"We also like to go to Edgartown Diner, which is Black owned. It’s really divey with great diner food. Dapper Dan goes there with his wife."

Google
Great food and service. Clam chowder was perfect and not too salty like 90% of places. The waitress went above and beyond for our baby. Prices are reasonable.

Google
What a wonderful little diner to come in and have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We enjoyed a late breakfast here. I had the eggs Benedict and it was really good. Also had a chicken sandwich. My husband really enjoyed that as well. The service is top-notch. Such a quaint and wonderful little place to come and sit back and relax and enjoy a very nice meal.

Google
This is a really nice diner in Edgartown which has good vegetarian options like veggie burger. I also tried the veggie omlette and it was perfect! My toddler had the funny face pancake and loved it! Our server was not at all attentive though. Other servers helped us more than she did. They have clean restrooms too.

Google
It was very busy so we thought it would be good..it was okay diner food just okay. Service was good, food came out hot and prices weren't bad for the area.. for the 2 of us it was $60 and that included tip.

Google

Google
Classic diner. Great food, great vibe. Love the Trivial Pursuit Genus cards at each table. Great for breakfast and lunch. Nice non-diner food options for vegetarians. Right in downtown with good parking and within walking distance from waterfront and hotels.

Google
A most visited when on the island. Food is terrific and servers are equally wonderful.

Google
What a wonderful diner to get lunch at in Edgartown! We were down on the vineyard for the day while spending a week in Falmouth. Excellent service and food is incredible. Staff welcomed us in with open arms and served us very well. Fried chicken and waffles is strongly recommended. Candy crush soda is also very good. I have been craving their chicken and waffles ever since going there this past summer. Thanks for a wonderful meal, Edgartown Diner!

Yelp
Cute small diner was busy. Food was tasty. Came out quickly. Real diner feel. Servers fast and friendly. Great stop for reasonably priced breakfast.

Yelp
I have not tried the Diner yet because their hours are not posted correctly. They are only open on the weekends in the winter. So make sure you call or read this post. I have heard great things so I am excited to eat here.

Yelp
The food here is very good! It's truly a diner style eating and ordering. You will have a bit of a wait (15-20 minutes), but the service is fast. It's recommended you review the menu as you wait, so you can order quickly. That helps them stay efficient with the waiting time. They offer brunch cocktails but not the best mix. There is not a bathroom within the restaurant. You have to ask for the key and go in the hallway. The parking is also limited, so it's best to grab parking where you find it, and walk over. The best for me were the home fries. I added peppers and tomatoes. They will accommodate substitutions and add ons for an up charge.

Yelp
Hubby and I ate here early am before our flight back home. You might miss if you are entering from main, you have to walk through the cinema all the way to the back. Upon opening the door you are instantly transported to a 1950s diner. Oldies were playing and every inch of the wall is donned with diner memorabilia. I ordered the Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was amazing. Crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. My husband got the Philly omelette w/ skillet potatoes and homemade biscuits. He finished everything, even the potatoes. Plot twist....he doesn't like potatoes. I think that says it all, enter freely they've been approved

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch while in Edgartown with my son. We needed a break from seafood so we were happy with the diner. My son ordered a burger and I ordered the corn beef breakfast. I got a corn bread with my breakfast instead of biscuit or toast. The corn bread was the best part of my food. Slightly sweet and toasty. I could eat it everyday. We both enjoyed our food. The diner inside is adorable. I loved the decorations. I felt like I was actually in a 50's diner. Our waitress was nice. Highly recommend for a meal in edgartown if you need a seafood break!

Yelp
Great Service ,, great atmosphere,, and very clean. Polite. Excellent location. Parking in the rear , if available.

Yelp
Went for brunch and got a Pastrami Burger and the Farmers Omelette. The burger was juicy and was a unique combination with the pastrami that worked well. The omelette was good but the home fries that came with it were just unseasoned potatoes with some of them being not fully cooked through. The waiter was super nice and it had an old school diner vibe which was cool but other then that there was nothing super special that made it stand out.

