"Go for the distinctive, locally made gifts, but linger for the cuisine at this cozy shop-meets-bistro on Granville Island, right in the heart of Vancouver. Start with a beverage, which could be anything from a gluten-free Forager Lager to a bold Tinhorn Creek cabernet franc to a cocktail like the Manhattan, made from duck-fat-infused Alberta Dark Horse rye and cherrywood bitters. Then, move on to classic dishes that demonstrate the bounty of Canada, such as grilled bison, gluten-free fish-and-chips, and tomato soup with crispy chickpeas and chermoula (a Moroccan herb sauce). Passionate for poutine? Don’t miss Edible Canada’s hand-cut fries, glazed with a delicious gravy made from roasted Fraser Valley duck."
"Edible Canada, Granville Island Fairview by Arithmetic Creative. Edible Canada is not just a dining experience, but a place to connect with one another. Founder, Eric Pateman, is not looking to simply recreate nostalgic dishes, but constantly innovate and explore Canadian food identity. Bare in mind, he’s clear that this is not “tweezer food”, but has created a menu that focuses on incredible Canadian ingredients from 300 artisan food suppliers - p.s. you won't be able to order a Coke here. Try the duck poutine for a Quebecois classic with a twist - duck confit, duck gravy, fresh cheese curds, served with a perfect sunny side up egg. Visit their artisan retail shop to find finely produced Canadian culinary gifts, like Amola Salt and Mellifera Bees honey, to take home."
This restaurant is located inside the touristy Granville Island, it is pricey. Reserve a table ahead of time coz it can get really busy. We enjoyed our food and finished them to the last bite. I liked the pineapple daquiri too. The serving portions are just right. The servers are quick, attentive and friendly. To find free parking can be a challenge, we went to the covered parking for $8.00.

Great Sunday brunch experience! We’re a group of 4 and waited 10mins to be seated, which is not bad for weekend. Waiting area is spacious with benches and heater. In the restaurant, it was very cozy space. We’re impressed with 3 different salts they provided. Food was delicious and I love the maple bacon caesar! Can’t wait to come back!

This was a mothers day celebration. Because of Mothers day, we had to sit outside. It was a beautiful day but we were bothered by people smoking outside the patio smoking. We had to get up to ask them to move away from the doors. Management should have signs to discourage smoking around the patio as it bothers some clients. Everybody ordered their food. I ordered the lamb neck. It was very salty so I let the server know. She changed it immediately. The burger I ordered in place was also too salty. I was too polite to complain again. Service was very good but the food wasnt.

I’ve been here many times with friends and with my family. I love the concept...Canadian sourced foods...and the quality is fantastic. I’ve always had good servers too...fun and relaxed atmosphere. Salmon Poh Boy was da bomb!! And the Amaretto Chai latte...freakin unreal. I’ve had many many other menu items as well that were excellent (elk tartare; burger; fried chicken; elk medallions; octapus)

Great beer selection and food. Loved the local aspect of the menu. The salmon fish and chips was a treat! I tried a beer flight and each beer was unique and tasty! There were lots of unusual options on the menu. Would go again! Highly recommend

Really great service; even better food.
I don't quite know what "Canadian cuisine" is, but the team at Edible seem to know. Every dish is made from local ingredients.
They have a beautiful patio, too!

Went for brunch with my husband and cousin and I think it's safe to say we all enjoyed it. I had the sausage eggs benedict, husband had the elk sandwich(he said the bread was a tad soggy), cousin had the fish and chips.
I only gave 4 stars bc of the soggy bread, and they took a little longer than I would have liked to bring the food. But overall, good food and attentive server.

Despite being in the middle of a great market and many other gems, edible canada looks good but the food is only ok.
Great place to people watch and grab a bite in a pinch but the place is more show than a must go.
