Edenhall Estate

Kiri cottage was amazing-perfect for 3 day stay (Feb 2026) for myself, friend & two dogs! Good file provided re local info/to-do-some lovely walks around the estate, through the village & down by the river. The cottage is exactly like the pictures - stylish, very warm & cosy (never stayed in such a warm place - the underfloor heating downstairs was fantastic-our feet & the dogs were in cosy heaven!). Everywhere was super presented; bedrooms & bathrooms & downstairs immaculate. Shower gels, shampoo, hand wash (all really good quality) provided. Enclosed garden outside was very safe for our dogs & can imagine sitting there in warmer weather very relaxing). Hot tub fab! Warm welcome in person from staff as we arrived & surprise of bottle of prosecco & handwritten welcome card on the kitchen table. Have already recommended to friends & would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge on Edenhall Estate to celebrate a recent birthday. The Lodge was fab - private, cosy, and is literally feet from the water. It has everything you need including a hot tub (which saw plenty of use as we relaxed and watched the river roll by). The team at Edenhall were amazing, particularly Catherine, who helped organise some beautiful flowers for the birthday girl. We were welcomed by a lovely card and bottle of fizz. Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all. We will definitely go again. Thank you to the whole team at Edenhall, who clearly go the extra mile to make sure that their guests enjoy their stay.

We had THE BEST holiday at Edenhall! We stayed over New Year in Kiri Cottage with our Labrador. We had tons of walks in the beautiful surroundings. We made full use of the hot tub! The nearby Ullswater Lake is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Check out Fellside Saunas for a fab experience and walking Alpacas at nearby Lingholm. The staff at Edenhall are friendly and helpful and the cottage was warm and cosy. A beautiful bath in the master bedroom and the bed was so comfortable - I slept so well. I've booked again for the summer! Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so special.

Had a wonderful break with my daughter and dog. Kiri cottage is really beautiful and well equipped. The setting is exceptional. Edenhall Estate is tranquil and stunning estate. The owner, Mark, and team are exceptionally friendly and rapidly make you feel at home whilst also giving you space, staying in the background, but always on hand. We had a fabulous morning in the woods doing archery and axe throwing with Richard who should get a special mention for how great he was with my 13 year old daughter who chatted to him non-stop - no mean feat. We’ll definitely be back and hope to try out all the properties!

We’ve just left an AMAZING week at Udford House part of the Edenhall Estate properties. It’s the perfect balance between complete isolation on the property vs being 10 minutes from everything you could possibly need in Penrith. The house was warm, cozy and welcoming which can be hard to tell online. The Edenhall team were great the whole way through.

Had the perfect birthday weekend in the Forrest cabin. It felt completely private – so peaceful and tucked away, just what we needed to switch off. The cabin was equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the customer service from the Edenhall team was exceptional. The hot tub was amazing, and the shower was brilliant too. The mezzanine bed was extremely comfortable, making for a very restful sleep. It was too warm for the log burner this time, but I can imagine it being incredibly cosy in winter. Can’t wait to come back!

I recently stayed at Udford house with friends - we loved our stay so much! The location was only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Penrith but nice and secluded for that nature getaway feel. The house felt very homely and stylish with a nice big hosting room. We enjoyed the hot tub and also watching all the cows in the neighbouring farm from the garden. The self check-in and check-out process couldn’t be easier with great communication from the hosts. We will be back in the future and recommend this stay!

We stayed in Sala Cottage for a short family break. The cottage was beautifully appointed, with fantastic views over the estate. We have stayed at several cottages in the region and Sala is certainly the best of a strong selection, feeling very much like a home from home. The Edenhall team were friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be looking to visit again. The Eden Valley is a wonderful, quiet corner of Cumbria, which acts as a fantastic gateway to the Lakes. Ullswater is a short 20 minute drive away and Keswick around 30 minutes, but what you sacrifice in convenience you more than make up for in terms of added peace and tranquility. If you’re looking at booking Edenhall but are concerned about being “too far out” don’t be - it’s a magical hidden gem of a place.
