John Leguizamo’s Grub Street Diet

"I flew out to Miami and went straight to the Nobu Eden Roc hotel for lunch because I was starving. I had a meeting in one of their restaurants with some investors and producers of a project. We had hummus with lots of crudités, a slice of cauliflower wheat pizza, and some build-your-own fish tacos. Plus lots of Fiji water, a coffee, and an iced tea." - Vanita Salisbury

We booked a day pass because we had finished our cruise and we were waiting for our flight and it was so brilliant we changed our flights to stay the night! I am 55 years old and have never done that before! So worth it. Rico Delargo and his team are exceptional and the hotel and facilities amazing. Food is great and the vibe is relaxed but trendy. Various ages and groups from singles to families etc. The pool are and the beach are gorgeous and it was such a great way to finish our cruise. Thank you everyone :-0

Received a day day pass for my birthday and this place was very nice. I had access to the spa and all amenities. Everything was n8ce from the time I arrived to the time I left. The message was exceptional. I felt so relaxed afterwards. I used the steam room, suna and the hot and cold jacuzzi. The ration area is just. A area where you can go after your message and look out at the ocean, so peaceful. After using all the inside amenities I went outside to the beach, which was set up very nice. The pool and entertainment area is very nice. The staff was welcoming and very professional. I would definitely recommend everyone to go for the day to get away and relax.

I had a work conference at Eden Roc. The resort was nice, clean and in a good location. The room was good for the most part - the tub doesn't drain, and ended up being clogged the first time my wife took a bath. The beach access and pools are nice and well kept. The pool staff was great and very nice! What ruined my experience was the main bar. We were here for a work conference and had a few drinks with co workers, and before we knew it they shut the bar down and we all had no idea where our cards were! We asked hotel staff about it and they seemed very indifferent to helping us find our cards. I had to ask for a night manager and he came down and acted like he didn't care either. I told him I'm fine paying my tab, all I need is a receipt and my card back! It took them almost an hour to find my card (security outside had my card for whatever reason). The bar never stopped by the table to tell us that they were closing, or had any disclosures saying they give the cards to security if you don't cash out by the time they close. It was a very unprofessional and disappointing experience. The staff here is on autopilot and they do make it apparent that they don't care about their client's stay. Are they the worst place to stay? No. But I would highly recommend staying at a different spot if you visit Miami as Eden Roc does very poor with customer service. There are plenty of options and I would recommend checking into different options.

This hotel was a complete disappointment. Some of the staff were rude, and one of them even argued with us instead of helping. They blocked YouTube kids on the TV, which is ridiculous for a family hotel. They didn’t have proper life jackets for kids, and the pool water was freezing cold with zero effort to warm it up. Most guests were sitting around instead of actually enjoying the pool. There is nothing fun for children here. Definitely not a family-friendly hotel and not worth the money.

Google
A truly wonderful, family-friendly hotel! This review is from the perspective of traveling to Miami Beach with a baby, and in short—I can say this hotel was excellent. Since it shares some facilities with the neighboring five-star Nobu Hotel, the property is beautiful and offers a wide range of amenities. The pool in particular was fantastic—peaceful and calm, with a relaxed crowd, making it easy to enjoy with children. The room was also baby-friendly. A microwave for baby food could be rented for $35 during our stay, and a crib could be reserved in advance. The only drawback was the in-room refrigerator, which was packed with drinks that all incurred extra charges, leaving no space for our own beverages or our baby’s drinks. We requested an additional mini fridge, which was available for $35. A kettle was provided free of charge. The hospitality of the staff was another highlight. Everyone was always smiling and greeted us warmly, which made our stay especially pleasant. Thank you very much for such a comfortable experience!

I did not have a pleasant experience with this hotel. Compared to other options at Miami Beach, you can definitely find a much more positive and professional atmosphere elsewhere. The staff here do not provide sincere or caring service. Imagine taking an intensive workout class at the hotel and then being told you cannot use the shower afterward — that’s exactly what happened to me. When we spoke to the hotel manager, he acted polite but clearly didn’t care about resolving the issue, just smiled and moved on. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you value genuine hospitality and comfort.

