Edwards Steakhouse offers an intimate dining experience that feels both upscale and warmly familiar. The cozy ambiance—dim lighting, rich wood accents, and attentive service—sets the perfect tone for a relaxed evening out or a special celebration. The culinary standout begins with the fried green beans, a Southern twist on a classic starter. Crisp, golden, and seasoned just right, they arrive piping hot with a dipping sauce that adds a tangy kick. It’s the kind of appetizer that disappears quickly, so don’t be shy about ordering a second round. For the main course, the New York strip steak is a triumph. Expertly grilled to your preferred temperature, it boasts a flavorful crust and juicy interior that speaks to the kitchen’s precision. Pair it with the garlic mashed potatoes, which are creamy, buttery, and infused with just enough garlic to be memorable without overpowering. Together, they form a plate that’s both comforting and indulgent. ChatGPT said: Here’s a more blog-style rewrite of your post, keeping it conversational and flowing like something you’d read in a food blog: If you’re looking for a spot that balances upscale dining with a welcoming, familiar vibe, Edwards Steakhouse is one of those places that gets it just right. The moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere sets the tone—dim lighting, polished wood accents, and a staff that makes you feel like you’re in good hands. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a date night as it does for a special celebration with friends or family. Let’s talk food, because that’s where Edwards really shines. I kicked things off with the fried green beans, and honestly, they’re a must. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, these little bites come with a dipping sauce that adds just the right amount of tang. They’re one of those appetizers you end up eating faster than you mean to, so don’t be surprised if a second round makes its way to your table. Then came the star of the show: the New York strip. Cooked exactly how I ordered, it arrived with that perfect seared crust on the outside and juicy, tender goodness on the inside. Every bite reminded me why a well-prepared steak is tough to beat. On the side, the garlic mashed potatoes held their own—rich, buttery, and smooth with just enough garlic to keep things interesting without overwhelming the plate. Together, it was the kind of meal that hits all the right notes: classic, comforting, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying dinner here last night with my wife. We are down from Michigan on vacation and visiting family and we went out for date night leaving the kids with grandma for the first time since we had our second. This was the best choice as we had such great food and amazing service. Amaya our waitress was such an amazing person and waitress. She explained all of our questions well and gave great recommendations. Between the amazing food and her exceptional service I would recommend anyone eat here looking for a great meal with great people!

Came for a much needed girls night to celebrate a birthday and a recent promotion. We were treated to the most pleasant evening. Not only was the prime rib special outstanding and well worth it!!! But Shannon was phenomenal, amazing, incredible and just overall a joy. He was the icing on top of our night. Thank you thank you thank you.

My first experience at Edward’s was amazing. I called last minute because I had made a reservation at the Garrison but couldn’t go (that’s another story lol) and was lucky enough to get a table. Welcoming environment, friendly staff, great hot food, amazing drinks - just the way I like them. Shannon was a great waiter. He gave some great recommendations, he ordered my specific drink to my liking, and he wasted no time jumping in as soon as something was needed. Definitely plan to go back and try everything on the menu.

Nice spot for a steak! Shelly provided top notch service and if you go in on Friday night you'll get to listen to some live piano music.

Google
Beautiful restaurant in historic downtown Clarksville! It was our first time visiting and from start to finish; our experience was fabulous! We were greeted and served by our awesome server, Amaya, who was not only sweet and attentive, but so pretty. The lamb chops were the best I’ve ever had and we highly recommend the steak. Plus, the prices are better than any chain steak house around. Oh, and did I mention, they have a pianist!! We both declared that Edwards is our new SPOT!

Dennis S.

Yelp
The food was good, the service great and the atmosphere superb. Live music greeted us when we entered. Parking is better now with the garage just across the street.

Yelp
We have been to Edward's a few times and every single time it did not disappoint. The food is always phenomenal and the drinks are great as well. My husband is a big steak guy so he is picky about his steaks but he has loved everyone he has had here. I highly recommend Edward's for a great local spot with good food!

Yelp
Tonight was our first time and it was phenomenal. Our server, Elijah, was knowledgeable and professional- and very witty. The music was divine- the violinist played and sang quite nicely, delighting us with a diverse repertoire (including Django Rhinehardt, to our surprise!), and sounded a bit like Chet Baker (kept waiting to hear "Look for the Silver Lining). He is a treasure. The food was exceptional, the filet cooked to medium rare perfection, with crisp, delicious asparagus (the biggest I've ever seen), and the bone-in ribeye was a cowboy's dream. Fresh coffee and one of the best crème brûlées I've ever had wrapped up a wonderful experience. Looking forward to next time already.

