in Costa Rica, México and Colorado in the US. This Zip Line rivals all of them. The combination of the thrill combined with nature is very well done. I highly recommend it. Definitely worth the trip to the best island around New Zealand

Yelp
So... they sell these ingenious rubber bungee cords that can wrap around your phone/device if you want to use it while on the zip lines. Incredible... I bought one and used it during my entire trip in New Zealand. This is probably most enticing for those that don't own Go-Pros. The Go-Pro owners reading this are probably snickering at me... ;) Ecozip will pick you up at the ferry station, drive you 10-15 minutes along a beautiful road with a few scenic views, suit you up in well-maintained clean gear, and even take pictures for you during your zipline experience. The zips were pleasant, and I would recommend this course to anyone who is new to ziplining or working on overcoming a fear of heights. One of my favorite (and unexpected) parts of the experience was the 20 minute hike back to the main station. Our zipline guide did a great job explaining the plant life and tales of the forest. Bonus!

Yelp
This was honestly such a great experience, I just wish there were more than three ziplines. The first zipline is such a small one and I thought it was a practice one. However, I really appreciate the sunscreen and thorough training that they provided. The walk back from the third zipline through the jungle is gorgeous, but you really need some water because it was HOT and no one had any water and we were struggling walking back up hill almost the whole way with no water. Gorgeous ziplining that was a good adventure, but probably overpriced for what we actually got.

Yelp
First time going, and this won't be my last :) I never thought it would be sooo much fun. The location and scenery was absolutely stunning. At first I didn't want to go because I'm afraid of heights but eventually my friend talked me into it. The price pp was $119 which is pretty decent, and so I think if you do come and visit Waiheke island, this place is a must go!! :D

Yelp
I'm scared of heights but this was worth it. Great staff and facility. All 3 zips are great and the staff is patient. The hike afterwards was surprisingly breathtaking.

Yelp
This was a great experience. The view enhanced the experience and the guides were very personable. A guide named Troy was very professional and a good bloke

Yelp
My husband and I booked a zipline tour for our honeymoon a couple weeks ago. Despite the rainy weather and some chilly winds, the course was so much fun and gorgeous. They let me borrow rainboots so I didn't get my shoes dirty. The zipline itself was great, and I love the automatic braking feature. We also loved out zipline/tour guides, as well as the staff member who picked us up at the ferry and showed us around. They even went out of their way to drop us off where we wanted on the island rather than going straight back to the ferry.

Yelp
This was an amazing entertainment value. You ferry over to the island (yes there's an additional ferry charge) - it's a short walk from the ferry to the delightful little shops that are the kind of shops you have been looking for your entire trip. Our friends raved about Devonport from a past visit years ago and were disappointed that Devonport is not the same anymore- they were delighted to discover the vibe they were looking for on Waiheke Island. THEN it gets better- you get to zipline! They will pick you up from the town, if you call and ask, saving you a walk back to the ferry. The zip line staff was amazingly caring and competent. The zip lines are long enough and high enough to satisfy your thrill folk and - who knew such a thing existed in zip lines - you don't have to use your hand to brake - these lines are self braking!! Don't worry, they don't brake until the very end:) Our party finished our NZ trip up with this zip line experience - so glad we did!

Yelp
Soo much FUN! Whoo hoo! Flying through the air with the greatest of ease! Stunning, really. It was my first time zip lining so needless to say I was a little timid (scared sh*tless). But the guides were so amazingly professional and reassuring, not to mention just down right cool, that I felt completely comfortable in letting them strap me up and then off I went! Such a brilliant experience! I cannot wait to go back and do it again. Such glorious views! There are three lines you get to zip through and then there is about a half hour walk back up to the main office through a gorgeous rain forest. And what a great walk it was! We even hugged trees (big smile), it was incredibly grounding, really, and just so beautifully uplifting. If you get the chance, go. Go zip line here!!

Yelp
Troy and Ellie were very pleasant tour guides for our ziplining experience, and we were impressed by the equipment (such as the nice ladder they use to get you down at the end of each line, the new platforms and wooden walkways on the hike back to the starting point). I only wish there were more than just three zips, but then that would probably entail transporting customers from the end point. Our driver who picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off afterward was very pleasant as well, giving a nice guided tour of the island as he drove us to our destination.

Yelp
Visited Waiheke Island while in Auckland and wanted to try zip lining for the first time. Left my friends at the beach and met the van at the pick up location. Excellent driver, sadly I have forgotten his name, and a nice picturesque trip up to Trig Hill. All of the staff at Ecozip were very friendly and knowledgeable. The 3 zip lines were amazing and I wish they had lasted longer. The guides were great. Highly recommended and a great value. My only regret was not renting the Go-Pro. After we were done I was meeting my friends down in Onetangi at Casita Miro and the driver offered to drop me off. 30 minutes later, while we were lounging on the upper patio, the driver walks up and hands me my prescription sunglasses which I thought I had lost somewhere along the way. He went out of his way to track me down when he found them in the van. Now that is service!

Yelp
What a great experience! The island is so beautiful and zip lining was out of this world. Everyone was so friendly and made my day.
