Eger is a luxury brands compartment store placed right by Stortinget (Norwegian Congress), on Karl Johan, Oslo. With brands like Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Stone Island and so on, this is one of few places to shop for high-end fashion in Oslo. While not being quite as big as Steen & Strøm, and not having the top of the line brands (The have Emporio Armani, but not Georgio Armani i.e.), it's still a decent place for the fashion-concerned shopper. Prices are a bit stiff, and you can make a better deal online, but what did you expect?
While it's a bit confusing in lay-out and design, every store within feels luxurious and quite large. They could do with a better focus on customer service - they tend to TRY to focus on those THEY deem worth their time, and thus ignoring customers not already looking like they belong there, and as a well-traversed shopper both in London and Paris, that's something the rest of Europe have long since abandoned, and they should too. All in all, a good place, but with an uneven level of service.