Yelp
The server wasn't sure what he was doing. But the food came out good. Wear a jacket it was chilly in there.

Yelp
Pros: Lamb chops were cooked well. Good atmosphere. We were able to be seated immediately. Cons: kids meal is cheap, and by cheap I mean price wise but also quality of the food, in particular the chicken tenders. The fries were bigger than the tenders and you can tell they're like cheap Tyson tenders. My husband's ribeye steak was paper thin and overcooked. I have never seen such a thin cut of 'ribeye'. Service wasn't great. The bread was extremely doughy, but that's complimentary so whatever. We got 2 cocktails and couldn't taste any alcohol, I typically complain that drinks are too strong for me so this is saying something. My husband was so excited to try a local steakhouse, but we wish we went to Texas Roadhouse instead honestly. We will not be back.

Yelp
Not impressed but great portions, nice music, friendly manager, and pretty location! The mashed potatoes were really good. Thankfully they had A1 steak sauce. The artichoke dip was fine. Seems a bit low quality in terms of food flavor profiles & prep. On that note it is affordable for steak so the grade is likely lower. I don't have to return here but maybe you'll enjoy it! Go, enjoy!

Yelp
What can I say about Edwards????? Alot really! For a local spot here in Clarksville amongst great pizza and great atmosphere they definitely stand out. I will say that it's not my first time. For an upper tier steakhouse, they will not disappoint. The food came out fast and on point. Portion size was worth the money. Don't go in thinking you're going pay 50 for a steak and get a 6 ounce Ribeye with nothing to compliment it. My pictures will speak for themselves. Steak and lamb was cooked perfectly and the sides were excellent. I recommend the Shep Sirloin and the twice baked potato. One thing not pictured were the salads and bread that came with it. Excellent on both. They do have a live piano bar in the upper deck but we stayed in the main restaurant area. Our waitstaff was extremely attentive and moved with a purpose. I will definitely go back! You should reserve a spot today!

Yelp
We were a party of 13. We went last week, same day reservation! I appreciate the last minute accommodation. Service was excellent! My entire family was satisfied with their choices, we all tried a variety of items; from the salmon to the ribeye, no complains! I had the Lamb Chop, it was delicious I would say it was just missing some herbs, maybe some mint. Our waiter was so friendly, attentive, and good with kids! I forgot his name, tall young fella. Sangria was delightful. The cheesecake and birthday card for my sister was a nice personal touch. I can't wait to go back :).

Misty M.

Yelp
Great service, great food and great ambiance. The fried green tomatoes were delicious as well as the steak and asparagus. The service was old school class, which is hard to find nowadays. This is our new go to in Clarksville.

Yelp
We have made a 45 minute drive just to go to Edwards for dinner. Their food is consistently great. The fried green beans are yummy! Caleb's ribeye melts in your mouth. I am not even a ribeye person and I get a ribeye every time I come here. Their homemade ranch is delicious. Service is always wonderful. Truly can't go wrong.

Yelp
Awesome food, Old town atmosphere. Historic area of Clarksville. Follow up dinner with a theater visit!

Mariah H.

Yelp
Visited on my husband's birthday. The steak was A+, cooked perfectly. Sides were just ok. Bread was delicious along with the spinach artichoke dip. Husband got free cheesecake since it was his birthday. Enjoyed the ambiance. Service was good.

Yelp
Amazing food with amazing service! MUST TRY! Our waiter Berr was so amazing and attentive. The overall restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. We celebrated our 12 yr anniversary and we were gifted a complimentary cheesecake & a card. Very thoughtful :)

Yelp
Everything went as planned! Delicious food, and drinks! The service was excellent! The restaurant was so clean, beautiful and friendly!

Yelp
Edward's Steakhouse is a fine dining experience. The food is prepared perfectly with the right seasoning, the atmosphere is perfect and the service is as friendly as can be. I took the wife for her birthday one year and will definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to empress that special someone, a special occasion, or just as a treat yourself experience.

Yelp
Delicious delicious delicious one of the most amazing steaks I've ever had other than Torino. I don't think I've had a better day.

Yelp
Steak was great and cooked exactly how I wanted it, service was good as well, other than took a while to get drinks from the bar. For being a steakhouse the oysters were actually pretty good! Maybe some hotsauce brought with would be nice! Enjoying live piano and a steak is always a relaxing and good time.

