EF Go Ahead Tours

Another great vacation with EF Go Ahead Tours. Jacqui, our Tour Director, and John, our driver, were both fantastic. They even made sure the sun came out every time we got off the coach 😉. We chose this trip for the unique itinerary and it did not disappoint. From the whiskey tastings to the visits to organic farms to the stunning landscapes of the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, we loved every minute of it. So many great memories of a beautiful country. And thanks to our fellow travellers for adding to the fun, as well as the many locals we enjoyed chatting with along the way. All in all, an unforgettable experience.

While there were challenges with arrivals (missed and delayed flights) and departures (Air Canada flight attendants strike) overall it was an amazing tour! Our TD Andy was excellent and went above and beyond to overcome the airline challenges! Our fellow travellers were great and we made many new friends. The hotels were well appointed and located in the heart of the cities we visited. The included meals were very good and the excursions were a great value!

Our trip to England Scotland and Ireland was amazing Our Tour Coordinator Nick made everything work like clockwork. He was always clear with instructions on our morning pickup times and meetups for dinners. His commentary on places we saw along our way to destinations was both amusing and educational. Nick was awesome This was our second trip with GoAhead and it certainly won't be our last. Both times our Coordinators went above and beyond to give us the best sightseeing experience of their respective countries. I am confident in saying GoAhead is the company I will always choose when touring Thankyou

The Grand trip to Peru was the most amazing experience. The trip was extremely well planned and laid out. Be aware that it is very active with not much downtime but the positive side is that you will see and experience a huge array of Peruvian places, people and things. The food was amazing and interesting. We enjoyed the visits to many different indigenous villages, some of which served us traditional lunches. We were truly immersed in their lovely villages, customs and ceremonies. The trip to the Amazon was extraordinary -like a scene from a movie. The river was home to birds and animals on shore that were so different and interesting. The piece de resistance was Mach Pichu which exceeded our expectations and will live on as a life highlight. I recommend the second day excursion. It was even better than the first day. Lima, Cusco, Puno etc were all gorgeous and so interesting. Most of all we could not have had such a wonderful trip without our incredible Tour Director Augusto. His knowledge, caring, fun spirit and warmth were so appreciated at every turn every day. We became friends in an unexpected and deeply human way. Overall this trip was a “trip of a lifetime” and well organized by Go Ahead. I recommend checking whether you could book more direct flights, our one regret as the travel days to and from Peru were unnecessarily long. I cannot recommend this trip more highly but always noting that there is a lot of walking and long days of lots of activity and travel. Not for people who would have difficulty keeping up. ❤️

EF/GO Ahead tours are always great. Well organized. Our tour director Gustavo was perfect. He made a great trip fabulous. His information about Costa Rica's history and economy was enlightening. Costa Ricas conservation methods was inspiring. I prefer to see the country I'm visiting instead of staying at the same resort the entire time. This tour delivered that and then some. We traveled from the coast to the mountains and back around to the coast. Our hotels were clean and comfortable. Our transportation was well organized. Our driver was great as well. Shout out to Apa. Would go back in a second.

Wonderful, attentive tour director. She knew all the history. Beautiful hotels, central to attractions, shopping, and dining. Very helpful and competent bus driver. BEST GROUP EVER! So enjoyed the Grand Tour of Turkey.

Our tour of Ireland with EF Go Ahead Tours exceeded all expectations. The accommodations were exceptional, the food was delicous, and every tour was thoughtfully organized. Wanting to experience as much as possible, we opted for all the extra excursions—and they were absolutely worth it. Our guide, Mike, was not only knowledgeable and engaging but also incredibly kind, going above and beyond to ensure everyone had a memorable journey. From start to finish, the trip was nothing short of magical, and we couldn’t be happier!

I just got back from Cherry Blossoms in Japan, and it was an amazing trip! Japan is a gorgeous and fascinating country. It was nice to let EF do all the planning, so I could just enjoy the experience. The tour guide was awesome at her job. She had so much knowledge and enthusiasm. She kept our group of 34 on time and entertained every step of the way. I was very happy with the quality of the hotels. They were more on the upscale side with great accommodations and amazing breakfasts. The washrooms in the hotels were especially good! The pace of the tour was very fast, but that was made clear when signing up. Still, there were several stops that I would have loved to have more time to explore. However, I think that is the nature of going on a group tour and trying to fit in as much as possible in as short amount of time. If I went back to Japan, I would go by myself now that I know how things work so I could spend as much time as I wanted at each stop. But for a first timer with only very basic knowledge of the Japanese language, being with the tour group was perfect. I will definitely be booking with EF Go Ahead tours for my next new adventure overseas!

