I really wanted to give Eden Roc Miami a chance despite the mixed reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was just as bad—if not worse—than what others have warned about.
The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful from the start. We had three people in our room, yet were told that each room only includes two beach chairs, and if we wanted a third, we’d have to pay $25—plus $35 for an umbrella, plus $5 tax per item. While we were using just two chairs, a worker came over and removed our umbrella, telling us we hadn’t paid for it. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary.
On top of that, the food was mediocre at best—nothing special, certainly not worth the prices. The entire experience was overshadowed by the hostility and poor attitude of the staff, which made it hard to enjoy anything.
That said, I do want to mention the one bright spot of our stay: Louis. He was the only attentive and genuinely kind person we encountered. Louis went out of his way to be helpful, friendly, and professional. He’s truly the nicest person ever, and thanks to him, there was at least one positive part of our trip.
We genuinely wanted to have a good time and chose to ignore the negative reviews, but now I understand where they were coming from. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing or pleasant stay in Miami—unless Louis is running the show.