Yelp
Myself and 3 others tried to come to Edward's for dinner at 8pm on a Friday. When we arrived, the door was locked with patrons inside and the hours posted on the outside stated they didn't close until later that night. When we tried to open the door the person working the front desk looked at us and just shook their head. She didn't have the decency to come speak to us, and made us feel like our business was not wanted. We will never return even though we didn't have the chance to even try their food.

Yelp
OMG!!! Newbie alert! 3.2.2024 was my 9th wedding anniversary and I decided to take my husband to get a steak since he is a steak guy. I'm not a steak person by any means but let me tell you the steak I ordered was perfect! I didn't have a reservation but the sweet lady at the desk told us that we could sit at the piano bar upstairs so we wouldn't have to wait 2 hours to be seated downstairs. So we went upstairs and it was actually the best seats for us. There was a guy playing the piano. We really enjoyed that. The bartender was awesome. The drinks were good. We had fried calamari and spinach/artichoke dip for apps. I ordered a 6oz sirloin medium well, garlic mashed potatoes and my husband ordered the pork chop, Mac n cheese and broccoli. The steak guy ordered a pork chop! Lmao. He got the recommendation from a regular customer. Everything and when I say everything was delicious I mean it. Hot and very flavorful! We will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Been here 2 times now. Gave it another star after the 2nd time. Our waiter SATTY is the guy ! One of my fave waiters I've ever had really. They are lucky to have him for a lot of reasons. I added a star to their review because of him. The lamb chops were great with the mushrooms and super bomb mashed potatoes! We were able to bring our own wine! That was fun ! Only $8 cork fee. The salmon is good. Mac n cheese is fire ! The filet was okay. The 1/2 off apps was a heck of a deal. I loved my grilled wedge ! So yummy and different. The owners are lovely. The vibe is relaxing. And the food is good. I think they should get a different beef source before someone else in town does. It's not like a palm or Morton's or Kane prime- But would be nice if they had an option like that on their menu for the beef connoisseur here in Clarksvile.

Yelp
We visited Edward's Steakhouse for the first time on Thursday night for my sister n law birthday. We were very impressed with the service. From the time we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a friendly smile and escorted to our table. The waiter was very friendly he catered to our needs. The food was delicious and sister n law was pleased with her filet mignon and The brisket was excellent. The ambience of the building was nice and pleasing. The piano music from the bar was great. We will definitely visit Edwards Steakhouse again. I forgot to say that the waiter brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle on top for my sister-in-law's birthday.

Yelp
Short version: - Dated menu - Poor service - Long wait for every step in the food service - Louder than expected atmosphere - Heavily heavily salted main course. Long version: I wanted to take my spouse out for a birthday dinner, so I looked for a place that would be quant, quiet and not a chain restaurant. Edwards looked like it would be the perfect place. We called when they opened (4:30pm) and the earliest reservation we could get was 8pm. (Later than we hoped for but we thought it would be worth it). We arrived around 7pm thinking (maybe) we'd decide to eat in the bar area but were happy to find that someone else had cancelled their reservation. Though the majority of the restaurant remained empty during our (2 hour) meal, were seated at the table closest to the entrance and hostess station. Piano music filled the place from the bar upstairs the entire time we were there. At first it was novel, then we found ourselves hoping the piano player would take a break so that we could have a conversation. After waiting 15 minutes for a waitress to bring us water and menus, we ordered drinks. During the wait I went to the ladies room to wash my hands. The rest room can only be described as "destroyed". (I think we all know what that means). Another 15-20 minutes later two vodka berry drinks arrived that were quite good. Then we were asked if we wanted an appetizer. Again, another 15-20 minutes later we were brought our appetizer and asked for our dinner order. We noticed that the other three occupied tables had bread baskets. We'd not seen it on the menu, and wondered why we never received ours. (We were pretty hungry by now and the bread would have been a good balance for the alcohol). Salads arrived another 10 minutes later and 20 minutes later our main course. We'd both ordered the filet mingon. One with broccoli & cheese, the other with mushrooms. Both steaks came as ordered (A+). But the broccoli, alas, had no cheese. When this was pointed out, the broccoli was taken away and returned minutes later wilted with melted. It had obviously (and unfortunately) been microwaved. (Ugh). Digging into the steaks and mushrooms revealed why salt & pepper had not been provided on the table; A heavy layer of kosher salt & cracked pepper covered everything. (So sad, because they appeared to have been cooked correctly). After nearly two (2) hours we left hungry and sadly disappointed. There will certainly be other birthdays. But I would have liked to have made this one special.