A most amazing vacation in Italy!! Had never booked with Go Ahead Tours but would most definitely deal with them in the future. Began in Milan and ended in Rome. Six cities in all. Go Ahead Tours is a highly efficient tour company. Hotels were clean with friendly staff. Our tour guide, David, accompanied our group of 34 to every beautiful destination. His vast knowledge of Italy was astounding. Our driver, Vinzenzo, was attentive and delightful. Going to sign up with them in the spring.!!! Sharon L.

well....cancelled a trip for 2027...getting a refund minus what cannot be refunded according to their policies...ok...agreed to that...got a quarter of my refund as I had paid thru visa...(after 10 business days and calling the employee who booked me...) then was told by him and his friends in Boston that due to a " freezing...blah,blah,blah) they will look into it october 1st...I hope they mean they will finally refund me thru my chequing account as for now I still have an account with them...bref, happy not to have spent a fortune on trips with them, read lots of negative feedbacks, but will expect a refund promptly otherwise BBB again and not letting go until it is settled....

I have read several reviews and I always keep in mind that some people are disgruntled and hard to please much of the time. "I had to walk a long distance." It is a tour! "My airline reservations were not clear." Check with the airline! "The guide was grumpy." Ask the guide to be nicer or email the agency! "I paid for the travel insurance and did not get my money back." Really? That is an independent company. For me, Go Ahead Tours seems very clear on their refund and voucher policies. Anyhow, I want to go on a 17-day trip to Israel with side trips to Jordon and Egypt. Yes, there is a pandemic and decisions are tough. Traveling overseas to a foreign country is tough. After much online research, which included actually reading their Agreement (contract), I decided on EF Go Ahead Tours. I chatted online to obtain some clarifications. An hour later, I received a personal email to call Paulina, who was very prompt and nice. I did in fact call a few hours later and immediately spoke with a different person. Eric was very helpful and was on the phone with me for almost an hour answering all by questions, for good or bad. I went ahead and booked the $6,100 trip for early 2022. There was NO problem reaching a customer service representative. There was No ambiguous or conflicting information online or with the rep. If you are going to write reviews for "others" to read, please be factual, give appropriate details and most of all be "fair". I feel confident they will handle my tour after all my current research and interaction. I have read many excellent reviews on several websites in this regard. Both 4 and 5 stars. From people who have taken 1 or several tours with Go Ahead. I feel confident they will provide a good tour. I too must make that happen. I will know more later.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Go Ahead tours, the customer service is always helpful and clear (Shout out to my boy Brandon H.) who helped add my fiancé to a tour with no issue. Im sure every tour has its ups and downs but I always enjoyed the tour guides and company of my fellow travelers.

We have traveled with several tour groups. Thought the itinerary with Go Ahead Tours and the price were good so we signed up for a tour for next year. After a week we decided to go with a more comfortable --i.e. less bus time and better hotels. I contacted them and was 12 in the cue after 45 minutes I hung up. The next day the same. On the third day, I waited because I wanted to make sure to be within the time allotted for a full refund. WoW! I was 8 in the cue, and there is no way to leave a message or get a callback. So I waited. I got to # 1 and after a while, a recorded message came on with a number I could call and they would get back to me! I was not prepared for that message--and did not have time to write down the number. By that time, I was on for 3 HOURS and 9 MINUTES. I called the next day when they first opened up. I was number 3 and still waited almost an hour. Hope I get my refund, but I think their customer service is horrific.

My husband and I took a tour with these folks in 2005. Unremarkable trip and we have not used them since. The ongoing problem is the spam emails. Several every day. I have made many attempts to unsubscribe, to no avail. I am sure that, after so long with no repeat business (16 years) they would assume me, if not dead, at least uninterested. Go ahead (pun intended) and give them your email address if you are lonely and want to hear from anyone at all repeatedly. Otherwise, use a throwaway. They are harder to get rid of than Thetans!

ef tours in canada: absolutely unethical company. they cancel my child's trip and then keep her money, all 3750$ of it. they did not even book the flights or lodging. when deciding to do the right thing, this company doesn't. if the trip did happen, what a nightmare it could have been knowing that this type of company was in charge of the well-being of the kids. when push comes to shove, this company is not there for the students or travelers, they are thinking of only money. a company that cares only about money should have no dealings with schools and children. they do not deserve to be in business. do not send your minor children on a trip with this company.

One and all Seriously consider participating in a Go Ahead adventure for your next vacation! Over the years, my wife and I have participated in four vacation packages with Go Ahead Tours. Each and everyone of these undertakings exceeded our expectations. To date, all of our Go Ahead trips have been to a number of countries in Europe. Food and lodging was above average and in many instances exceptional. North American food was readily available. The Tour guides are true professionals and will quickly becoming one of your long lost friends. I am being sincere when I say they truly care! Within reason, they will go far beyond the norm to address any issues that may arise. My wife and I are already planning our next vacation with Go Ahead Tours. It's time for us to visit another continent. In the coming years I see Japan, China, North Korea ( I mean South Korea) L.O.L. on our list of places to visit. In closing, in my opinion, you will not be disappointed, if you chose to take a vacation with Go Ahead Tours.