Shay L.

Yelp
The decorations are so cute. We went close to closing time and still spent tons of time with us and the staff was great. Food was delicious and the fries were so crispy and good

Thomas J.

Yelp
Small place but a bit crowded at lunch time when buses are in town. Service was good, food tasty and great value in a very expensive place. Decor was a true diner experience.

Yelp
Good food. Casual atmosphere. Quick breakfast and friendly staff. Perfect for a summer morning. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Old diner classic. Great food and service ! Laid back fun breakfast place. One of many choices and worth a stop.
google avatar

Yelp
Really nice little diner. The food is really solid. We got the All American with eggs (perfectly) poached and the banana bread French toast. This unique twist on the classic recipe is awesome! Service, like everywhere we'd been on the island, was great and the people are super friendly. Maybe the "bad service" reviews of restaurants come at the height of summer when there are 900 gazillion people here. We didn't experience that anywhere and Edgartown Diner is no exception. The only reason we didn't go back is just because we wanted to try different breakfast places. Go. You'll love it!!

Yelp
4 of us ate breakfast around 10:15. There were several booths and tables available at that time. It's a little tricky to find, as you see the sign from the street, but once inside you have to head down a corridor. It is in the same building as the theatre. Our server was attentive and friendly. The coffee, veggie omelette, eggs, corned beef hash, corn bread were good. Nothing special, your basic breakfast. The decor is fun, retro and they nailed the diner atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
This reminded me of a local Ruby's diner as the interior definitely had the classic diner feel to it. The staff were very friendly including our waitress, who was super nice and attentive during our stay. Amongst the group, we ordered the hash and egg omelet and chicken and waffles. The hash was okay but you can tell it was definitely from a can and was somewhat salty. Our favorite thing was the breakfast potatoes as they were flavorful and not overpowering with salt or pepper. The specialities and omelette come with biscuit, banana bread, and corn bread which they all make in house. However all three were very dry. The location is very central in Edgartown and next to the movie theater and Alchemy Bistro and Bar which is where we ate dinner one night. Overall this wasn't our favorite breakfast place in MV but the customer service made up for it.

Yelp
Wifey and I arrived on Martha's Vineyard and our daughter suggested we try this place, she and her boyfriend had eaten here on their trip to the vineyard, The diner is located in the same building as the movie theater (quirky). After walking down a long corridor and made a left we found the entrance to the diner ( if you go right then you will be at the movie theatre). When you enter the diner you get a 50's 60's vibe (more quirky). They are open for breakfast & lunch 8am-2pm. The servers were very friendly. I tried the shrimp and cheese grits, my wife tried the fish and chips( she actually had sweet potato fries). The 8 large shrimps were well seasoned however they were a little over cooked( overcooked can leave your shrimps a little tough and chewy, just a tip for you cooks out there). The cheese grits however were fantastic, order this and you'll need a nap afterwards. My wife said her fried cod was tasty even though the sweet potato fries were a little burnt. I would still suggest you give this place a try your'e bound to find something appealing on their menu.

Yelp
Food and service was very good. Old diner vibe and turn around was good. Menu offered all the breakfast favorites French toast, Waffles, omelets ...

Yvonne B.

Yelp
Very good brunch spot, so good we went back the next day try them for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Kathie O.

Yelp
Great straight- up diner food, with a 1950's vibe. The staff is outstanding -- friendly, efficient. Prices are great. The breakfasts have never let us down -- fresh, good. Families are more than welcome
google avatar

Roann B.

Yelp
Please do not go here. Slow and uninterested servers. Long waits. Food DREADFUL! Over easy eggs were rubbery and actually barely edible. Toast not really toasted. Bacon pre-cooked and like cardboard. Potatoes ok!! For a "diner", one generally expects a well cooked basic breakfast, but this was an epic fail!!! How does this place survive on this elegant setting????

