I had an horrible experience. Even if the staff at reception is very gentle, unfortunately the hotel looks very different from the booking apps. It’s old, and even if you book a “renovated room, they basically did not changed nothing. The room was without remote AC control, so the temperature of your room is managed by the reception. The furnitures are very old and full of humidity. The wall are dirty. The beds are old and you can feel the metal springs on your body. The view is not nice because yes you have the ocean in front, but on the right side there’s a football camp abandoned and the main swimming pool was dirty and not working. The Onsen is tiny like a Bathub and you must even bring your own towels, because there’s not a towel service there. The restaurant of the hotel is closed at lunch. So you must to sorted out your lunch by yourself going around in a Isolated island. The room is food mold, so good luck with allergies. I felt a Hostel for backpackers would be better. If you want to get around and you don’t have a car, they even charge the rent for bicycles, which in general in the others hotel is for free. There are no taxi after 7pm, so you cannot decide to go somewhere else for dinner. I felt in prison, not in a nice holiday. I would never come back

Lovely resort! Has a great onsen, hot tubs, pools. Free ice cream/beer if you choose not to have daily room service. The breakfast buffet was also amazing!

Very spacious room. The mattresses were quite hard. Very friendly staff, gave a special treat when they know we have birthday celebration. Location is good ..near to our dive shop too.

It was a good hotel, breakfast was very delicious and beach was excellent. The sea view from our room was a bit so-so, because it was on the second floor and we were above the terrace roof, covering quite a bit of the view. However, we were expecting that the pools would have been operating, but they were closed already (this was in October, which is considered already off-season). I found that strange because it was still 30 degrees warm? That was a big disappointment for me and there was no information about this when we were booking the room. Another strange thing was that they did not let anyone to check-in before 15, even though the hotel was not nearly on full-capacity. Then at 15.00 sharp there was obviously a long queue and everyone had to wait for quite some time - this would not happen if you were just a little bit more flexible when possible.

The location is perfect, with direct access to beautiful Eef beach and to the little village where one can found lots of cute little eateries and a FamilyMart open until late. Very nice staff. I had a sea view room which was just dreamy and I slept every night with the window open, soft breeze and sound of waves. I appreciated that the room was not overly furnished and that all the colors were light which is very suitable for a beach environment. I noticed some reviews mention the place could use a little renovation - true, but this didn’t affect my appreciation at all. Breakfast also good with plenty of choice. If there is some room for improvement I would mention that Wi-Fi was strong only in common areas but in the room it kept logging off. And it would help to have English translation for the breakfast items!

Overall nice resort, friendly staff, and clean. There is a restaurant downstairs, two pools, easy beach access, and a beach house. They offered activities like sunrise/sunset SUP and kayak, snorkeling a sandbar tour. If the beds and pillows were softer, my review would have been five stars. We had a room with twin beds and it felt like sleeping on plywood. There was small, equally stiff pillow per bed which was not comfortable. Overall, I'd recommend the resort!

Really nice hotel right on Eef beach with simple but huge clean rooms. We booked an ocean view room, which has fantastic uninterrupted water views (photo attached), and slept with balcony door open, listening to the waves crashing on the beach all night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel was really good - huge range of food. Also some really nice restaurants nearby with great vegetarian options. The hotel onsen was great - with windows looking out on the beach and ocean. We came and stayed here during off peak/winter - the good side to this is it’s very peaceful and quiet (which is exactly what we wanted - a remote/away from people and city noise break), but the downside is that the pool is closed for maintenance.

Yelp
Just as the earlier review has stated, for sure this hotel is dated, location wise it's smack dab on the beach! Took off a star for the outdated facility. Make sure you opt for the AYCE breakfast buffet which was about $20 US/person. Lots of choices, i.e. miso soup, rice, some type of grilled fish, toast (stay away from the pastries ), various juices, coffee (ice and hot), milk etc etc. The staff was very friendly, but we spoke Japanese, and they understand English! There is no reason for a language barrier in this day and age. One can buy a pocket translator gor less than $100, and they do offer free wifi. Thank you Eef Beach Hotels staff for a wonderful experience.

Yelp
Okay, we were not looking for a resort, just a clean hotel on a nice beach and that is exactly what we got. It was nice, not amazing, but perfect for what we were looking for. We were very happy and breakfast was really good. The location is awesome; you can walk to many places for dinner or lunch (both restaurants we went to in Eef beach were really good), Cocoa conbini is also within walking distance, and the hotel's backdoor is directly to a nice sandy beach. Yes, the rooms are a tad dated, but the hotel itself was clean and every room has an unobstructed ocean view! More expensive than a minshuku, but good for a beachfront hotel.
