Delicious food, friendly staff, and fun eating companions. 🐄 🐮 It was fun being able to eat while watching the cows eat as well. The ice cream was delicious as well! Definitely recommended stopping and giving it a try. They have a lovely soup buffet for a reasonable price and all the other food we tried was good as well.

Efstidalur II is one of the many unique experiences in Iceland. Efstidalur II is a dairy farm that has a hotel, restaurant and an ice cream shop on their property. We were lucky enough to have the best ice cream; creamy, delicious and refreshing. While enjoying your frozen dessert, Inside the ice cream shop there are windows where you can see the cows that produced the milk that created the ice cream. I only wish we had more time to try the burgers which I'm certain are as fresh as the ice cream. This should be on everyone's itinerary when visiting Iceland. Enjoy!

This was one of the coolest restaurant stops we did in Iceland. Its very remote and you're eating right on the farm basically with the cows. The food and ice cream were both awesome. Highly recommend checking this place out.

We came here for dinner after a long day of exploring the Golden Circle. I saw this place had been highly recommended online and I now see why. We pulled up to a charming dairy farm and easily found parking. Walked into the restaurant and ordered our food at the bar. We got fountain sodas and then sat at a table. We both got the plain cheeseburger which was very delicious, fresh, and cooked well. Fries were seasoned well! Once we finished we walked downstairs to the ice cream shop which had the creamiest most incredible homemade ice cream that I’ll think about for the rest of my life. Inside the ice cream shop there’s windows where you can see the cows. The ice cream is served on an edible chocolate graham cracker spoon. Souvenirs and gifts inside as well! Highly recommend!

We had such a nice stay here! The restaurant and ice cream were delicious and our room was very spacious. Cute pup, too! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and it was fun to stay on a working farm.

Best steak i've had in Iceland so far, and its always to bring kids and friends to show them the animals (which you can enjoy through big windows, straight into the barn from the dining area). I love the straight from farm to plate idea, especially if executed so well.

Stayed 2 nights in a twin room here - bit of an odd set up but room was clean and quiet. Meals in the restaurant were same as everywhere else in Iceland - offering 4-5 kinds of burgers and pizza but also a beef and lamb dish. Very large portions. Sitting by a window you’re able to watch the cows eat. Unique. Homemade ice cream good.

Ecstidalur II is a restaurant that's hidden off the main road in its own little village. Getting here is one road off, so it's easy to navigate, and parking is simple which includes a Tesla charger. Once here, downstairs has an ice cream parlor and upstairs is a restaurant. The restaurant has about 2 dozen tables and views of the cows they use to make some products. Their menu is relatively small, and prices are consistent with Iceland - expensive for not big portions, although the food here was alright. The lamb pretty dry which was a bit shocking. The staff here are very nice but most stuff here is self serve after you order at the bar. Overall it's a good spot to stop off for food like a burger or an ice cream.
