Yelp
Ceramique surprised us by it's good prices and good food. We were expecting to pay a lot more as per the website menu. I had the 20 year anniversary menu and the wife had the chef's menu.
They wouldn't serve light drinks because it contains aspartame, so the wife had to settle for H2O. I had a very nice red house wine.
For starters, i got a nice asparagus soup which was good but not exciting. She had the carpaccio of fillet of beef with truffle mayonaise which was heavenly.
My main course was a Limburg zuurvlees, sort of a stew of sweet and sour meat. This is without a doubt the best zuurvlees i have ever had. She had the duckbreast fillet cranberry sause. I had a taste and it was great. Tender duckbreast and a fresh sause. Very good indeed.
Fort dessert there was a walnut -honey parfait which was nice but not great. She had the best darn chocolate mousse i have ever tasted. Chocolaty and creamy.
There was a big group for a birthday so they were very busy. But there was enough attention to the other guests. They really fly for you here. The staff is friendly and charming.
We were an hour earlier than we had reserved for, but that wasn't a problem either.
The interior is a bit dull, bright lights and not very cosy. Plain and simple, no music.
All in all a very good food experience and i would definitely recommend this place for local food.