Yelp
Our large bus group converged on this sweet diner like a horde of locusts. The staff handled it pretty well considering it was the week before Labor Day, tons of tourists and then our group. I ordered a blt and it was delicious! On my first visit two years ago, I ordered a cheeseburger that was also quite good. Edgartown Diner will be my go to lunch stop whenever I'm on Martha's Vineyard!

Yelp
This was our first visit to the Edgartown Diner. We were pleased with some aspects of our breakfast and were disappointed with others. I'm giving it 4 stars due to the vast menu offerings; I look forward to trying some of their other dishes. The diner's decor is like stepping back in time; they did a wonderful job with the look though the lights and fans are getting a bit tattered. The service was good and bad: our server had little time for us and tossed dishes into the bus bin which rattled most everyone in the restaurant. Perhaps she was having a bad day? The food runner, however, was quite pleasant and offered to get us whatever else we needed. I ordered the Southern Bennie which is poached eggs on cornbread with gravy. My breakfast companion had the traditional bennie. Our poached eggs were spot on perfectly cooked. The cornbread was delicious and the chicken more moist than crispy - but still good. There wasn't much gravy on my dish so I asked for more; I would not do that again as the gravy did not have much flavor at all. The side of potatoes were good but nothing too special. Since our server was not very attentive, we decided to see how long we would have to sit there with dirty dishes on our table waiting for our check. After 17 minutes, she won and we gave up. We asked the other server to have ours meet us at the front so we could cash out. All-in-all, we enjoyed our meal and we'll be back to give it another try.

Yelp
Great place for a perfect 1950s ambience with excellent basic American food. Service is great ambience is great, prices are good and food is fantastic for what it is.

Yelp
Country Benedict was out of this world, eggs weren't runny but it was still amazing I'd def come back

Yelp
Yes. Yes. Yes. Everything about this place is amazing. We happen to love classic diners and this place hits the mark. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was fantastic- maybe some of the best breakfast food I've had- and certainly my favorite breakfast place on the island. My boyfriend got the Southern Bennie and I cannot stress this enough: GET IT. Incredible. I had the typical eggs and breakfast meat platter which was perfect. I had my eggs poached (again, perfect). The decor is adorable. Can't wait to come back again!

H B.

Yelp
Great service, good food and family atmosphere. The music of the past made it a great diner experience. The restaurant is clean and the workers are friendly. The food came out hot and was a nice morning treat.

Megan M.

Yelp
The theming and vibe of this little diner are fantastic - it's truly a hidden gem tucked around the back of a building in Edgartown. You'd easily miss it walking along the street and we just happened to stumble upon it and are so glad we did. The food is great, traditional diner food. The banana bread French toast was fantastic. The prices are also very reasonable given the diner's location. Service was also fantastic - our server was friendly, personable and a pleasure to chat to throughout our meal. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Cute diner with fun old school diner decor. Service was welcoming and efficient. We did not have many options of open restaurants because it was off season. Our fish and chips was a little over cooked and dry. The clam chowder was acceptable. Good place to have a no fuss casual meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to get a meal on Martha's Vineyard. Reasonable prices and real homemade food! We all ordered breakfast without any complaints and nice size portions. The stall is great and very friendly!

Jackie L.

Yelp
Outstanding and EXTREMELY pleasant diner! It is situated in the beautiful town of Edgartown on the BEST island in the world! The staff was friendly yet professional and very accommodating. The place was light and bright and the food delish!!! Outstanding place will return next year!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. My grandsons and I loved this place. My grandson were enthralled with the decor.
google avatar

Doug L.

Yelp
Went for lunch. They have an all day breakfast so I got the vegetarian omelette. Good size, came with potatoes and I got a biscuit. Music and decor like an old time diner.

Sherrie D.