Yelp
Went last night for my first time, to celebrate dear friend's birthday. Had a reservation and got seated right away. Server was Elijah and was very attentive. Food was so good and came out timely. Birthday Girl received a free dessert (cheesecake) with candle and a card! All the staff that had a hand in our evening signed the card personally. Such a nice touch. Definitely a memorable evening. If you're looking for a quiet date night or a friendly dinner like we did, this is the place to go. Thank you Elijah for helping make my friend's birthday special.

Amanda D.

Yelp
Best waiter, and a great shrimp cocktail. Took away 1 star for a steak house being out of baked potatoes.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere, delicious steak, and the most professional service I have seen in a long time. Make reservations in advance or you may not be able to get a table.
google avatar

Louis T.

Yelp
Our second time at Edwards was a great as the first time. Food was excellent with generous portions. Dressing for the salads is wonderful--l love blue cheese and it's some of the best I've ever had. Service was top notch--our server Blane was amazing. He was attentive without being intrusive or overbearing. Don't let his young age be a deterrent, he is courteous, friendly and takes great pride in his job--so rare among many of today's youth. We will be returning soon.

Stephen S.

Yelp
Fantastic! Well prepared as should be! Service was pleasant, personable and knowledgeable about the food and drink! atmosphere was pleasant and calm!

Yelp
In a city full of chain restaurants and mediocre, is definitely a restaurant you should try at least once. Now if you don't make reservations there is probably no way that you'll be able to come in and just sit. Luckily though, even without reservations you can walk upstairs and eat at the bar or eat where there is open seating near the bar. Decor and ambiance is fancy, especially when you consider that you are just downtown in Clarksville. There was even a piano upstairs, that was automatically being played at the time. While just at the bar section briefly, just had a drink and an appetizer. The nachos presentation was definitely different than what I would normally see. The ingredients....hard to put my finger on it, but I was definitely pleased as well as the drinks being well made. Been in Clarksville for quite some time and this is my first time checking out Edwards. I will definitely come back - with reservations to at least get the full experience.

Mary O.

Yelp
We love the ambiance here. Stone walls, cozy booths and a few tables help make it acoustically one of the best places for a hearing-impaired diner. The piano music from upstairs trickles down and helps make Edward's a favorite in Clarksville. Food is also quite good. The green bean appetizer is a definite repeat. The lamb is phenomenal, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. It comes on a small bed of mashed potatoes, and the vegetables were a perfect side. We chose crème brûlée, and thoroughly enjoyed each bite. Service was confusing this most recent visit. The young server seemed confused about who ordered what, and kept trying to clear the table before we had actually finished. Definitely a great place for an upscale, civilized meal.
google avatar

Alu H.

Yelp
We were invited to dinner and didn't expect to sit around for an hour. We waited 15 minutes for water, 30 minutes for drinks and 1 1/2 for food. The brisket was cold, fatty, and hard as a rock. Everyone else enjoyed their meals.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Simply put, the best steaks in Clarksville. Ambiance is nice for a tiny restaurant. The staff and owners are great. Reservations highly recommended.

Nathaniel R.

Yelp
Lives up to it reputation. Great polite service with excellent food. One of the only fine dining locations in town. Well worth the wait.
google avatar

Walter H.

Yelp
We visited Edward's for my wife's graduation celebration and were NOT disappointed! We tried the sampler for an appetizer, which was enough food for about three people. I had the bone in ribeye for dinner with a loaded baked potato and the macaroni and cheese, WOW!! Mac & Chz is one of their premium sides and well worth it!
google avatar

Shana B.

Yelp
Edward's was great! From the rolls to the steaks everything tasted amazing!! Our server Ben and the owner made our experience even better!! Will definitely come back if we are ever in Clarksville again!
google avatar

Derek N.

Yelp
Great value for the money. You will die trying the rolls...very good and service was spot on. We had several dishes from the steak to salad and all was good. We will return!

Shawnee L.

