Not quite what we expected. We visited on a Saturday, since many reviews suggested that’s the best day for sellers. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as lively or varied as we hoped. The whole market took less than an hour to see, which felt short given how long the ride was from the city center. Might be interesting if you're nearby or love browsing any kind of flea market, but I'd suggest managing expectations about size and travel time.

Nice spot for flea market lovers – there’s a special vibe and some interesting stalls. The downside is that vendors start packing up very early. We were there on a Saturday, and by 12 PM they were already closing down.

We went there Sunday morning but had very few people and sellers around. It had mostly antiques, furnitures, film cameras and almost no clothes. It’s more addressed to collectors or people who search for vintage items.

Update Feb 8, 2025. I went out the Ecseri this morning and by 9:55 AM the vendors who set up in the parking lot were already packing up to leave. Seems kind of ridicules to leave so early. Normal market inside was just OK, not a ton of buyers saw much of the same merchandise I've seen in past visits, much of it overpriced and damaged. There are a couple of dealers who do a great job and others selling fairly beat up stuff. As I noticed before I see more and more of these dealers on Sunday over at the much busier and less expensive market in Buda, attempting to make a buck. If you speak English prepare to be hit with higher prices and really have to haggle for a decent price. It seems the best day to go is on a Saturday, but if it's raining it's not going to be very much fun because the more interesting outside vendors won't be there. It's also best to get there early because people start closing up by 12 or 1. And yes the prices seem to get higher each time I go and the merchandise less interesting. There were so few visitors when I visited this last Saturday that people were begging me to come into their stalls. As with most places like this you have to haggle for a good price, if you are an American they automatically assume you have lots of money so the asking price will start HIGH, so don't accept the first price you get. There are several food stand out there but the food is kinda greasy basic, the place that sells strudel is ok, but if you get the cherry one be really careful because there are always cherry pits in it, this last week I found 3, so be careful.

Whether you are a tourist or a local, spending the day at this market is such a great activity! I truly love coming back here every once in a while, the vendors are nice, the items they sell are both interesting and full of history, and the artists have such a unique style! My experience here is beyond positive, not only I recommend it, but I bring all my friends here as well

Fantastic place. They work on weekends but I went there in a normal working day. I could find some afew shops. Still, I could buy amazing things there. Highly recommend you. You can buy things directly in EURO too. No card!

I visited mid week not all open. Weekend is more busy with lots more stalls. I was very happy with my visit. Easy to get to by metro then local bus, get off bus walk over the overpass and you are there. If over 65 transport is free 😁

Great place to get a touch of the way things were. Some hidden treasures include gramophone recorders and players from the 19th century around 4k euros. When we visited, many of the shops were closed post Easter. But definitely worth visiting. Even had an old rpg launcher for sale
