We really enjoyed our stay here. John was a great host. The rooms were comfortable and the B & B was close enough to everywhere. If you like historical accommodation you will love this place. Only downside was no access to a laundry which we need when travelling. There are public laundrys but too far for us to carry clothing to without a car. I would stay here again.

Well located and with an old Georgian style feel. The room was fairly standard - spacious but hard to keep warm! Breakfast was self service and limited to fruit, toast and cereal, with a nice dining area available. Parking very straightforward.

The location is good , offering breakfast with multi sauce and drink. A lot of milk styles and coffee in two styles. Proivde fruits for the guests. Even though guests need to basic clean the dishes. But it's still convenient as the kitchen is very clean.

Great location and style to the place. The main reason for the 5 star is the host however, John was welcoming from the get-go. Couldn’t recommend more!

Great place to stay. Can easily walk into hobart cbd, and airport skybus shuttle drop off/pickup is just a couple of blocks on the same street! Everything was easy! John is a fabulous host, would definitely stay again! Thanks John for everything!

Would highly recommend. Stayed here on either side of our 3 capes hike and loved it. Comfy beds, soft towels, very clean. John host was very accommodating and friendly. Was great to chat with other travellers over breakfast in the open kitchen area. Thanks for the stay

First of all, John the host is a gem. I only stayed one night which is a shame in such a nice historic place. I only eat Corn Flakes for breakfast but it is nice that you can help yourself all the time. The rooms are beautiful - I like it old fashioned. I was worried about the noise of traffic as the windows are old but it soon quietend down.|There are not many sockets to load all the electronic gadgets we have nowadays but that is the way in an old house. I used the one for the kettle. I would stay again. It was in good walking distance to town. |Parking was not easy - it is best to park backwards and it goes uphill. I had a small car and there is a big crack just at the bottom, so I had to step on the gas quite heavily to get over it.

We had a lovely 7 night stay here. John is such a lovely host , with suggestions of what to do and where to go. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. With a walk in robe which was a bonus!! The bathroom looked newly renovated.. All rooms are different, the building was a maternity hospital in its early days, very quirky. .. Its walking distance to town and Constitution dock. We did a lovely walk along the Hobart Rivulet looking for platypus.... no luck this time... ended up at the Cascade Brewery. A bonus at the B&B was the all day breakfast which we thought was well organised and very generous. A selection of breads, cereals, teas, coffee, juices and condiments were available. We would highly recommended Johns place as others have done. It was a lovely chance to meet other travellers from all over the world.