Yelp
I think it's awesome how clarksville are businesses, and people in general have donated their resources and time to help our community these past few days. I have a friend who purchased a dinner and show package from the ROXY Theatre for 14 people at $70 each pre-paid. She's a nice lady who does these things for her church and senior groups. Unfortunately the dinner and show were to be on this past saturday but because of the tornado it was obviously cancelled. The ROXY was very gracious in refunding the theatre portion. However they said they could not refund the dinner amount or give a credit for it and that Edward's Steakhouse had the money and they won't refund or credit it. I tried calling to turn this into a good situation, or for clarification as to refund or non-refund policy and to let them know I would post, or write something about this. I was told they were too busy to talk and try in the hours when they are closed-which I tried several times already. I asked if I could be called back during non-business hours and got a pretty convincing "no. I am too busy during the day!" I feel sorry for the senior lady that purchased this package, she feels bad (and somewhat responsible for the seniors who are out the cost of the dinner (I don't know what that was). I ran a business myself for almost 40 years so I know it involves a lot of attention, but am I wrong here for thinking Where's the money? )(which might not be much to most people, but might be a lot to these seniors)
google avatar

J J.

Yelp
guess our server was having an off night which we are all have now and then. Just stinks a little when your having a nice dinner out with your daughter and son in law which you get to see once a year. Food was very reasonably priced, atmosphere was good and food was delicious. We might give them another try but when your service is better at Waffle House than Edwards who know. But like I said, everyone is entitled to an off day. Still tired 19% but not would have been 30% for great service.
google avatar

Vicki W.

Yelp
Ambiance was great! I had the steak sandwich with steak fries and it was awesome. Servers were outstanding and attentive.

Steve Z.

Yelp
My wife and I were thoroughly disappointed in our experience at Edward's. We wanted a nice meal to celebrate a birthday, and we should've gone elsewhere. We wanted local charm and to avoid the chain restaurants. The appetizer was amazing, the salad and rolls were also great. With that we had high hopes for our steaks. when the steaks arrived, they were well done, when we ordered medium. The server took them back to get new ones made. They came back blue rare! They went back again. It appears that the cook just put those steaks in the microwave because when they came back a third time parts were rare, parts were medium and some well done. The meat had lost all of it's juices as well. We settled and ate what we could. We ordered creme brulee for dessert. They burnt the top of it! We assumed when the bill came that we would be comped at least the dessert. Not a thing was removed from our bill. I would not recommend this place to anybody. To top it off the service was slow at best.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
I've only gotten food to go and it's awesome!!! Service with the hostess was more than enough! Thanks a bunch!

Robbie N.

Yelp
We will go back. They do take reservations. Tablecloths and real candles on tables. Pleasant atmosphere. Hostess was friendly and wait staff were attentive. Tonight maybe was off. No bread plates or appetizer plates, salt and pepper shakes offered. Water with no ice--I'm ok with it, but need to have carafe. Ordered battered mushrooms, filets, loaded baked potato, sautéed mushrooms and salads. Mushrooms were huge and rather tough. Filets were tender, would have ordered wellness differently if explained as we asked--one was really dry, but tender. Baked potatoes were not fresh. Bread was delicious, a wheat roll. Salad on was really good and the other salad there was dirty lettuce and a cap left on tomato--we differed on this dish--he said rather plain and mine was good. Sautéed mushrooms were delicious. Like I said we will go again. Just know now how to order.

Yelp
The most basic steakhouse I've even been too.. very tasteless and flavorless. Please don't waste your time nor $$$ The one star is for the blueberry lemon drop Also Dj was a great server
google avatar

Brandon W.

Yelp
What an absolute gem!!!! Edwards is a very elegant steakhouse right in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville. Be sure to make reservations because they are always busy! I've had every cut of steak and all have been tender, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. I'd strongly recommend Edwards for a date night or a special occasion (or any occasion for that matter).

Santiago M.

Yelp
Good food awesome can I complain good food can I complain awesome foodp good good food

Cashea S.

Yelp
We went here for the first time to try it out. The steak was phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned and cooked fantastically. The mushrooms for an appetizer were truly delicious. Not overly greasy and not fake frozen stuff. The salads were also just the right size. I ordered the alfredo not knowing how the steak would be but next time we will both get steaks! We will be returning customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Great meal during out visit, we were in the piano bar area and service from the bar staff was top notch.

Yelp
Best steak I've had in a while! Very juicy, tender, and grilled perfectly medium rare. Our server Elijah was friendly and efficient. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Lee K.

Yelp
Food was just ok but service was very poor. Our waitress had too many guest. She took our order and returned with the check and that was it.
google avatar

Craig K.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a date night or a celebration. Exceptional cocktails with top shelf booze for those of us old enough to know the difference. The steaks are perfectly prepared and the servers were Johnny on the spot. Excellent all around.
