This café sits right on a busy street, making it the perfect stop for a quick coffee on the way to work. The service is friendly and efficient, and the coffee itself is rich, smooth, and full of flavor—just what you need to start the day right. While seating is limited, it’s an ideal grab-and-go spot for a quality brew. There’s something about starting the morning here that sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. Highly recommend it for a quick yet excellent coffee fix!

A cup of coffee used to be a simple pleasure. Cheap, reliable, a quick pick-me-up. Now it feels like a small indulgence, a luxury you can’t afford to waste on mediocrity in a world where everything feels overpriced. If you’re paying five to seven bucks for a coffee, it better deliver. For a reliable coffee spot in Brisbane’s city centre, head to Edward Espresso and Kitchen. The constant buzz of activity drew me in - a bustling crowd is always a promising sign. The sign outside the cafe promises “quality coffee, fast service,” and the baristas inside work like a finely tuned machine, churning out perfect pours without missing a beat. The medium flatty was $5.50, and worth every cent. Smooth, rich, and satisfying in the way only good coffee can be. There’s not much room to sit inside - it’s more of a grab-and-go spot where efficiency and quality meet. Perfect for a reliable caffeine fix before you get on with your day.

Not a bad cup, consistent with over heating the milk in the 3 days of sampling. Talking with locals this is a go to cafe and the ambience shows . Bitter for my personal liking but better than other cafes

The coffee was great. The service was good however it’s for takeaways than sitting down as the space is a bit small but all in all a good place to have coffee.

Excellent coffee, but the food options are limited (e.g., no poached egg option for avo toast, no chocolate croissants, etc.). I will be back for more coffee! Their hot mocha is very good. Excellent, friendly service staff. Basic atmosphere with limited seating.

Finally had a chance to come back here after a few months of waiting. Located in the center of CBD, riding on the slope between Central station and Queen Street Mall, Edward Specialty Coffee is a hidden gem and really easy to be missed if you don’t pay enough attention. But once you have had their coffee, you will want to keep going back. It is a great place to escape from the busy life outside the window. I grabbed a medium long black with an extra shot. I was offered two choices, fruity and stronger. I didn’t hesitate and chose the stronger one, as I’m working in an hour and I needed something to wake me up. The coffee was alright, very mutual taste. For an extra strong coffee, it wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be, and it actually tasted a bit weak. Maybe I held too big of an expectation, or maybe I’m too tired to taste the intensity of the coffee. But with everything being said, I wasn’t denying the quality of their coffee, as it wasn’t my first time there and their coffee has been consistent. I also loved the fact that the coffee wasn’t insanely hot and was at a comfortable temperature to drink. The service was great as always, which is another thing that makes me want to keep going back. For a cafe focusing on specialty coffee, they truly live up to their name.

A beautiful full flavoursome brew made here. Very smooth with fruity notes & a chocolatey mouthfeel. Polite friendly staff. Looks like they just specialise in coffee , there is a few sweets in the cabinet. Not a lot of seating, but not really necessary as the coffee won't last long..it's too good

The coffee was over-extracted and tasted too bitter — even a latte couldn’t mask the bitterness. The staff member with an Asian face was unfriendly☹️
