Edelmira Hotel Boutique

Very nice hotel in the center of town. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice and clean. We received a complementary breakfast with the room when we booked. ——-the food was very . My only complaint would be the air conditioning that you need to make sure is running well in advance of going to sleep(you need to have the key card inserted well in advance). I would recommend this hotel.

My daughter and I spent two nights at the Hotel Edelmira near the Jardin de la Union in Guanajuato. The hotel is in a perfect location just off the main square and allowed us to easily walk from place to place. The people who work here are very friendly and the room was absolutely perfect for us. Because it is so close to the very active Jardin we requested a room that was quieter and they put us in a beautiful double bed room that looks out to the courtyard. It was very quiet and we slept wonderfully. The only criticism if that when we arrived the room had two Nespresso pods and water. When I asked for the second night I was told we would need to pay for them- as they are only given the first night. It’s not a big deal to pay for them but given the hotel was on the pricier side, I was surprised that they would not provide two small pod’s without an extra charge. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and I would absolutely recommend the hotel for your stay in Guanajuato

I had room 30 which was nice size, and comfortable. The windows face a central atrium, so there is good natural light. You enter the room on an upper level, and go down a staircase. I rearranged the furniture as there was a bit of wasted space at the bottom of the staircase..||Staff is helpful and friendly. The included breakfast is excellent and includes fruit, breads, juice, coffee, eggs to order and some other choices.||Just across the hall from the room is a nice size bar area that didn’t seem to be in use. There are good views from the windows and comfortable tables and chairs if you need to do any work, or want to sit with a friend and talk.||The hotel has a perfect location- just off a lovely, leafy square ringed with good restaurants.

Poor customer service changed our 5 star to 1 star rating. My friend made an error in her initial reservation and discovered within a few days, and 6 weeks prior to our stay, that 5 rooms were booked instead of one. My friend emailed the hotel and received written confirmation from the hotel that the reservation was corrected. When we arrived, there were 5 rooms on the reservation. The kind and efficient front desk staff, Eileen, tried for an hour to correct this error, and continued to work on this during our three day stay, and after our return home 1 week later. It is still not resolved. There is no clear way to communicate with the hotel supervisor nor Staybridge as to how to correct this error. ||That being said, the local staff were very accommodating. The hotel is comfortable and in an ideal location. However, ultimately they have failed to respond responsibly and in a timely manner to resolving a significant error. No senior managerial hotel company staff have been available to my friend, nor was any contact information provided to us at the level required to address this. The front desk staff Eileen made a significant effort to intercede on our behalf, but she required supervisors to correct the error.

Definitely worth the price! In my case, the hotel was not noisy at all and felt very safe. Everything was near by which was great since you could easily walk all around. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and service couldn’t have been better. They took care and informed us of tours going around the city and set up any transportation (to the airport or another city) for those who don’t have a car. If I’m ever back in the city, I’m definitely booking with this hotel again!

Very sweet boutique hotel. Such a warm space beautiful welcoming lobby and best part a wonderful but small almost a lap pool. But gives a relaxed therapeutic feeling. Loved it. ||Rooms are spacious and comfortable and bright with huge amount of natural light coming due to large windows. |Please select rooms overlooking the Main Street as windows are bigger and more cheerful rooms. ||All in all a pleasant experience. As you get down you are in happening little town. Worth every penny !

Central location close to all the action. Comfortable rooms, lots of pillows and towels provided. We appreciated the numerous hangers in the room for our clothing. Beautiful view from the third floor terrace. Pool area is small, but nice. WiFi is so so. Pretty strong in the rooms, but not so much in the common areas.