Yelp
We had terrible service! Had to pay in cash bc credit card reader didn't work. Waitress chased us out of the restaurant demanding a bigger tip!!

Dena F.

Yelp
Service was great. Our waitress was super nice. Had breakfast and all was good. I'm a eggs and toast person so didn't try the pancakes or waffles. Would definitely go back.
google avatar

Adrienne M.

Yelp
A good find on the Vineyard that has a flexible menu for clean eating. I was surprised to find a brussel sprouts meal on the menu. Yummy! Unfortunately we didn't try any of the normal breakfast eats like pancakes, their biscuits or cornbread. Their fries and milkshakes look amazing! Nice friendly service.

Christy N.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast choice in Martha's Vineyard!!! The servers are very nice and pleasant and efficient. They check back to make sure you have everything. The sausage and eggs are great but the cornbread is to die for
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Great food Welcoming, helpful, pleasant staff Good wholesome food Yummy hot chocolate - fabulous menu I will come back

Robert R.

Yelp
Quite honestly possibly the worst food I've ever eaten. I'm a chef and I work/cook all over the place and this was horrible from start to finish. When you go to a diner you know the style of food you're getting but this place was embarrassing. You would honestly have to work hard and try to make food this bad.
google avatar

Cristina N.

Yelp
If you're looking for a classic American breakfast, this is the place. Nothing fancy, just traditional breakfast items. The food wasn't overpriced, the service was great and you're transported to a 50s diner. The French toast is one thing I thought was a different twist. It's made with croissants. Super tasty!!
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
Breakfast was freshly made. Wonderful!! Portion sizes were large. Ester was our server and she was absolutely amazing. Her friendliness will bring you back time and time again. I had banana bread French toast. My friend ate a full breakfast. Delicious!!!
google avatar

Corinne C.

Yelp
Perfect local, service seems friendly - food was okay would have been better had they put the grits on at 6 am instead of when they are ordered. Should have guessed there might be an issue if there is an up charge for substituting grits for homesfries. Idk seems like a win - a box of grits cost $3 and the longer they sit the better they taste. Any waited a complete our for shrimp and grits - we know for sure because the church bells ring on the hour, pretty disappointed but I' will give ya another chance since you are so close to the bus stop to South Beach.

Diemeary D.

Yelp
I loved this diner, sweetest gems working. They were in the process of reopening and so accommodating and welcoming. I love all portraits around the restaurants. I had chicken and waffles and it was such a nice morning and great place to have breakfast.

John B.

Yelp
The ambience 60's environment. The staff is courteous, nice and friendly. However the food is ok. But I recommend this great establishment.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
Superb breakfast and service. Great bacon, eggs and coffee. Everything you would expect in a diner. I'll be back. Thanks for a great breakfast.

Kara D.

Yelp
ran out of the building to get more money from us because she didn't like her tip, couldn't believe it
google avatar

Jameka C.

Yelp
Highly recommended! I'm from Texas and we know how good homemade biscuits should taste. Let's just say these folks know what they're doing. We ate breakfast here 2 days in a row. Perfection within walking distance.

Gail D.

Yelp
1) service was the kindest snd best part of experience 2) ambience was fun 3) Parts of meal were over cooked and inedible (southern Bennie) tho eggs were nicely poached. 4) Adult beverage came in a can and was bitter. 5) long wait for meal and also to check out, tho staff was multi tasking as fast as possible!

Bruce P.

Yelp
Good diner food. Great breakfast. Egg part of the omelet a little under cooked. Would order again. Great service. Reasonable prices for location. 5th star for plastic straws.

Isaiah B.

Yelp
The service is great but food is not. The chicken was extremely dry it tasted like sand paper but the milkshakes were alright
google avatar

Bruce C.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went there every day for breakfast last month, on our visit to the Vineyard. The staff is superb, the vibe is awesome, and the food is magnificent!! It is a must if you go to Edgartown!!!