I really wanted to give Eden Roc Miami a chance despite the mixed reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was just as bad—if not worse—than what others have warned about. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful from the start. We had three people in our room, yet were told that each room only includes two beach chairs, and if we wanted a third, we’d have to pay $25—plus $35 for an umbrella, plus $5 tax per item. While we were using just two chairs, a worker came over and removed our umbrella, telling us we hadn’t paid for it. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary. On top of that, the food was mediocre at best—nothing special, certainly not worth the prices. The entire experience was overshadowed by the hostility and poor attitude of the staff, which made it hard to enjoy anything. That said, I do want to mention the one bright spot of our stay: Louis. He was the only attentive and genuinely kind person we encountered. Louis went out of his way to be helpful, friendly, and professional. He’s truly the nicest person ever, and thanks to him, there was at least one positive part of our trip. We genuinely wanted to have a good time and chose to ignore the negative reviews, but now I understand where they were coming from. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing or pleasant stay in Miami—unless Louis is running the show.

We had such a wonderful stay at Eden Roc Hotel in Miami! The service was excellent when we arrived, and the people welcomed us. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with clear rules that made everything easy and comfortable. A very special thank you to Nora in reception, who was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, and her kindness stood out. What makes Eden Roc Hotel special is that its service is always consistent. Every time we return, we’re reminded why it’s our favorite place to stay. The staff, the atmosphere, and the overall experience always make us feel happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Eden Roc Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Miami!

Yelp
Eden Roc is a hidden gem. It's priced extremely well for the amenities that it offers. There are three pools, bikes to rent and full services bars by each pool area. They have rooms that provide an Ocean View as well, which is extremely nice. Service and personnel are five stars. Everyone is super helpful. A tip is to get a King Bed Ocean view if possible. The bed is generally facing the window which could provide a nice wake up view. The Queens face the television set up so you don't have a direct outside view, but it depends on who you're with!

Yelp
We absolutely love this property. The pools, hot tubs, beach access, sunscreen machine are 5 star. Cafe Inez has great iced coffee, sandwiches, fruit & cheese / mouse cakes.

Yelp
Lovely lobby and very nice staff but rooms have dinghy floor tiles and banging plumbing that rattles loudly. Had to make several calls about the banging pipes in bathroom and guest services does not answer the phone AT ALL half the time. Even the ice bucket, made of wood leaks. Lost an entire morning of our short stay with maintenance issues and having to move to another room. These things happen. But, overall except for the lobby and the public areas the place looks and operates like an inexpensive motel that's been only partially updated.

Yelp
Our spa day at Eden Roc was a rollercoaster of relaxation and interruptions. Starting on a high note, the massages themselves were fantastic--truly top-notch and soothing. Outside, the pool area buzzed with a fun atmosphere, adding a lively vibe to our visit. The front desk staff also brought a touch of kindness, greeting us warmly. However, the spa's relaxation room faced water damage, and the sounds of hallway traffic during treatments lessened the serenity we craved. Additionally, the limited snack options and a non-operational steam room were letdowns. Eden Roc usually spells luxury, but this visit was a mix of fabulous and forgettable.

Yelp
ONE STAR. While the Eden Roc is a gorgeous hotel and the on-premises staff is friendly, they like to put unidentified and fraudulent charges on your credit card and then give you the run around when you try to have them explained or removed. I recently booked a stay at this hotel for my mother (flying in from costa rica) and my aunt for mother's day. My aunt put her credit card down for the incidentals ONLY, as I had booked and planned to pay for their stay on my credit card. They ended up charging the stay to my aunt (thus ruining the gift experience). I asked if I could have chocolate covered strawberries in their room for their arrival, the front desk then transferred me to room service, when I asked them they said they'd email me a link to order them, they never did. No in-room surprise, that too was ruined. And finally, to add insult to injury, they added a $230 random charge to my aunt's credit card as she was checking out. She noticed it and asked what it was for, and they made up some story, gave her a run around and said if she wanted it removed she'd need to contact their account department via email on the next available business day, instead of just removing it then and there. THEN they added another $15 miscellaneous charge a day after she left the hotel. They did remove the $230 charge but she is STILL fighting to get her $15 back and they keep giving her a run around endlessly, This has been going on for 3 weeks! Unacceptable. This hotel should be ashamed. DO NOT BOOK HERE, especially if you're trying to gift someone you love a good experience. They are crooks.

Yelp
Superb service. Nice views. Love my room. Will stay here again. Little get away doesn't hurt anyone.

Yelp
Room was not properly cleaned . Took towels that were not replaced. Didn't refill mini bar in room. Didn't replace used ice bucket and glasses. No up to part for the prices you pay at all.
