Penny and Simon own an absolutely lovely B&B. Their pride and love shine through; we loved our stay there. Some might consider Exford a pass-through town yet we have travelled enough to know that, often times, these are the best places to enjoy. Edgcott House was a gem in the rough. We stayed three nights, enjoyed the dark skies, peace and tranquillity while hiking through Exmoor NP. It was everything we were looking for and I dare say the most delicious and homemade breakfasts we’ve ever had. A different menu (yes, menu) was offered every morning and Penny’s homemade meals , cookies and cakes are to die for (luckily, we’re still standing!). We were blown away at how accommodating Penny was. It’s really good to know that love and kindness are still alive at this special home. Lucky us and lucky Exford, as I am most certain they are a huge part of the heart in their community. SECRET: if you book directly through Penny and Simon, you can cut out the middle-man (app) and get a best price as the apps take large commissions from these little guys (bed and breakfast type lodging). An awesome find- thank you.
