Eden Beach

Eden Beach is secluded and around 600 metres long, with soft sand. It is a good place to relax, with no crowds from cruise ships. Access is straightforward. Park at Landing Bay Beach. Walk towards Hawksbill by Rex and tell security you are heading to Eden Beach. Once inside the grounds, follow the road uphill and back down. Pass through the white gate signed Eden Beach. You will pass two smaller resort beaches. Keep walking until you reach the final gate. You do not need to enter any resort-only areas. The beach itself is pleasant. Large rocks line much of the shoreline. The waves were strong during our visit. Only the start of the beach felt safe for swimming. On windy days, there is little shelter from blowing sand. Sun loungers are available for resort guests only. No facilities!

Stayed at the Hawksbill resort, but Eden Beach was where we spent most of the time. Not too far of a walk from the resort, the sand is nice, you sink in a little along the water. A few safe entry points into the water midway about 200 feet past the guard shack where it is sandy, but everywhere else, rocky and not safe. I did get stung by a jellyfish, or sea nettle, not terribly painful but surprised me. As far as how busy this beach gets, it doesn't. Of the 3 days I spent there so far (still here) there's about 10-12 people total at any given time and most are partaking in the same clothing optional luxury. It's calm, peaceful and respectful, the only gawkers are the occasional party boat that passes by, but it's not like it really matters. Go for it!!! There are chairs along the beach and you can usually find one for yourself. Bring your towels snacks and drinks.

The combination of raw natural beauty, tranquility, and the option for a more liberated experience made it unforgettable. Whether you go for the clothing optional vibe or just to soak in the peace, this beach offers something rare and special. 👉 Highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, and anyone looking to go beyond the typical tourist beach experience in Antigua.

A very nice long stretch of beach. The only official nude beach on the island. You have to walk through the resort to get to the beach. Lots of shady trees and bushes to relax under. Not the best beach to swim at. The water is very rocky for most of the beach and you should be careful of sea urchins as well.

Great beach, the 4th beach that is. It used to be very busy but is quiet and relaxing now. There are some days when it's full of activity. Great place to chill out from the hustle and bustle. Almost a mile long beach to enjoy. Refrain from touching the manchineel trees, they can severely burn you if touched and don't eat the fruit. They look like small green apples and have a sweet smelling scent. They will burn your throat and cause breathing issues and in some cases cause death. No vendors to worry about. Make sure you bring your refreshments and snacks. Swim out to the rock and look at the marine life. Or just let it all hang out on the beach. Be careful though, the sun's rays are more direct and if you're not careful, you'll end up burning yourself especially those parts that aren't used to seeing the sun.

What’s not to like when you can sun bath in your most natural state? To get here, enter through the Hawksbill by rex resorts and walk through the gates (see photo). You will find yourself with a long stretch of sand and free usage of beach chairs. Swim to the rock if you want to see some marine life, but be aware of the sea urchins. Water shoes highly recommended.

Eden beach is a little bit or paradise in paradise. While this is a slightly more challenging location to get to if you're not staying in the Hawksbill Hotel, its absolutely worth it. Walking naked along you basically private Caribbean beach is a phenomenal experience. You do need to choose where to get into the water carefully, but is that really the end of the world! Absolutely worth a trip!

Eden is open again (Nov 23). Just say to the people at gate to Hawkesbill that you want to use the beach. They will politely advise that there is 'construction ' and to be careful walking the hotel path. No construction on Eden though. So peaceful, so relaxing and generally fairly deserted. If you are nervous about naked you will be able to find a private spot or maybe have this massive beach all to yourself as I did for some of the time I was there. As with other reviews, be careful getting in the water. Around the hut is usually best and pick a 'landmark' so you can find the same spot to return. If you do go for a swim and have mask or goggles, the island supports some pretty marine life and there don't appear to be any dangerous currents between it and the beach. ... and it is 'clothing optional' so there is no pressure to go nude.
